Never in my life have I used Yelp but I literally installed it just to write a review of this place. I had a rifle delivered to their store and when I went in to pick it up the box was opened with a missing bolt. The previous store had footage of the bolt put into the box. When I contacted the owner and staff they couldn't have cared less about the situation and my troubles. Never going here again and the owner is a slezz ball who instead of wanting to help just called my family names. Now I'm forced to report this place to the ATF and a Arizonas attorney generals consumer complaint. read more

People new to the industry or people with no business having a gun obviously won't feel welcome there. They will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. After going to 3 other shops/stores, a beginner, with little to no knowledge of firearms, and being treated like a waste of time, I was prepared with low expectations, especially after seeing the state of this Yelp page. I browsed for a brief bit before one of the gentlemen at the counter noticed I was having trouble figuring my life out. I told about what I learned along the day's events, what I believed I was looking for, and he followed three important steps: he educated me on what I could look for, helped me narrow what I should look for, and made it clear what my options were in that category that made sense. I asked questions, and as a qualified expert and enthusiast, he answered them and beyond. Made me feel welcome, respected me and met me where I was at to introduce me into what has quickly become a new favorite hobby. After some back and forth, I chose a rifle, I had a rough idea of what extra I wanted and he had suggestions in every capacity. I took them all. Because this is what a local business represents: customer service; not because it "should," but because they love their craft and you can see the joy in their eyes when someone else in our community does too. Soooo rude at the vault. We went in with a pocket of cash of about $3k to spend on a gun and legit walked out just because of how rude they were when we were asking questions to see specific guns. Do not recommend. This place is amazing! The selection of weapons they have is darn near unmatched! They also carry a wide selection of accessories for your firearms, as well as some less than lethal response methods. I had been into a couple of stores looking for a specific stun gun flashlight without any luck so I called the Pistol Parlour to see if they had them before making the trip down from Scottsdale and was told they had several models available. The place was extremely busy, but I was able to quickly locate somebody to help me, and although I wasn't looking for an expensive pistol they took the time to go over the different stun guns they had available and check out was quick and easy. read more

FRAUD ALERT!!! If you are looking to purchase a fire arm please do not do so here. After having the store back out on a deal (to which they held a gun paid for by my husband for me to pick up because of their own internal error) resulting in us walking out of the store empty handed we have been waiting OVER A MONTH to be refunded. The customer service was terrible by both our sales rep and an older women whom I have since been told is the owner. We even ran in to a gentlemen a week or so after our incident on March 20th at another fire arm retailer who recognized us and sparked up conversation because of how poorly the staff handled the situation and the scene they caused in store. We have opened a fraud investigation with both our bank and Visa to recover our $680 Pistol Parlour has failed to process but provided us a refund receipt for. Long story short - with so many fire arm retailers in town I strongly suggest doing business with one of them and to stay away from Pistol Parlour. read more

Purchased a SightMark Laser Boresight .45caliber laser at Pistol Parlor on Dec 28. Didn't get around to using it until Jan 4. It comes with AG5 batteries. Upon installing the batteries, the device did Not work. I took it back to Pistol Parlor on Jan 4. The young sales guy determined that the new batteries were indeed dead and suggested that I get new batteries.......................... No offer to help other than that. Pretty weak customer service, in my opinion for a $40.00 device. I guess I expected more. read more

First thing to understand: PP is BUSY. Always. Frequently it's impossible to get 'em on the phone because They're always BUSY. HOWEVER, in decades of dealing with the owners and shop staff I've never-ever had reason to complain. The first associate I asked told me to go somewhere else. I walked away from them and found another associate to talk to. If you want rude staff and owners go ahead and shop here. I came in to buy two handguns and an AR, they didn't like the form of ID I presented even though it is Arizona government issued ID. I was told they cannot sell me a handgun but can sell me an AR. As I was finishing filling out the paperwork the owner comes and tells me she won't sell to me. Which is fine I get it, that's your right. I went ahead and crossed my information out, as I had already put all my personal data in there and ripped the sheet to take and toss out myself. She literally ripped it out of my hand and raises her voice and said she will shred it. That was not necessary and rude, I was going to buy magazines too which I put back and walked out. I won't spend my money anywhere where customer service is not valued. read more

