I used classic auto body to have a scratch repaired on my car. My insurance was covering it and they had good reviews. It took over a month and when I got the car back it was painted the wrong color. I took it back and they apologized and said they would fix. It took another 2 weeks and I found out they had the insurance company pay for the second rental car. The other issue I had with them is they literally would never call me back even when they explicitly said they would. The paint job was done well once they used the right color but it was not worth the $5000 they charged my insurance company. read more

Steve and his team are far beyond amazing! I had my Honda Pilot repaired by them, the damage was substantial which requires a significant and long repair. Given I need to relocate to the west coast, they worked tirelessly to get the job done on time. Steve is also easy to work with and always available to answer questions. I can't rave about the people who work here enough. They're friendly, communicative, honest, trustworthy, and go out of their way to make sure insurance companies are doing what they are supposed to do when handling your vehicle after an accident. I honestly think I would have lost my mind after the car accident if it wasn't for Rick's support and having my back as his costumer, which really wasn't even part of his job. First of all, these guys are honest. Brutally honest sometimes, but they are straight to business. If there is an issue, they state it. If there could be more, they say it. If they say it isn't an issue, they mean it and they know it. They were compassionate for my situation and timing (I had a previously planned vacation only two days after hearing my claim was denied) and worked with me. Horrible experience.....My car had close to $9000 worth of damage. When completed the car looked great from 20 feet. Upon closer inspection, the paintwork was barely passable. Steve the owner said you can expect that from "production work". I needed to take the car back close to 10 times for rattles, shortcuts, fog lights falling off, sunroof getting stuck open, moulding coming off, paint defects, etc. The owner had a long line of excuses. If you want your car done right, seek out a different shop. I've been dealing with this nightmare for months and may car still rattles and stop lights. I don't usually write reviews, but this was such a pain in the a** that I thought I'd save someone the nightmare I dealt with. read more

Like many of the other reviews said, these guys are incredibly honest. I have dealth with many body shops, mechanics, etc. and while many of them are good, they don't compare (in my opinion) to the folks at Classic Auto Body. I first went to Classic Auto Body several years ago when the driver's side mirror on my car was hit. I took my car to the dealer to get a quote and then gave the quote to the person who hit me (to keep it off of insurance). The guy politely asked if I would take it to Classic Auto for a quote because he said they are the best and the prices would be lower than a dealer body shop. He was right. I ended up taking the car to Classic to have it fixed and it was done ahead of schedule at the quoted price. Great experience. A few years later I brought my car in to get some bumps and dents fixed before I sold it. The folks at Classic told me what needed to be fixed but ultimately told me that given the minimal amount of bumps and dents, that I shouldn't bother with fixing them. Very rare for someone to tell you to not get work done. I realize it is hard to trust reviews, but believe me, Classic Auto is top notch. I have referred several people to them over the years and all of them walked away happy customers. read more

I had a great experience with Classic Auto Body. I was referred to them by the guys at J&J Motors up the street in Bryn Mawr and initially made an appointment to stop by and receive a quote for replacing my rear bumper which someone had backed into. It only took a few minutes for Steve to check out the damage and he sent me a quote the same day. The price was extremely fair, the repair looks great, and dealing with Classic Auto Body was very pleasant. It was a really nice touch that they vacuumed the car before returning it to me! You sould have provision to give Zero star! went ther as theArdmore Toyota dealership recomended! I showed Mr. Ken the damaged car, gave the claim numbers from the insurance company. He said he would send his estimate to the insurance co. and let me know when to bring the car in.6/7 weeks ago! called him last week to know when to bring the car for repairs, he said he heard from the insurance company on one claim and would email to me once he gets approval for both estimates.Waited for his email, when called today he said he emailed me yesterday, and will shoot another email and call me to see if I recieved it. waited for one and a half hours and called back. then he says he received the initial estimate from the insurance co., as he did not send HIS estimate(or supplement) to the insurance company! And he won't do that unless he has the car in for the repair work. whereas I was ready to leave the car there, the day I went the first time ! I asked him if he needed to take the pictures he said 'no'. wrote something on his pad and said would let me know when he hears from the insurance! Called the insurance company,got to hear from them, they did not receive any correspodence from Ken or classic auto body! If he did not like my face my color,my car,the car color, he should have said that the first day! read more

