    Falafel wrap

As a newcomer to Ajax, I was looking to find a nice local replacement for our old favourites in the city and Pita Delites exceeded our expectations. While slightly on the pricey side you do get your money's worth. The wraps are very generously sized and full of toppings, you get exactly what you pay for, my husband usually would eat two at our old usual place whereas he was full and couldn't eat another bite after one! The falafel tasted very fresh, the chicken was moist and delicious, we loved that their is tabouleh inside the wraps too! Very excited to have found this local gem.

I'm on a mission to find a really good shawarma spot in the Durham region. Authentic shawarma is really hard to find and coming from a Middle Eastern background, I can be a bit picky. So Pita Delites is in a small plaza, definitely could use an update in terms of decor and presentation. My issue here was the condiments and veggies did not look that fresh, lettuce was not fresh, onions looked dry, so that part was very annoying for me. I ordered the chicken shawarma, falafel wrap and garlic potatoes. The highlight was the falafel, it was fresh, light and crunchy! The chicken shawarma was a good size but could definitely use more sauce! I loved that they were both crispy. The garlic potatoes were okay, nothing special. I would recommend the falafel! I hope the next time I come, there's some fresh veggies! Keep Eating, Angela

Home made Falafel wrap and garlic potatoes

We met the owner Olfat down by the shores of Lake Ontario this morning. She was so kind and gifted my friend Carly with a basket of goodies, little did she know it was her birthday! She invited us to have lunch at their restaurant, we were welcomed warmly and served the most delicious home made falafel wrap and garlic potatoes. We purchased their homemade pickled turnip and jalapeño hot sauce. They even wrote happy birthday on her wrap. Such an amazing experience on our long trip across Canada! Thank you so much for your generosity and delicious food, we will certainly be recommending anyone we know to stop here on their travels.

Go to Shawarma spot. Good Quality and Always Fresh. You can't go wrong with a wrap, fries, salad, or soup. Fries are hand cut and have good seasoning if you ask for it. They have garlic fries but I prefer without... the garlic sauce is too tangy on fries but still good in a wrap. Overall, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Loved this spot. Will definitely be back. Fresh Veg, huge pitas, great meat. Im a picky meat eater. I hate getting wiggly chicken in my Shwarma. The meat here is delicious. They put a million toppings each brings a uniqie flavour combo to the shwarma. We all got mix shwarma (chicken and beef) and the garlic fries combo with a falafel side (we all wanted to try the falafel). We all dominated our wraps. I like my garlic sauce on the fries to be a little more tangy... but thats a personal preference. Overall new favorite Shwarma spot!

I was craving shawarma for lunch and I was too far from my usual go to spots. I yelped this spot and felt good about my choice because it has decent reviews. The service was non enthusiastic. Not particularly friendly. I'm not sure why because while I was eating the customers that appeared to be regulars were greeted with much more cheer. My shawarma salad was average. The chicken was moist and had a decent crisp from spinning on the spit. I requested hot sauce on the chicken and unfortunately they put it all over the salad. I'm not sure if anyone has ever tried hot sauce covered salad It doesn't work to well. Overall this was meh.

I work in Pickering and due to my hours a lot of my deliveries show up when I'm not there. So I thought to show my appreciation for the guys next door I'd get them lunch. They were all fans of shawarma so I looked for a few local places and settled on here. One of the guys at the shop is vegetarian so it was good to have a decent selection of options for him. After delivery fees and tip it came out to $133. There were 6 of us and everyone was pretty hungry. When all was said and done everyone had their fill and there was enough left for three take home containers. It really was an absurd amount of food. It was all very good except for the meats. They were quite dry. With the help of the ample sauces they provide you can cover it up but it was a little disappointing that the main staple failed to deliver. The roasted potatoes were also sort of mediocre. However, the rice, babaganoush, and tabouli were incredible. The falafels were crispy and moist on the inside with great flavours. It all more than made up for the lacklustre meat. I'm not a big tabouli guy but I think I had four servings of it. It really is that good. If I had to order again I'd avoid the potatoes and probably only get one of the meats, if that. It's a weird thing to say about a pita place to avoid the meat but I think the non-meat options just deliver on such a high level it makes sense here.

