Two of the "big name" repair shops in Delaware happily charged me for their diagnostics... and somehow managed to fix absolutely nothing. This guy (sorry I forgot his name) took my car for a 5-minute drive, came back, knew exactly what was wrong, ordered the part, and had it fixed within a couple of hours (most of that time was just waiting for the part to arrive). Problem solved. No fancy waiting room. No free coffee. No snacks. Just something much rarer these days --- a mechanic who actually knows what he's doing, charges a (very) fair price, and treats people with honesty and respect.
