Best Audi/VW service around. Very fair pricing, and they will repair, if possible, rather than replacing parts. It's not a stealer so don't expect a fancy German-designed showroom; it's a repair garage! Lots of cars in the lot to repair because it's dependable and there's no "1000-point" checklist to encourage you to spend more money unnecessarily. I've been taking my cars here since 2009 and never have been disappointed or surprised and never had to take it back in after a service visit - never!. Understand this: there exists a dearth of qualified Audi (and other high-end makes) mechanics so it may not be an in-and-out type of situation. Repairs take time. However, they'll do oil changes without appointments if you bring your car in around 8:00am. I have never asked for an estimate knowing that the repair is necessary and the bill will be significantly lower than at the Audi stealer. They keep my '01 and '07 A4s running like well-maintained clocks, each with nearly 200K miles on them. There is no better Audi/VW shop around. Trust and quality work matter. read more

My slob of a son asked around to find a good mechanic... we had hoped we had fiund one The car sat weighting for him to return from vacation two weeks but we had read great things.my son has his car towed to the garage and called to verify it got there safe and sound.2 day later he called to see how the work was going he was told they were on it after a week he called agian a got another veg responce another week passed by and I told my son we needed to go see that the car was getting done. Did I mention my son is a slob ... yes well after almost a mount of weighting to bask in the light of this find mechanic I was told he didn't want to work on it because the interior of the car had garbage in it of the snack verity now I guess after a mouth I llbe at the hands of the dealership. I asked if we could clean the car but he is a very self important man and I assume he just to good for us. read more

I'm not sure what to make of this place. It was recommended by a coworker of mine who had her car serviced by them a few times. I went in for an oil change and to check on my emissions light. The synthetic oil change cost me roughly 89$!!! I get a synthetic oil change in NY for $60 with tax included.... Then the same guy who performed the oil change told me i needed to get new tires soon because mine were very old (which was true). He filled my tires for me. When i was driving on the highway, i noticed my steering to be uneven, so i waited until the following morning to check the pressure (for a more accurate cold reading). When i used my handy dandy pressure gauge, it measured at over 45 psi when the recommended value is at 36. That much air seemed a bit excessive. So this place may be knowledgeable about audis and vws, but i'll be very skeptical of what they recommend and do the next time i take my car in. Very skeptical. read more

I took my 1999 VW to this shop, because it failed emissions and the check engine light had to be replaced, which he did. After not hearing anything for three days, I called to find out the status of the repair. I was told that it would be completed in the next day or two. I again called two days later. I was told it was ready. I paid and picked the car up, only to have the check engine light come on 3 blocks away. Took the car back and was told to leave it. The next day I called, and again, was told it was fixed. This time, I was told to drive an approximate 10 - 15 mile course which he dictated to me, just to make sure. The check engine light came on again, less than half way through the course. I brought the car back again. For the third time the following day, I was told it again fixed. Repeat of the previous two days. Knowing something about cars, I asked if he had checked the mass air flow sensor. He said that he had removed and cleaned it. I agreed that he should then replace the MAFS, especially if he had cleaned it, but was still getting the error code. He said the part was going to be around $350+. I informed him again, as I had when I first brought the car in, that I was only fixing it so that I could sell it, so I did not want to spend that much when I knew a cheaper sensor could be purchased for much less. The owner started screaming a swearing at me, telling me that he wasn't going to work for nothing and that he had already spent many hours working on the car. He then told me to get out and to fix the car myself. On the way home, I stopped and bought a can of mass air flow sensor cleaner for a few dollars. I went home, popped the hood, and could see immediately that no one had touched the air sensor because the thin film of oil that covered it, did not have a single finger print on it. Once I started removing the bolts, it further confirmed that he had not touched it. The bolts obviously had never been removed in years, if at all. I had to soak them to get them off without breaking the housing. Once off, I cleaned the sensor, reinstalled it, and the check engine light immediately went out. I went through inspection without a problem. Unless you don't mind being ripped off, my advice is to THINK TWICE BEFORE CONSIDERING USING PINTER AUTOHAZ (Previously known as the AUDI Shop) read more

I took a flier on this place because my mechanic didn't know much about VW systems. It turned out we had many mutual acquaintances and those people I later learned had been going to him for years. Anyways, my 7 year old Passat had a number of things wrong with it. Tire light on, engine light on, two tires that were leaking, a mystery leak that left water on the driver side rug, leaking coolant. This has pretty much been the biggest lemon I've ever owned. All the problems were diagnosed and fixed within 48 hours along with 4 new tires. I was fully prepared to be hit with a $1,300-$1,400 bill. And the final tally was....$810. They couldn't have been nicer, Mike the owner knows the Audi/VW family of cars inside and out. I've since asked my friends about their experiences at the Audi Shop and they've all had the similar, very experiences. I found my new mechanic. read more

There is not a better place to take your VW or Audi. I've been going to the Audi Shop for eight years. Their prices are so fair, it's hard to believe. The work is as close to perfect as you'll get. The owner was a lead service tech for Audi for years and has also worked for Porsche and Mercedes. If he says it, believe it. Honesty level is beyond perfect -- I had been to the Audi dealer and they said I would need new brakes soon. I waited a month, called the Audi Shop and had them order brakes for my car, which they did. 20 minutes into my visit the Audi Shop owner and his tech found me in the waiting room and said, "What made you think you needed new brakes?" They showed me the 60+% I had left on the fronts, 80% on rears. Brakes are the most profitable job a mechanic can do. They turned down the job and told me to come back in 9 to 12 months. I do not write bad reviews EXCEPT in extreme cases of customer service neglect. Our saga is too long to post in a review. In summary, this mechanic had our car for over 30 days. He started work on the car BEFORE getting permission and not once did he proactively call to communicate updates. We paid $3,388 (due to a timing chain tensioner issue and bent valves) after 30 days of having car towed to shop. Less than 3 hours after paying $3,388, the car engine completely failed while driving home. We went straight back to their shop and informed mechanic we had to abandon our car. Mechanic had us call their towing company and informed towing company and us that Pinter would absorb the towing cost. This promise was then revoked and we had to pay saying it wasn't their fault as the alternator failed. This mechanic lacked the ability to proactively communicate costs and manage expectations.... even after we informed the owner to CALL first BEFORE starting work. This mechanic failed to see the duress we were under through the customer's eyes.... that when you DO NOT HAVE your vehicle, it is extremely stressful trying to manage logistics and finances.  Not once was there a phone call from the owner or shop. We had to call EACH WEEK for an update..... even after his mechanics told us that he was being left messages of our concerns and frustration.  Not once was there an attempt of concern or gracious customer service to feel like you are being heard or cared for.  We finally got our car back 36 days later.