Two family platters. One large, one small. So much yummy foods!!

It was okay but nothing special. The pita bread in my falafel wrap was dried out and tough. Kind of ruined it for me.

Ryan is the founder of the business, which he runs with family and friends. We got to meet Riott, his son, who had a love for skulls and all Halloween decorations at this eatery. This place specializes in sandwiches. Many of their meats are slow-cooked for ten hours. Sauces, soups, and slaw are homemade. We ordered many items off the menu and had what we liked: - Jalapeno and house slaws - Chickpea and ham soup - Roasted garlic and tomato soup - The Brooklyn (Italian) - Hot corned beef - Montreal smoked meat - Slicey's chopped chicken - Chicken club wrap I started with the hot corned beef sandwich. The corned beef was generous and so flavourful. The rye bread held all that tender corned beef together, along with the best grainy mustard aioli. I am a soup girl. I enjoyed the roasted garlic and tomato soup. It had the perfect amount of garlic with tomatoes, along with onions and spices. It was a comforting, smooth soup. The chickpea and ham soup was excellent. It had nice cubes of ham with chickpeas. It was so hearty and delicious. I also love slaw. The jalapeno and house slaws were crunchy. The former was creamy with a touch of heat. The latter was vinegar-based. You get the best of both slaw dressing worlds! I then had the Montreal smoked meat. It was full of the most tender smoked meat on rye bread with mustard. So good! I'm not sure how I managed to down Slicey's chopped chicken sandwich. It was so good that I did! It had slow-cooked chicken that was chopped with tomato, and red onion. It included the jalapeno slaw, along with white cheddar. It was messy to eat, but so worth it. The flavours were outstanding. This business supports other local businesses. The bread comes from a local bakery. It also features Purple Tongue hot sauces. Staff are super friendly and kind. They can craft a sandwich to your liking if you go with The Riott. There were two separate washroom stalls. I used one of them before I left this eatery. It was clean. No complaints. It's a comfortable place to hang out with friends over good food and drinks. I ended up having a Diet Coke and Crush cream soda during the two hours that we were here. They were cold and refreshing. It's street parking for three hours. It's free, which is nice. Alternatively, there is a parking lot across from this eatery. I look forward to returning for more good eats and soup. It's a gem of a sandwich place that happens to have awesome soups and slaw. (391)

The husband and wife team were working away behind the counter and young Ryan was spending time with his family and his toys; Genuine wholesome service. I spoke with the owners and they shared that they always enjoyed supporting local sandwich shops, but after their favorites closed they decided to open their own. I love that . Bread is fresh daily from a local bakery. Depeding on the day they can sell out of items but that just speaks to popularity and freshness. We ordered a bunch of different items and split them all. Sandwiches are loaded with bright, fresh toppings. I also LOVE that they support local and even have my FAVORITE hotsauce in store. Purple tongue. I highly recommend adding the cilantro lime to any sandwich. It compliments them so well. The Brooklyn (Italian) Hot Corned Beef Montreal Smoked Meat Slicey's Chopped Chicken Chicken Club Wrap Jalapeno & House Slaw Chickpea and Ham Soup Megan's Roasted Garlic Tomato Soup The Italian was definitely a favorite and the Slicey's Chopped Chicken was so incredibly tender. The tomato soup was quite flavorful and another fan favorite for our group. There's lots to see in this area, so we even went for a stroll after our amazing luncheon .

But then I wanted something elevated for celebration (of surviving this week). Burgers on Fleek was perfect for this! We ordered: - The Melt : Beef patty with swiss cheese, mushrooms, sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, and garlic mayo. - The Classic :Beef patty with lettuce, tomato, pickles, sautéed onions, and store special "Fleek" sauce. - Poutine Burgers were excellent!!! Pillow-y fluffy super soft brioche buns with thick juicy beefy patties, veggies were super fresh and crispy. Loved "The Melt". Mushrooms kept moist and crunchy texture, perfect thickness and done-ness, super flavourful, matching perfectly with melted Swiss cheese. Poutine's gravy had spiciness to it, which was not my liking. But the cheese was stretchy indicating good quality. If I got this eat-in, it must have tasted different (much better). But this is a Burger joint, and their burgers are EXCELLENT!
