Always a pleasant experience every time we eat here, for the most part it's always in a Sunday during brunch. They serve such a variety of foods and grilled choices, ribs, chicken breast, hamburgers and grilled corn. You will absolutely love the omelette station along with the waffle station. Our kids enjoy the chocolate fundo machine and the pineapple coconut miniature cheesecake is to die for ‍. This is our third father's day in a row patronizing this restaurant. Oh important note make reservations you do not want the outside patio to be your only option especially in chicago 96 degree weather. Although it's nice on a cool day even if it's a bit chilly because they have a huge bomb fire pit. read more

If you're looking for a really expensive way to have a really lame night, this place will check all your boxes. Food was okay, service was brutal, and the atmosphere was DEAD on a Friday night. No one there, they stuck our group in the basement, no music, no servers, no people. Can't see us ever going back. read more

On a business trip and doing some exploring one night....don't tell anyone we were actually kind of lost....we stumbled across this gem! Walking through the doors into this place it immediately impresses. Has a really upscale feel. The staff that greets you is very friendly and has to find out what you are there for. Really nice restaurant...bar...and bowling! We opted for a lane for an hour and we pleasantly surprised that it was only $35 (included shoes). Our hostess led us back to our lane and we were in a state of momentary shock! The lane had a couple lounge chairs and a couch. A minute or so later a waitress was at our lane dropping off menu's for food and drink (kind of disappointed we had already eaten). The lanes were exceptionally nice and even though we didn't have our own bowling balls (yes...I'm a bowling nerd from time to time) we had a blast! Approximately 12 lanes total so I would anticipate that there could be a pretty good wait on the weekend to get a lane. Restaurant was really quite large and during the week wasn't busy at all. Would like to come back and try the food sometime. Great way to spend a couple hours! Would definitely return and bowl a couple games if I'm in the area again. Recommended! read more

We happened to be here on Super Bowl Sunday so our admission was only $1 per hour and $5 for renting shows. Normal hour price is $10. The place is super clean, we had our own private lane. Nice leather couches for seating, waiters came by with menus. I had a delicious free gelato by checking in on the yelp app. Only one bathroom nearby which was weird. Also there are bumpers which come down for the less experienced bowler. read more

In my opinion, one of the best spots in Chicago. We actually have never bowled here (although we'd like to, just haven't gotten around to it) but I had my birthday brunch here and we've stopped at the bar for drinks. The food is phenomenal and well priced, bottomless mimosas are very strong and well worth the price!! Our servers have always been very attentive and kind, both at tables and at the bar. We'll continue to frequent this spot on our trips to Chicago. Thank you!!! read more

i had our son's 8th birthday (bowling) party there, Kaitlyn was very helpful in the setting up process. On the day of the party, the manager Jeremy was there to help us with the food and everything else, very professional and friendly. The adults loved the food (esp the tenderloin sandwiches and the prosciutto pizza) and kids had a blast. Thank you! read more

We came for the bocce but would come back for the food! Such a surprise but they had a good wine list and used quality ingredients to make tasty dishes. Ask your waiter or waitress for recommendations but we enjoyed all the dishes and left some for next time. Cheers! read more

Ordered catering from here and worked with Bianca. She was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The food was terrific and they included lots of serving ware from spatulas to tongs which was appreciated . Guests loved everything from the ceasar salad (VERY garlicy Cesar Dressing!! Not complaining, just take note.) to flatbreads and sliders. Will definitely order from here again. read more

I hate to give this review been to pinstripes 5x all good but yesterday Father's Day service was horrible. The server that waited on my table was so hard to track down we had to go and find her. The person making egg omelets was so nasty towards us. After brunch went to the bar for shots bartender was non attentive we asked for some limes she got the lime with her hand no napkins and placed in our hand. I didn't appreciate her touching the limes with her hands.(who does that?We spent over $300 and service sucked yesterday. I will be back love the food and ambiance but service was subpar. read more

Nice local place with plenty of seating options in the dining room and patio. Service can get backed up during high periods but overall friendly. Good specials including classics like spaghetti and meatballs. Also a decent place to grab a drink before or after visiting navy pier read more

Great food and location! Ate outside and had a lovely time and great service. While we didn't play any of the games, I would definitely recommend doing that because it looked like so much food. I was there for lunch and had an amazing salad. I had the pear salad and added in grilled salmon. It was exactly what I wanted and the salon had great flavor. It matched nicely with the Gorgonzola and the balsamic! Would definitely recommend read more

You get a good bargain for the brunch. I went for my birthday. I left my gift card there i received for my birthday on the table. I know one of the servers took it. The disappointing part is they automatically charge a 20 percent gratuity on your bill. So if you go with a large party you can imagine what that tip looks like. So to steal my 25 dollar target gift card if really sad. read more

