Daniel went above and beyond, but when it came time to install the pool he ghosted me. He kept pushing back the start date and said permitting was taking longer than he thought and I was very understanding. When I finally asked for the permit number he stopped texting me back. Now I wonder if he ever even filed a permit. This was very disappointing and it cost me a ton of time and energy. I signed a contract and was ready to go, but when it came time to perform Daniel was nowhere to be found. Edit: After reading Daniel's reply I would like to clarify, I did return the signed contract and offered him a 2k deposit. I understand you can't stick to an exact timeline, but ghosting people after all that work isn't cool.

The nightmare never ends. Our permit came through on April 7th and per our contract the pool was…read moresupposed to be done in two - three weeks. At one point we tried to get out of our contract because the construction failed inspection/Daniel neglected to call for another inspection/we couldn't get ahold of him. We had a series of sit-down meetings, "Daniel, we need you to make this pool a priority." Daniel would assure us he would and then would disappear. In the beginning he would say that he couldn't contact us because his phone was "bad," or he had no service at a job. He would tell us he was on the way to our house at 11:30 AM and never show ("I got a flat tire at the dump [twice]", "I had to wait to pick up a laborer," and on and on). He only worked on our pool about 6 - 8 hours per week if we were lucky. My day started with a text, "Daniel, what is the plan for the day?" I had to project manage everything, but each deadline he assured us he would meet would pass with no progress. The real issue is the shotcrete (concrete) that was done on our pool. The second batch was too wet and they added accelerant. We knew that the shotcrete looked bad, but we've had an engineer out and the recommendation is that the entire pool be demo'd. The shotcrete is cracking, you can see areas of dirt that were not covered and it easily chips off with a hammer. Demo will cost $15K and then we would have to pay for a new pool. We asked Daniel to leave the job last Tuesday. We are stuck with a big concrete hole in the ground with no recourse. I cannot urge you enough to find another pool builder.

Ongoing investigation with Palm Springs PD. Highly suspect. Rodolfo was always trying to upsell us as well. I did not fall for his $3,500 "salt water" upsell as it was not necessary. Some people below who have also left reviews, however, were not so lucky. There was always a large bill that was on top of the monthly bill, which at one point for a simple 1960s pool was over $400! I had MULTIPLE BAD complaints from people that stayed with me. The final straw was that Rodolfo left nasty mildew and residue from a previous person in the hot tub and took off to go out of the country. He was totally unreachable for over a week. If you have any type of a property that needs to have somebody on top of it, our experiences says LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. My pool tiles were turning green thanks to my old pool service (the pool is brand new, within 2 months it turned green) the excuse given was always due to "sunscreen". However, Blue Reef came in to the rescue. Turns out the chlorine was low as well as other factors. Within the first pool service with my pool has never looked this clean and clear. My tiles are back to being white!

In the spring of 2023, the owner, George, hired a manager, Robert, and out-sourced his bookkeeping to Elysium Accounting, located in AZ. Since then phone calls, texts and emails are not returned or even acknowledged. Refunds for over payment are not provided (they owe me money as a result of an over-payment caused by an incorrect invoice). What makes the situation even more frustrating is that over a month ago I reached out to them, and have continued to over the last 3 weeks, without any response to my communication voicemails, texts and emails. There are highly professional companies serving Palm Desert that I can recommend BUT this is not one of them!