I've been bringing my cars here for 25 years. (It's actually kind of disconcerting how many times I've needed collision work down through the years.) If you live near the main line it's really the only place to bring your car. They do as much of the legwork with the insurance companies as possible, they're honest and do high quality work. I am not sure whether I am a tiebreaker on the posts, but 2 days after receiving my car (2012 BMW 535 xi) back after a $31000 driver side T bone repair, I am unbelievably impressed with the results. I was really planning to dispose of the car after its return, but now I have changed my plans, at least for now. It is mechanically back to baseline, there are NO unusual rattles, the paint looks great and I really cannot detect anything amiss. However, I am suspending final judgement for at least a few weeks and few hundred miles. read more

Classic Auto Body did a phenomenal job repairing my car, which I picked up yesterday afternoon. Everything from the point where I dropped it off the day after the accident until I picked it up was handled expertly and with patience, given the twists and turns with the insurance companies. They handled everything that was needed with the insurance company and were proactive about letting me know what was happening each step of the way.They even offered to arrange for a rental car and I was able to drop the rental off when I picked up my car. The car was clean inside and out when I picked it up, and it looked so good when I pulled up I though it was someone else's car! Beyond the repairs, the entire car had been detailed. My car was hit by a blue car while parked at the Giant supermarket in Havertown last Friday. There were no witnesses and despite the dozens of video cameras strategically placed all over Giant's parking lot, the manager (Wayne) didn't seem to want to help even though he said he would look at the surveillance footage. I never heard back from him. Basically, I was stuck with paying the deductible through my insurance. I decided to take my car to Classic Auto Body (Haverford, PA on Lancaster Ave.) for an estimate since it is only 5 min from my work. Steve took a bunch of pictures of the damaged area and then explained my options. He said the damaged area can be fixed by removing the bumper, clean it, prime it, need time to dry, paint it, etc. which will cost more than my deductible, and I would be without a car for 3 days, or I could just go to the dealer and spend $20 on a bottle of touchup paint and do it myself. He even showed me a sample of what a "touchup" job would look like vs. a professional paint job. Obviously, the professional paint job would look like new while a DIY job will have paint streaks. Even though my car is only 1 year old, it would not be worthwhile to file a claim for something this minor. Being a mom who has to do a lot of chauffeuring, I can live with a few minor streaks but I don't think I can live without a car for 3 days or want to pay extra for a rental. I really appreciate Steve's honesty and professional opinion. He could have easily not mention the DIY option and just do the work and have my insurance company pay for the cost minus my deductible. He even offered for me to bring my car back on a dry day, he has a solvent to get the blue paint off my bumper before I put the touchup paint on (free of charge). Even Sheila, the receptionist, was friendly and welcoming when I stepped foot into the office. So, if you need an auto body shop and are not sure where to go, give these guys a call. read more

These guys are great. They are always busy, which is a good sign, and perpetually has a yard full of smashed bmw's, lexus', range rovers, mercedes' etc., the negative of the main line mommy syndrome (yes, they're hot; no, they can't drive). A very sweet elderly lady backed into my parked car. The damage wasn't too bad, but needed to be fixed, and since her insurance was covering it, I wasn't gonna complain. It was in the shop for about two days, and I had an enterprise lady (organized by Classic Auto Body) meet me at the shop with the rental car. The work came out looking as good as new. read more

The official charge for this is 426.27 ( I still have that estimate sheet)just for heating up the dent... And if it's not good there will be another 1000 bucks extra... And I arrived at your place around 4:50 pm and you didn't explain the information to me for 20 minutes cuz you guys gotta hurry up and close the store at 4:55pm...
