Totally friendly guys serving excellent food right on route 1 on the forgotten mile. Each time I've eaten here I've gotten the pork sandwich platter which comes w 2 sides. I've had the cole slaw, baked beans, greens, and the carrots and peas. Everything was great but wow those beans I'm dreaming of eating again. You can't go wrong eating here so next time you are sitting in route 1 traffic you should stop right in and grab a platter!!!

This guy can certainly deliver an excellent smoked brisket, but some of his other offerings were a…read morebit lacking. The biggest surprise is that the only BBQ sauce he has available is a supermarket brand; the pitmaster said that he was only about the meat and not sauces, but I've smoked BBQ for years and have eaten it all across the South and KC, and that's the first time I've heard a statement like that: I make my own sauces and at every BBQ joint I've eaten, the pitmaster has bragged about his/her sauces. What is worse is that the supermarket brand he had on hand was just cloyingly sweet, AND he had used that on his burnt ends. The burnt ends were a bit overdone (too burnt) for my wife, and the sickening sweet sauce made them too sweet for me. Another big disappointment was the half-rack of ribs. They were nicely smoked and tender, BUT he had not removed the membrane before cooking. As a result, the ribs were impossible to separate even with the help of my ever-present pocket knife (only plastic forks are provided and he did not cut the ribs apart). Although my wife liked the pulled pork, because it was moist, I found it bland and tasteless; the moisture coming apparently from the cooking juices being added back after pulling instead of using a (homemade/craft) BBQ sauce to the meat. The other thing we tried was the smoked turkey, which had a good smoky flavor. So: brisket - excellent; turkey - good; ribs - mixed experience, good taste but please take the time to remove the membrane before smoking next time!!!; pulled pork - so/so, not a lot of flavor; burnt ends -- the biggest disappointment of all.

Six years later we still make it a point to stop in at least once (but typically multiple times) on our annual Selbyville vacation. I was here just once this year. I met my dad and uncle (who visited way too many times to count) after fishing. The bartender had a Crush on the bar waiting for me when I arrived. I ordered Wings, and since it was happy hour, $1 Chicken tacos. Both the wings and tacos were great, especially the tacos for $1 each. The wings were your classic Buffalo Wings; well done & crispy. Chicken tacos were moist and flavorful, and were served with onions, cilantro, radish, and lime. This wasn't the first time I've had Yellowfins Wings (we get them nearly every time we come, they're that good) but it was the first time I've had their happy hour tacos. Both my mom and I recommend them and would definitely order again. Other must orders are the cheesesteaks and the tuna nachos!! One of the things we love most about Yellowfins is the small town, local vibe. There are always familiar faces at the bar every time we visit, year after year. Since it's tucked into a small shopping center a little farther inland compared to many other local bars & establishments, it would be easy to drive right past it--but don't. If you've never been, it's absolutely worth the stop. The fact that we keep coming back year after year, along with so many regulars, says everything you need to know.

We also enjoyed ten mild naked chicken wings with a side of blue cheese for $13.99. My total bill excluding gratuity was $36.97. Our order taker Liliara accurately recorded our order. Our order was available about 15 minutes after we placed our order by phone, which was very fast. Last time also took about 15 minutes from the time when we called our pizza order in. We will continue to place take out orders for pizza from here via phone, because they always answer their phone. As you can see I elevated this restaurant from 3 stars to 4 stars on my last review.

When I got inside they had a special board advertising a cheese steak , fries , and a can of soda for $9.99 I told the lady that I'd like to upgrade to a bottle of soda. I told her I'd like Mayo and Raw onions on my sub. When she did her magic on the cash register the total was nearly 15 dollars I question why a soda upgrade was $5.00. She said I could get the can also as they don't upgrade the meal from can to a bottle. She said the soda was $2.50 (I think). I asked about the other $2.50 and she said they charge for toppings. I said $2.50 for mayo and raw onions... she said yes. On to the photo. They use those really cheap French fries that they call seasoned. They take the skin grind it up and attach it to the fries. It's just isn't good and makes the fries taste like grease. On to the sub .... I mean the only way to describe it is SALTY ... I added some of the 15 packets of ketchup they gave me ... but could only get a little more than half down before the salty taste was unbearable I just can't recommend this place to anyone. Sorry but even if the cheese steak had been the best I ever had it wouldn't be enough to justify being charge $15 for a $10 special. And the French fries are cheap from the food distributor cause they suck.

We had a group of 8 who reserved a table before we headed over to the Freeman Arts Pavilion for a concert. Great selection of wines and specialty martinis---our group tried many and there were no complaints! Nice size pours and creative presentations for the martinis. Dinner options run from salads and burgers to traditional locally focused entrees and our group had a little of each---nobody went to the concert hungry! Although there was some uneven service at the bar I will chalk that up to being busy with a demanding summer crowd filling the restaurant while also serving the locals. The unevenness came with the bartenders---one seemed uninterested in serving/talking to anyone who was not a local....clearly knew everyone by name. This left the other bar tender serving just about everyone and SHE was great....felt bad for her though. Overall the place had plenty of seating at the bar and in the restaurant. Waiting line seemed to move quickly but I opted to find a seat at the aforementioned bar. Pretty wide menu as well as drink and wine list. I gave the house cab a try and it was a very good option for $7!!!! Very healthy pours! For dinner I tried a specialty white pizza and it was generally pretty good---bottom crust could have been cooked a bit longer as it was a bit undercooked. Seemed to be an issue well know by others at the bar and so it seems if you order pizza---order the crust well done! Other than that a good pizza. Seemed to be the place to be on a Friday evening before heading over to the live entertainment at the newly renovated Freeman Arts Pavilion