Great bowling and patio dining. The food is good, not outstanding, but you can't be all things to all people, right? Menu is generally Italian. This location is on the river walk and has an expansive patio. They also had bocce courts (lanes?) inside and outside. We enjoyed bowling with two lanes and cushy seating per secluded area. A hostess came around for food and drink orders. We didn't realize we could have eaten here till we'd already had lunch in the indoor dining area. The rental shoes were clean and new, and they saved me with clean, new socks because I was in sandals and made a spur-of-the-moment decision to bowl. read more

Last week we decided to give it a try. Average choice of food and stations for $35/person brunch. Carving station was good, so was waffle station. One free mimosa per person and a nice bloody Mary bar. Nothing crazy- average bottomless brunch. Worth for trying for 1 time. read more

Everything I had was really good. Not the best I've ever had but still delicious. I needed to carbo load before the Chicago Marathon so I had the Chicken and Goat Cheese Pasta. It was gigantic and filling and olive goat cheese, but I felt like this was just missing a little something. Maybe a seasoning. The chicken was plain. Either way I still ate the whole thing and enjoyed it. Give it a try and see it you feel the same way. That's the thing about tastes, everybody's different. Best thing I had though was the lobster bisque soup. Holy cow that was incredible. That one is available on Fridays and Saturdays so treat yourself to a whole bowl of that. Best thing about this place was that it's right one the water so Water Pokemon are all over the place. Staryu kept trying to get in on my dinner. My server Corey was an awesome guy too. Very friendly and attentive. The whole staff was. Anyone who saw an empty plate would pick it up. Definitely will try this place again. And this was just for dinner. I didn't even get to try their boche ball courts or bowling alley read more

Delicious American fare in a fun neighborhood of downtown Chicago. Their menu is extensive and there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is fun and lighthearted, but the dim lighting also makes it feel formal at nighttime. Ordering dessert is an absolute must here. Thry used to be good, had good food, now there food has gonw down in quality. My food order is always missing something when I order food to go. I am tired of them charging super high prices for missing food. Then the server wants to argue because I said my order he brought me was wrong. Get my order right the firat time and I won't complain. I used to love pinstripes, used to give them big tips, now I am done with them. read more

Ok....yum. We got the best waiter, Darrell, who gave us recommendations on everything - especially a great white wine. Started with the stuffed mushroom apps which were good. Those are really hard to mess up and they didn't - very simple and delicious. I got the grilled chicken sandwich with just avocado and tomato. Sooo dang good, the seeded bun was perfectly grilled and everything. The salad on the side was great to. My dad got the lasagne and absolutely loved it (and he's hard on food). My mom got the angel hair pomodoro and liked as well. Overall...just a great place and great vibes in downtown Chicago!! Don't be discouraged because there is bowling below, you can't hear it!! read more

Had no idea about this place, we just happened to be passing by and trying to figure out what to eat. The place is rather large and we were curious about a place that has bowling and bocce ball. The food is new american (i guess), so you have your assortment of flatbreads aka pizza and sandwiches and such. We ordered an assortment of stuff to share and everything was pretty tasty. Everything tasted fresh and came out hot, nothing stale or cold. The staff was friendly and the place was spotless. The food was a little slow to come out, but some of that might have been us being really hungry and our group was of a larger size (7). Luckily, the food was pretty solid, so I'm going to give them a thumbs up. Didn't get to try the bocce or bowling, but maybe next time I'm in Chicago I'll try it again. read more

My family and I celebrated my son's 14th birthday at Pinstripes' River North location in late February and could not have chose a better place! The staff was so knowledgeable and had great communication from the first contact until the very end of the event. Social distancing was in full effect and appreciated. I booked one of the private party rooms where we had a buffet style dinner and pasta station. The food was fresh and tasted great and the bar had something for everyone. My group ordered everything from wine and sangria to craft beer, tequila and cognac. Our host and the manager on duty attended to all our needs and made us feel safe and welcomed. We will definitely back soon. read more

Tried this place on our way back from Navy Pier. Didn't look too big from outside but there is so much going on inside! Ate dinner at the bar. Bar area is cozy with different seating options - couches, bar seats & regular table/chairs. Decided to bowl after dinner and was taken downstairs to the lanes. All lanes have a server to bring you food and drinks and leather couches to relax. Lots of fun and good food in a casual setting. Perfect for small or large groups. read more

Pinstripes - Chicken and Avocado Flatbread. Delicious indeed - New American Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This is a review of their weekend brunch. -I believe their brunch costs $28 per person which is reasonable for a Chicago restaurant. -They had a wide selection of food and it all appeared good quality -My favorite stations were the waffle and omelet bar. Both times I went up there was never a long line. I had a strawberries and creme mini waffle and a nutella and banana mini waffle. Both were delicious! The omelet bar has tons of toppings to choose from. -Other dishes included pizza, salad, chicken, parfaits, muffins, bread, bagels, salmon, carved meat. -They have a nice dessert table with chocolate fondue! It was fun to dip strawberries, marshmellows, and rice krispies into the chocolate. -Brunch comes with 1 mimosa each!!! Good overall deal for $28 -All of the staff were very friendly, they visisted our table often and kept the food stations filled. -The overall restaurant was clean and the seats were cozy read more

The food was amazing, and the service was awesome. I don't have anything else to add, but the review needs to be 85 characters.

