We entered and told the hostesses, who from the very beginning were not very friendly, we had reservation. . We've come before and this is the second instance where I find the hostesses to be seriously lacking in hospitality. We were taken to our table quickly. When we got there we were given a table in the middle. We had two small children with us so I asked if there was anyway we could get a booth since there was one right in front of us. Hostess said no that was reserved for party of 6 and the other large section of booths that were all empty was reserved for a large party. I said okay. As she left another party in a booth left so I asked our server maya if we could get that table she said she thought that would be fine but would check with hostess. Came back and said it was reserved for large party. Okay fair enough. Time passes no one sits in either spot. Meanwhile Im wrestling with my toddler to stay in his high chair. Then a couple of two comes and they try and sit them at a table next to us in the middle they ask for the booth and another hostess says sure and seats them there. At this point I'm annoyed. Raul, the manager in training comes around asking if everything is fine and I explain how I'm a little annoyed because I had asked for two different booths and one is still empty and the other a couple of two was sat when I was told it was reserved for table of 6. He and our waitress were both very nice. He was very apologetic and very nice gave my kids some small toys which made their night and also offered to comp our dessert. Because of him and our waitress who I believe was named maya we might still come back. The hostesses however need more training on how to be more welcoming and accommodating because that is literally their job, especially since I would say a large portion of their clientele are families. We typically get excellent service here from the staff, but today wasn't up to par. TL;DR: went towards the chicken and waffles area and the guy that was behind the station was making really fun and delicious variations of waffles for other customers. I thought I would give it a try and request for something simple. When it was my turn, I told him I wanted a strawberry waffle and he pointed to the strawberries, like he was telling me to make it on my own. I was confused and just told him to give me a waffle so I can make my own. And he said "oh, sorry". Not sure if there was a language barrier, but I think the staff manning the stations pick and choose who they are courteous to. Great spot for brunch! The omelet station was excellent, and the meat carving station did not disappoint either. The buffet selection overall was satisfying, and the bottomless soda was definitely a nice bonus. I only wished there was soft serve ice-cream. I would've given Pinstripes a full 5 stars, but as an Army veteran, I always judge a breakfast place by its biscuits and gravy. The biscuit itself was decent, but the gravy had far too much black pepper--it irritated the back of my throat and left a lingering aftertaste that was pretty overwhelming. I'm not from SM so I feel like this is a local favorite with all the hype in the world, and I'm not here for it. I absolutely would not recommend this place at all. The cost of food is high, the service is lacking at most, and the food is never . It's always a miss for me, especially with cost and service on top of that. It is quite crowded and always busy though. I love their happy hour! I was in the restaurant around 5:40PM and I was able to get a table right away. My friend and I preferred to be seated outside, it was perfect! I started off with their Paloma . Then had lobster Mac and cheese - the best! Shout out to Maya! She's been very attentive. They have a lot of great juice options for the mimosas, and I personally enjoyed the grapefruit one over the pineapple or orange. Cute spot for parties, they have a reserved area upstairs you can book. They also have bowling so make sure to make a reservation beforehand cause it can get pretty busy. I made reservations, but ended up sitting at the bar since an NFL game was playing. We ordered truffle fries, sliders, and calamari. I had one of their Hazy IPAs and it was good. Truffle fries were the best out of the bunch. Sliders had too much bread, but the meat was good. Definitely avoid the calamari, too much breading. Staff was friendly. Park in the garage next door. Our server, Yessie was amazing. She provided excellent service to our party of 20+ people for over 5 hours! She was friendly and very accommodating whether it was bringing someone a glass of wine or a glass of ice water. The food was good. Had a holiday party here. Place is big and decorated so beautifully for the holiday season. There are two levels. The lower level seems to be for dining only. Upstairs they have bocci ball and bowling. There is also a bar and a large room meant to host large parties. The food was okay. Nothing too exciting except for the chicken wings. The chicken wings had a delicious honey bbq glaze. There was also Mac and cheese, salad, sliders, and tiny fried cheese balls. Today I went to Pinstripes for lunch to go again, the last time was about 3 months ago. We got the crispy chicken sandwich and the prime rib dip. The prime rib dip looked so different than before I called pinstripes to be sure it was the right sandwich. They told me they had changed the sandwich- put in a longer roll and added a sauce. First the good- i liked the new roll much better than the old roll, everything else was bad. In fact it was so bad I called Pinstripes to complain and see if I could return the sandwich, but I was put on hold and no one ever picked up. I held for over 10 minutes and finally gave up. The sandwich was barely edible. Besides the good roll and the OK meat, the sauce totally destroyed the sandwich. The sauce looked like thousand island, but it tasted like it had a little horseradish in it. A french dip does not go with thousands island dressing and it was awful. I would have returned the sandwich but Pinstripes never picked up the phone so it was a waste of money for me. My kid had the spicy chicken and said it was ok, but not very spicy and was a mess to eat. The prime rib dip used to come with a side of horseradish cream but no more- just that horrible thousand island like sauce. I want my money back- it was that bad. read more

