They've got all kinds of choices, something for every craving, including soups of the day, salads, and more. This time around, I had their Chicken Club sandwich and it was delicious and filling. It was served with potato chips and a pickle on the side. Great meal! Check them out at 90 Old Kingston Rd in Ajax!

Ryan is the founder of the business, which he runs with family and friends. We got to meet Riott, his son, who had a love for skulls and all Halloween decorations at this eatery. This place specializes in sandwiches. Many of their meats are slow-cooked for ten hours. Sauces, soups, and slaw are homemade. We ordered many items off the menu and had what we liked: - Jalapeno and house slaws - Chickpea and ham soup - Roasted garlic and tomato soup - The Brooklyn (Italian) - Hot corned beef - Montreal smoked meat - Slicey's chopped chicken - Chicken club wrap I started with the hot corned beef sandwich. The corned beef was generous and so flavourful. The rye bread held all that tender corned beef together, along with the best grainy mustard aioli. I am a soup girl. I enjoyed the roasted garlic and tomato soup. It had the perfect amount of garlic with tomatoes, along with onions and spices. It was a comforting, smooth soup. The chickpea and ham soup was excellent. It had nice cubes of ham with chickpeas. It was so hearty and delicious. I also love slaw. The jalapeno and house slaws were crunchy. The former was creamy with a touch of heat. The latter was vinegar-based. You get the best of both slaw dressing worlds! I then had the Montreal smoked meat. It was full of the most tender smoked meat on rye bread with mustard. So good! I'm not sure how I managed to down Slicey's chopped chicken sandwich. It was so good that I did! It had slow-cooked chicken that was chopped with tomato, and red onion. It included the jalapeno slaw, along with white cheddar. It was messy to eat, but so worth it. The flavours were outstanding. This business supports other local businesses. The bread comes from a local bakery. It also features Purple Tongue hot sauces. Staff are super friendly and kind. They can craft a sandwich to your liking if you go with The Riott. There were two separate washroom stalls. I used one of them before I left this eatery. It was clean. No complaints. It's a comfortable place to hang out with friends over good food and drinks. I ended up having a Diet Coke and Crush cream soda during the two hours that we were here. They were cold and refreshing. It's street parking for three hours. It's free, which is nice. Alternatively, there is a parking lot across from this eatery. I look forward to returning for more good eats and soup. It's a gem of a sandwich place that happens to have awesome soups and slaw. (391)

Buon Giorno is a typical Italian deli, with fresh bread, a small Hot Table of take-out foods, and some deli cases with fresh meat and cheese. They also have a decent selection of Italian dry goods. It is not as sumptuous or as varied as you will find in Etobicoke or on St. Clarie Street, but it is one of the best bakeries in the Pickering/Ajax area. Sorry, one star taken off because they do not take credit cards - only cash or debit. Their pizza dough, ricotta cheese and bread are quite excellent. At least, the best that we get in Pickering/Ajax. And don't skip the Hot Table foods, if you are lookng for a take-out lunch. The veal sandwich is very nice. Well done, but really - just get a credit card machine! I would go there so much more often!

The selection of baked goods is horrendous, scones and macarons are NOT Italian!! The selection is bland and the food has zero taste. The cookies and baked goods are burnt and look inedible!! Nothing in this place is true Italian. The owner has her nose so far in the air she isn't seeing what the customers actually want. I give this place until the EOY before it is done.

I tried four different flavoured lattes. They also have soup flights! The roasted red pepper, and Gouda soup is life-changing. It's the best roasted red pepper soup I've ever had. The ham and cheese on a fresh croissant sandwich was delicious. I got the seven green salad as a side and it was very tasty. The parking lot is busy, but there are lots of spots. it's a café style ordering system where you order at the counter and you were given a number to put on your table. Service was great! It's pretty busy so it's pretty loud in there. They also have a patio! Will be back!

We decided to order the breakfast board to share. It was over half an hour before it arrived. The server came over to the table to give us free coffee or pastry to redeem for the long wait. The food arrived and as we were finally eating. I found a hair on the board and immediately told the server. She took it away and apologized. And we received another one shortly after. They were busy with a short burst of customers and there were a lot of servers around. To our surprise. We were only charged for our coffee and tea. We were ready to pay because in most of these instances the customers still have to pay for complaints of food. So I have to give a big credit to the service and the servers. I will definitely go back and try some of their other breakfast options.

If the owners are reading this: PLEASE BRING IT BACK. They also had other unique caffeinated inventions but I don't see them as often. That being said, their main stay is truly their gelato. And that has to stay. There are traditional flavours like cheesecake, but then you also got a Ceylon Ginger Biscuit all on display just being so enticing. It's practically begging for me to take it home. Which I did and loved it. They also have sandwiches which I haven't tried, but again they are unique and bring in those South Asian elements. Definitely worth trying.

If it gets too busy, you'll have to wait outside. Inside is nice and clean looking, very aesthetically pleasing. There were a lot of staff working too. I ordered a double scoop of the Maple Walnut and New York Cheesecake ($9 + tax). I really enjoyed the Maple Walnut, it was good. Had a good combination of both flavours. The New York Cheesecake was OK. It didn't really taste like the cake, but I still enjoyed whatever the taste was. The toppings that they put on top was good. It was like some crunchy crumble. Overall, I'd come back and try out the other flavours. Looking on their website, they have so many other flavours which weren't available at the time. One thing I would have liked to see was some outdoor seating or something. I had to stand outside the shop to eat my gelato.