If I could provide a negative amount of stars - I would. The first time we ordered pick up, the process was smooth. It's moved significantly downhill since that first order. After this evening - we give up. We have attempted to order food from here on four occasions- each with disastrous outcomes combined with sarcastic service from managers and staff. I've had to fight to get my money back after never receiving food - on a pick up order. Best of luck - so many other places to go in Chicago. Don't waste your money or your time. read more

Story time: The manager and front desk staff allowed my moms purse to be stolen right in front of them while doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The manager then miraculously was able to go to a trash can right outside and find 4 other women's purses- sketchy...we think so too! The only reassurance they did give us was that they were looking to get a security guard for the front. And, they were only willing to comp us after ANOTHER manager had to get involved and viewed the videotapes to make sure it happened- (it sounded like another terrible excuse). In summation: Don't go here unless you're looking to talk to an incompetent staff and become a detective in the city of Chicago! read more

Really I just have two words Jake & Joel. They are simply the best and are def a staple in the restaurant business. They made my Saturday afternoon perfect. Jake wasn't my original server, but after he noticed my assigned waitress dropped the ball he stepped up and made some things happen and quick. A lot of people don't get there props, but when we wanted to compliment him to the manager, Joel, double greatness accolades to him too. Ooh and not sure I've ever had a bad meal here. The veggie omelet and avocado toast was good. Hubby had shrimp & lobster bruschetta, yum. See you guys soon, OH, and keep up the good work. MUST HAVE EATEN TOO FAST, DIDN'T GET A PICTURE OF MY FOOD, lol. OOPS!!! read more

My family and I decided to check out this place for a birthday it was a very nice atmosphere; the staff was friendly the food and drinks were amazing even though they didn't have a big alcohol selection After eating my family decided to bowl & for this place to be downtown and be as nice as it was I would think their lanes would be so much better ......the balls and lanes were the worst we had ever bowled that was a turn off .... If the lanes were better I would definitely come back and recommend everyone go but being that was the main reason we went unless they get better lanes i probably won't be back read more

I really wish I could have enjoyed the food and beverages here :( We stopped by around 5pm on a Sunday and checked in with the hostess. I asked if it would be okay if we sat outside on their gorgeous patio. She was very nice and said "absolutely, I'll have a server out there for you." Great! It was a beautiful day and after a quick glance at the menu, we were both excited to eat here. Wine and cocktail list looked particularly amazing. 8 to 10 minutes goes by...I step inside and go downstairs to use the restroom. Come back up and my husband says no one has been by. That's cool, I did leave the table and that would make sense no one would have come over. 5 more minutes goes by. Nothing. There were 4 hosts at the reception desk. If you can staff 4 hosts on a Sunday afternoon, there clearly isn't an issue with being understaffed. I do want to try this place - so I will update this review when I finally get service. read more

This had to be one of the worst wedding venues that I have ever been to. The food was horrible, the bar service was ridiculous. There were approximately 225 people, and they had 1 bartender on a bar no longer than 8 feet. I asked for Kailua and crean after waiting in line for 20 minutes. I was hand a glass with Kailua in it and was told to go get my own cream from the coffee table. read more

We came to Pinstripes for dinner after a play at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. It's an easy walk from navy pier. We all loved the concept of the place - restaurant, bocce and bowling. The bocce courts are right in front when you come in but the bowling lanes are separated from the restaurant so there is no typical bowling noise. The ambience of the restaurant is very warm, inviting, and comfortable. I'm giving Pinstripes 4 stars because the service was slow. Our server was nice but seemed distracted and didn't come around too much. There weren't many people in the restaurant so I don't think he was too busy, just inattentive. The food was good. My daughter had the Chicken Parmesan which she enjoyed. I had the French Dip sandwich which was excellent. I wish we had been able to play bocce but it was late. Maybe next time! read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was so welcoming. That is always a perk! They had my favorite wine and it was half off for the bottle. Yes, please. Afterwards we were able to bowl with the drunk people, even though we were unable 5o reserve a lane online. Good times! read more

Ate dinner here on a Sunday night with 4 people in our party. We arrived on time for our reservation and sat on the patio. Nice ambiance however the service was disappointing. Drinks were slow to arrive. Appetizer never came. We had to request silverware and napkins when our food arrived. We would have ordered another round of drinks but the waitress didn't stop by the table AT ALL during our meal to check on us (despite being nearby at other tables). We heard the tables nearby tell their waiters about various food-order mistakes as well. We are very understanding of wait-staff during these ongoing difficult times, but multiple issues during one visit is notable. I do not recommend dining here. ...I give 2 stars because the food was ok and we've come to this location for happy hour at the bar and had no issues. read more
