They allowed my mom and her husband at the time to not let them take me to the hospital. Instead they allowed them just to tell me to walk it off. The new school felt like a prison at the time. Keeping all the drug dealers and criminals stuck inside with us. I once mentioned self harm and the school allowed my mom and her boyfriend at the time just to blow it off. We still due to great planning of the school have a small class, where prince has a blast. He's brought home fun projects to do as a family every once in a while. Last night they threw a dance where kids were literally jumping up and down having a fun time. They had free snacks we were even able to donate ourselves. Santa Claus and The Grinch showed up. This is my son Reggie's Third year attending this school, and I can honestly say that it has been, by far, the best school experience I have ever had with any of my children. I have other children who attended different elementary schools, as well as middle school, within the same district, and unfortunately, my experiences were very different. We dealt with many issues, including bullying, problems with communication, and even situations where my were being bullied by adults at school. Those experiences were extremely difficult for me as a parent. There were times when my children were being bullied, and I would not hear anything from the school. Instead, my children would come home and tell me what had happened. I would then have to go to the office myself to report the situation or ask why I had not been contacted about what was happening to my child. As a mother, that was heartbreaking. I constantly felt worried, frustrated, and disappointed because I felt like I had to fight to make sure my children were being heard and protected. Unfortunately, because of those experiences, my other children are now homeschooled. That is why this school means so much to me. My experience here has been completely different. I honestly believe that this is the best school in the entire Brentwood district. I cannot say enough good things about the principal, the front office staff, and my son's teachers. I truly appreciate how much attention the principal gives me whenever I have a question, concern, or situation involving my son. I never feel like I am being ignored or like my concerns are unimportant. The front office has also been incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. And I especially want to recognize Ms. Nolan. Recently, something happened involving my son while I was still at work. Ms. Nolan took the time to call me personally and let me know what had happened. That may seem like something small to some people, but to me, it meant so much. After everything I have experienced with my other children, receiving that phone call gave me an incredible sense of relief. I was able to continue my day knowing that my son was being looked after and that his teacher cared enough to make sure I was informed. I cannot even explain how much that meant to me. It made me feel like my son was truly in good hands. With my other children, I would often find out about incidents only after they came home. I would hear about bullying or problems directly from my children, and then I would have to contact the school or go into the office myself to make sure someone knew what was happening. I remember how helpless and upset that made me feel. So when I received that phone call from Ms. Nolan, I honestly felt emotional. It gave me a feeling that I had not experienced with my other children: peace. For the first time, I feel like I can send my child to school and trust that the people there are paying attention to him, caring about him, and communicating with me when something happens. As a parent, that means everything. I honestly want to cry happy tears when I think about how different this experience has been. In the past, I cried because I was disappointed, hurt, and worried about how my children were being treated at school. This time, I feel like crying because I am genuinely happy and grateful. I am so thankful that my son has teachers who care about him and a school that communicates with me. I am thankful for a principal who listens to my concerns and takes them seriously. I am thankful for the front office staff and everyone who contributes to making this school a place where my child can be safe.

My two grandsons go there and just loved their kindergarten teacher Ms Lingenfelter and now the oldest is in first grade is impressed with his first grade teacher Ms. Smith they are wonderful ladies. What we can't get is that nowadays quite a few grandparents are raising their grand kids due to the parents of the lovely children. Some of us grandparents have their grandchildren due to the miss conduct of their parents, ie, drug, guns, etc., and are afraid that at any given time someone has threatened them and their children. As the guardians of these little guys we keep them safe from strangers and harm when they are with us but when we let them go to school we want to be safe that the gates are locked and when the EXIT is on a gate that means EXIT only, no entrance of anyone at any time. My youngest son was allowed to enter into the kindergarten play yard and he has no children in that school and has not been on the school grounds this year for the new parents or some of the old ones to see this year but yet someone leaving held the gate open for him since he was running in that direction. This was an issue last year when a child was pleaded to open the gate and a non parent was on the school ground and roaming around before he was approached by office personnel and escorted off the premises before something regretful happened, so please when i make a remark to you about this gate being exit only, heed my concern for the safety of my grandsons and your children.

I do not recommend this school. if you want to feel like a prisoner, or a person without value by all means attend here, but this is the worst school i have ever been to in my entire life i have moved schools every year since 3rd grade and i have never felt so unimportant and invalid in my life. The sophomore history teacher , Rita Landski, is very closed minded. she may say she's open to new ideas to help her grow as a teacher, but once you give your ideas she plays victim and makes it seem as if you're a bully and goes on a power trip. The 10th grade health teacher ,Heather Pool, she is good teacher but will give attitude out of nowhere. she can be a bit unprofessional at times. she grades very slow but can build a bond with students i will say she picks and chooses. Mr wilkins and Mrs crossland do not care about the students. please save yourself or your child and do not attend here.
