This is my go-to place when I'm hungry and in a pinch. I feel like it's a healthier alternative to fast-food when I'm out and about. I usually get the chicken Caesar which is chicken and bacon. They build your pita as you tell them what you want on it. I already loved this place and now they have a new menu with lots of new options like Sriracha chicken and Thai chicken! Yum! read more

I agree with a prior review that Pita Pit should mix up the ingredients because on each pita I can have multiple bites of the same veggie without getting any of my main topping (usually chicken). I visited this location recently after finding my Pita Pit "Special Customer Card" in my wallet. The employee at the register informed me that they no longer accept the card because they have moved to an electronic card system. I had nine stamps on my card which says, "Buy 10 Pitas and the 11th is on The Pit." They told me my card was no longer valid. I think it would be better business if Pita Pit honored the cards until they left circulation or credited prior purchases on the new electronic card. Pita Pit does not do either. I was willing to pay what I thought was a little higher price because the food is fresh and I was getting a deal, but I am not sure I'll go back when they discontinue a promotion for special customers. read more

I stopped by the Pita Pit in Rochester yesterday for a healthy lunch. The special, a fajita pita, was not just tasty- it was outstanding! The right amount of food and the right mix of toppings had me planning my next meal there. The store and dining area are clean and family friendly. The Pita Pit had dozens of options for my meal. They take pride in their fresh ingredients, and they prepared the sandwiches right in front of me. I have gone there a few times now, and the service is always fast and friendly. I don't live close to Pita Pit, but make a point to stop there anything I am nearby. read more

Went here for for lunch 11/5, ordered 3 Pitas. It was very disappointing as not only did we have to wait 20 minutes to get our to go order but on one of our pits we ordered a Club and only got bacon & lettuce. The second wrap came with incorrect cheese. The third wrap was ordered as a veggie wrap and the only veggie in it was lettuce!! We didn't realize until we got home that the order was a complete disaster. Very disappointing experience!! read more

Great lunch stop. Quick & efficient employees. Fresh ingredients. I generally get the falafel pita. They're well seasoned with a very forward cumin flavor so if you're not a cumin fan I would suggest something else. They're tzaiki is very good. Just had a pita from here and hadn't in a while, the last one I got was good cooked onions and peppers and mushrooms with my chicken breast. This time didn't even ask if I wanted it that way! I just ordered 3 pitas 2 for my boyfriend and one for me, 2 regular size and one small size. I ordered the chicken soulvaki (sp?) in the regular size the gyro in regular and a Philly in a small. My chicken one was as small as the philly, even though I paid for a regular. The girl from the store called to confirm the order, I gave specific details about how I wanted my pita (I know, what a pain in the butt) she said all set and hung up. It took over an hour for them deliver to us, which they are 9 minutes away... maybe they were super busy, who knows. So I open up my pita to make sure it is correct. Nope. Come on!! I ordered a pita as a salad. Waited patiently in line for my salad to be created and wow!! The service that was.......mind boggling. If I order a specific pita off your menu, make it the way it is supposed to be made. Don't ask me what to put on it, put on it what your supposed to put on it then ask me if I would like anything else. Pita Pit employees are the only ones privy to the toppings, me as a customer have know way of knowing, in store, what goes on these pitas. Also, I ordered a "forkable" pita. Better than expected considering other reviews. I may have been lucky, but I liked it

Unfortunately my first Yelp review is a negative one. After thinking about my meal for the past 24 hours I felt compelled to write both a warning to potential customers and a recommendation to the owners, managers and staff. I ordered the chicken souvlaki wrap. I was immediately concerned when I saw the employee remove the "chicken" from a bin in a cabinet under the stove as opposed to somewhere visible to the customer. All you can see are the vegetables going into the pita. The meat is never seen until you bite into it. Now I am not saying this was not chicken, but it was not any part of the chicken one would want to eat. 15 tiny chunks of slimy darkness each covered 75% with fat. The meat had to be removed in its entirety and I went vegetarian this day. The owners, managers and staff should be embarrassed to serve this food. I suggest that they all take a road trip to Buffalo and stop into any Rachel's Mediterranean and see how this same food is supposed to be prepared and served - and for less $ too. I'm giving a single star for the friendly server and fresh veggies. read more

I ordered the Chicken pita online. I specified no tomato and extra sauce IN the pita. I ended up with tomato and sauce on the side. Went back in to complain and the manager apologized and offered a refund, but took the bag of food back from me. I told her to forget it - I was already late back to work to get a different lunch. Finally I make it back to work. After 10 minutes of fussing with this SUPER thin and SUPER soggy pita bread to get it opened so I could pick the tomatoes out and put the sauce in(that wasn't done for me as asked), I somehow managed to roll it back up into something that resembled a pita. At this point everything would have been fine. I would have sucked it up and enjoyed my lunch. HOWEVER, while biting through my pita I'm wondering why they even call it a "chicken" pita, since there were probably only about 3 pieces of chicken the size of quarters in there. I legit did not taste ANY chicken whatsoever - it was practically non-existent. I did, however, get an over abundance of cucumber, which turned the paper thin pita bread into mush that was falling apart. Needless to say, it was not fun trying to eat at my desk because the restaurant I ordered from messed up my order. Waste of money - waste of time. Won't return. read more

Three three times and your out! Poor customer service with employees who have no knowledge of working a register. The meat was frozen and the employee was rude to my 12 year old child for no reason. Last week, I walked in and was immediately greeted with smiles by the staff. The lighting made the place feel warm and welcoming which changed my mood into a 360 and felt happy to have walked in there. I am deaf so I typically just type out my order on my phone or just wait for them to give me a paper with all the ingredients on it. But as soon as the kind gentleman noticed I was deaf, he kindly gestured to hold on a second and went to the back to get someone. A girl followed him back to the front and started using sign language for me! Do you know how hard it is to find someone in a restaurant business to know ASL? She took my order and continued so with a smile and proceeded to have a small conversation with me as if I was like any other customer. She ensured that I got everything I wanted with no screw ups. I wish I had gotten her name but I will definitely back there soon for more and to hopefully have her take my order again! :) read more