I have seen reviews and comments from others regarding possible racism by the store clerks when serving customers. TRUST ME... You don't have to be Black or Mexican/Hispanic to be treated like crap in this place. I was looking at a particular handgun and the clerk helping me seemed very annoyed while helping me. I asked more than one question about the gun and he repeatedly said, "I don't know." I wanted to purchase the handgun and asked if he had one without a thumb safety. Again, he stated, "I don't know!" And just stood there looking at me. When I asked him if he could check for one without a thumb safety you would have thought I was in a restaurant sending my dinner back for the third time! Somewhat unpleasant to say the least... no smile, and probably worst of all, he couldn't even cough up a "thank you" for the purchase. I do believe the prices are competitive; however, DO NOT expect any support after you have made your purchase. The sights on my gun were off and I could not fill either magazine to capacity. I went back to the store with the firearm and magazines and another clerk just shrugged his shoulders and told me I needed to go see a gunsmith! LOL. This was becoming comical at this point. Bottom line, if you know exactly which gun you want definitely check the prices at pistol parlor as they have been competitive... Definitely would not buy anything here again. They do not stand behind the products they sell. I purchased a Leupold Delta point pro about a week ago. I finally got to shoot and it and it broke in less than 100 rounds. The shop won't exchange it or help at all. Told to go through Leopold. Any of the other shops I go to would have exchanged for me in such a short period of time. I will never shop here again. I came here with my dad to look at hand guns prior to reading their several reviews. I was surprised by the several negative reviews considering that I had a great experience. Prior to coming to this shop I had been to Sportsman's Warehouse and done a bunch of online reading to narrow down what I was looking for. I told them what I was thinking and asked them to show me some other hand guns that I should also consider. I went in with a TON of questions and they made sure to take time to answer me and show me several different guns. I also couldn't resist handling a few of their AR collection. I was impressed by their selection right when I walked through the door to say the least. I decided to stick with the revolver that I had planned on and they were happy to order it for me. Can't wait to go to the store again to pick it up and browse through what new stuff they may have behind the counter. Visited this establishment a couple of times over the past year to get a feel for the place. They have a decent product selection on the shelves for people to look at. Their firearms pricing ranges from average-to-overpriced depending on the firearm. The customer service is subpar at best. I had maybe two fair shopping experiences there-both by younger staff. My last visit was most uncomfortable, indeed. It involved striking up a conversation with one of the older employee's which soon regressed into his discontent over African-American's in general, unfortunately. This is an awesome gun shop!.. The staff is so friendly and enthusiastic to help out their customers. No Ego's here!. They have a awesome selection of handguns. They run the background check prior to purchase unlike other places you pay for it first then they run it and sometimes other place will charge you are a restocking fee. Stay away from Sportsman's in Gilbert, AZ they are rude as hell and they have a long 3 hour line, and you better know what you are looking for or else they will walk away from you and leaving you standing there while they help other customers that just walk up outside the long line. read more

Took my "new" S&W 22 rifle out to the range only to discover the firing pin was froze up. I wasted more time by going back to the Pistol Parlour to figure out the deal on my supposed brand new rifle. Misleading statements.... followed by a couple outright lies. I then found a reputable gunshop in business for over 50 years. They inspected my rifle and said, "This rifle has been fired.....ALOT" The manager at the Pistol Parlour tried to tell me the frozen, caked with dirt firing pin came from the factory that way. The finish was even rubbed off underneath where it had rested while being fired. Hard to notice unless you suspect that you were sold a used firearm being sold as brand new and get a thorough inspection. read more