Unfortunately the Sunday Brunch today was a complete disappointment. We came here in July and had an AMAZING brunch. We thought it would be a great thing to do today with our granddaughter. She's 10 years old and her brunch was free - thank God. There was no salad bar this time only a Caesar Salad or Caprese salad choice. In July there was a Chilaquiles station - I was looking forward to that but it was not offered. The chicken and waffles was just some dried out chicken tenders with small waffles. The brussels sprouts were tasty, but the other vegetables available were kind of boring. They had the usual breakfast offering, but nothing special. I've been here many times for happy hour, dinner and brunch with a satisfactory experience. My review is for the bowling party package they offer. I threw a simple birthday party for my son. 13 kids 4 adults. I didn't require anything extra from the staff, we had no decorations either. All in all we were a very easy going and laid back group. Our food orders didn't come out on time and some not at all. The drinks they made for our guests had to be remade because the first batch had a horrible smell. Parents and kids both were waiting for their food for an unacceptable amount of time. Some orders from the PREORDERED package never even came out! The party platter came on time (just pizza) except they missed the fries, salad and brownies. The presentation was severely underwhelming. Even if it was just pizza they could have done more than just slap it on the warming plate. When I told them the warming plate wasn't working the waitress blamed our party! I was chasing down staff the entire time asking where things were. It was not a busy day at all and we were only one of two parties upstairs in the bowling area. When I mentioned my disappointment to the manager she was nice and apologetic. She agreed to take the items that never came out as contracted off the bill. When we left, we found out it was still charged!! It was an insignificant amount but I was appalled by the mishandling of just everything that day. I contacted the Sr Events Sales manager as well as the Director of sales who responded two whole weeks later after my 3 follow up emails. Their response? Underwhelming as well. Just a textbook copy paste saying oops sorry. I think the managements response just took this experience over the top. The staff were nice enough the day of and I'm sure they tried their best. I didn't raise a stink then and still left gratuity for their efforts - as lacking as it was for my standards. However, when the horrible experience was escalated to Mariel and Alyson, I was shocked at how little effort was made to rectify the situation. It almost came off snarky and lacked total empathy. This is why I'm leaving a review. They could have turned an ugly situation into a better one. Instead they lit it on fire. This was my son's birthday and I can safely say it was the worst party we've ever hosted. They ruined my son's special event! Think twice before hosting your special event here. My company Oracle held a party here on Wednesday. Pizzas, bruschetta, appetizers, drinks and desserts. The food was great the room bright and service was good. I ordered a tap beer at arrival but the waiter never brought it. I had to chase down another waiter 15 min later who quickly brought my beer. It was super loud so much I could barely hear the person sitting next to me. Then we went downstairs to the bowling alley and that was when the real fun began! I've been here several times and it's one of my favorites places to bring people when we don't really have a specific food we're craving. So spoiler, this review is only for the restaurant and not bowling or bocce. Service is always great - servers are attentive and so so nice! Ambiance is family friendly, with a pretty chill bar on one side. I brought my family who was visiting from out of town and they really enjoyed their time here. Their menu isn't overwhelmingly large (which I personally like), but there's something for everyone. On top of that, their food is delicious! I've had some of their pastas, pizzas, and sandwiches but have yet to try their soups, salads and any of the Chef's Entrees. My favorite dish would have to be the Grilled Chicken Club - it's a classic! OH and if you're in the mood for dessert definitely order Warm Brownie and Vanilla Gelato. It's honestly one of the best brownie & ice cream combos I've ever had. Side note - if it's someone's birthday they give out a cute little Pinstripes medal + the Brownie and Gelato dessert! I can't remember if the dessert is actually complimentary, but it's 100% worth the price regardless! I won a raffle at my kid's school and visited Pinstripes for the first time with my family. I've gone before years ago for a work. The whole reason for the revisit is because of the raffle win. Upon arriving I show the hostess the certificate I received and I ask her if I could use it and she's proceeds to reassure me that I can and she shows us to our table. We're seated and our waiter comes over and tells us about their promotions. Apparently kids eat free on Wednesdays and because it's Thanksgiving Eve it's half of cocktails. Great! We're thinking we came on the right day! So we get our food. One of my kids orders a pizza, another kid and myself orders a burger, and my husband gets a chicken club sandwich. All our food is good except for the chicken club sandwich which is extremely dry. We eat all our food and receive the check and the manager walks over just to tell us that we can't use the certificate because of the promotions. It felt like a bait and switch situation since the hostess said we could and seated us and the waiter of course offered us the promotions that was given to all customers that night. Had the hostess check with the manager BEFORE she seated us probably would have affected our decisions of what we ordered. Decided to come back because of the February BOGO promo and primarily because we had giftcards to blow at Pinstripes. Word of caution: 2 hours of bowling for a party of 2 is a bit much. We were able to fit in 8 games, but I had to alternate between my dominant and non-dominant hand to survive all 8 rounds. I obviously am not a pro-bowler. My second experience was much better than the former and that can be attributed to the service. We were well-attended to this time around. I believe OJ was the one helping us, and he was amazing at his job. I kid you not, give him a raise already! I mentioned a birthday in the reservation, but did not tell him. Not only did he bring a complimentary gelato/brownie combo for us, but also provided a hat and medal without being prompted. Sunday Easter Brunch did not disappoint. We made reservations over a month ago. Thank god we did. It was packed. The Easter Bunny was present and making their rounds greeting and taking photos with all the guest. We ordered a chilled bottle of Mumm's Champagne and Baller Bloody Mary. Not able to give 0 stars We all had to send our drinks back. Not the main issue , it gets much worse Ordered our food. Waitress later brings out 2 dinners. A while later I asked how long for the other 2 meals. She said did you order something? I repeated the order she said she would check. She never put in the order, the manager came over and said the order was not placed the other 2 people had finished their meal by that time. You have been warned. The Manager replied and said she comped the check. Had separate checks so the 2 people who had 2 meals and 2 drinks were comped. Meanwhile my order was for one drink , thanks for comping me for one drink which was not even mine. The manager could have offered a complimentary meal in the future. As it stands . I highly recommend avoiding this place in the future. I know I will avoid it In her reply she said she comped the meal for the other couple , and for me I did not have to pay for a meal ordered but never received. Thanks for not charging me the water.
