the inside of a pita sandwich
Hayward L.

The location doesn't look like much from the outside, it's located in a strip mall and the storefront is pretty small. However, the food itself is pretty good. The pita bread is very thin and the sandwiches are huge, about the size of a Chipotle burrito and stuffed with meat. Presentation of the food could be a lot better, everything comes in separate plastic takeaway containers. Ordered a salad with meat on it which literally came in separate boxes for the leaves, the dressing, and the meat, which doesn't really make sense. Can't complain about the quantity of food though, you will definitely feel full afterwards.

Fresh and quick Mediterranean food. The large Greek salads are huge, enough for 2-3 to share. Lots of feta cheese on top and they definitely don't skimp with the rest of the toppings. I ordered mine with Gyro meat which was packaged up separately to stay fresh. It's a mostly carry out place but they do have some tables to dine in. I also tried the falafel. The falafel came with a side of tahini sauce and pickled beets. Very tasty. I'll definitely be coming back here again to try some of their other Mediterranean dishes.

Greek salad with Chicken from Pita'z. My favorite salad in town. If you haven't had it you should try it.

I knew this place was a 5 from me when I was far away from this place near another good gyro restaurant and all I could think how much I wanted Pita'z instead. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu! The food was made to order fresh, so it does take a little longer which they do highlight upon coming in. I really loved the flavor of the gyro combo that I got and I felt that there was some extra flavor that I don't always get with many gyros. They offer quite a variety of options here and I look forward to exploring more.

Located in the CR burb of Hiawatha with a prime location next to many sprawling businesses. Think fast cas in a strip mall, but in a positive, everything is new way. I ordered the gyro pita combo with a med salad. The salad came up first in a timely fashion. Order dressing on the side, as mine was drenched. Minus one point. The gyro had the short chunks of meat that I've seen at a few other places. It's not a schwarma style shaved meat. The gyro was a very elastic, almost burrito tortilla like shell. Minus a 1/2 point for each of these. Convenient location, yes. Just ok food.

If you Find yourself in Hiawatha or even NE Cedar Rapids. You will want to eat here. Once you try their food you are hooked. I have been consistently getting their salads for over 2 months weekly. They are a quick lunch and have amazing full flavor.Today i stopped in after buying groceries over Lunch. I wanted to get good Pita chips for a dip i was making. I had mentioned i never tried Gyro Meat and said i would go with a small chicken greek salad anyway. He not only gave me Gyro meat to try he gave me my stuff on the house today because i openly tag and support their business on yelp and instagram. Literally brought me to tears. I'll be back tomorrow and i'm purchasing gift cards.

One can always google items but it might be kinda cool to have sections of the store shelves translate items to English - only for the ease of browsing quickly to try new things. The layout of the store was ok with baklava and fresh eats off to the same side & meats, cheeses and olives in the back. I specifically wanted to try the Dubai chocolate and I am craving to eat more! It's something I am going to seek out again soon when I get a chance. It was stored in the order fresh food display case. I got there about 1pm on a Saturday and three were left and I took one bar. While I was there someone grabbed the last two so they go quickly! The ratio of filling to chocolate is perfect. I also tried some baklava and Basbousa and I've decided it's not my go to but prefer it warmed up in the air fryer when I'm eating it. The fresh bakery items when you first walk in were tempting so I tried the meat and cheese filled triangle bread (not sure exact name) and they were tasty. The olive assortment was amazing in the back. I ended up with the mixed spicy olives and we both enjoyed snacking on them over the weekend. I ordered mix grilled platter to go (Shish kebab, Shish Tawook, with special rice, babaganouj, pickles, onions, garlic, or tahini sauce) I really liked the chicken and found the beef pretty bland. I would try the chicken wrap next time. The fresh pita to take home will be on my list next time.
