Quite the spot!! Came here with a group of collueges for a bowling night and was wowed but all the lights, games, and happenings here. It was surprisingly pretty dead for a Thursday night, but I can definitely see why locals would come here. We were assigned to lane 11 to bowl. The seating around the lanes were comfy, and we were quickly greeted by a server. While the bowling itself was super fun, I wouldn't write home about the food/drinks. Margarita was pretty sweet (pre-made mixer I assume), and the pizza was subpar. I did like the wings though! If you're looking for an activty-night, this could be a spot for you. read more

Looks like my last review was 20 years about when Lucky Strike first opened here and that may have been my last time there as well. I met up with some colleagues here and realized the reason it took me so long to come back is the parking situation. I got a spothero for the parking right in the building, but still a pain and expensive (although less than paying the garage directly). The nice part was that the elevator took you right up to lucky strike, which was ideal when i left and it was pouring outside. I got here at 6:45pm on a thursday evening and we were one of the only lanes, but when we left at 9pm all the lanes were full. 7 of us had fun with a round of bowling and also enjoyed some pizza and wings. I had eaten a little before i got there so only had 1 slice of pizza, but it was good by bowling alley standards. And my glass of wine was good as well. They have an impressive arcade as part of the bowling alley that my boys would probably really enjoy. Noted if we're ever in the city and need an indoor activity for a bit in the river east area. Overall, it was a fun activity and good to be back after 2 decades. read more

This review is for bowling. Earlier this week we wanted to go bowling.. tried calling lucky strike a few times to see if they had open lanes and it took a while for us to finally speak with someone. Luckily they did have open lanes. We walked over and got to the cashier area to pay for lanes and shoes. No one there. We waited for a bit. We had to walk to the other side, toward the bar to find someone. They needed to call someone else to come to the registers. We finally were able to pay for our lane (which was booked by the hour and not by the game) and got our shoes. A couple of our shoes didn't fit so we had to go Back to change sizes, again. No one there. Had to find someone again. Needless to say the service is slow here. It wasn't even busy inside, it was a week night. They do have a kids menu, so that was a plus. Pizza or Chicken tenders, comes with a drink and fries. And of course they have a lot of lanes (I think I counted like 20?). There was a nail sticking out of the original lane we had, and caused our balls to get all wonky. Anyways- they quickly switched to another lane. Which was nice. Came here with my girls after a wonderful Valentine's Day lunch. We got our tickets from Groupon and paid $18.75 per ticket. This is the Streeterville location. Upon arrival we showed the nice guy at the register our tickets and we got a red game play card with 100 credits on it. Unfortunately, I don't think I even used all of my credits. So many machines were out of order, I would say a good 30% of their inventory was not working. So the games got a little repetitive. There was one machine that had no out of order service sticker, so we tried to use it and it didn't work. It just stole our credits. It was the machine where you hit the ball to test your strength. My friends and I got pretty bored with the games and went to their restaurant. We just shared an order of wings and my friend got funnel cake fries that came with ice cream and an assortment of other toppings. The food was okay- it was what you would expect arcade food to taste like. Our waiter was very kind, but service was really slow. We had to flag someone down to take our order after we initially sat down and waited for about 20 minutes. They must get plenty of callS on this topic as it sounded rehearsed. two transactions at the bar as we were hanging in the pool area. It was not busy yet understaffed but was willing to wait. Three receipts with each transaction. They've added an arcade vibe, which feels like they borrowed it from For the Win, but honestly, it feels rushed and thrown together. The worst part, though? The food. It was awful. I've been to lucky strike before but not this location. It's bowling for adults basically. I don't think kids are not welcome but most times I've been it's adults. It's in a huge space and there are plenty of lanes as well as a huge bar. There's also seating at the bar. They have ping pong tables as well. Plenty of lanes and they are all automated. You just enter names and hit start and it does everything else for you. The balls all have large and small thumb holes which is awesome. I went with a large group so we have a reservation which I think is helpful or call ahead at least as I believe it gets busy there. They don't open until later in the afternoon as well. read more

Had a birthday party here for my kiddos and they enjoyed it to the fullest. The service, ambiance and food were amazing! We event returned recently for a family hangout. The only disappointment was the menu. The party menu is different then the regular menu and we weren't aware. They also wouldn't even try to see if we can order from the party menu! Overall, the food tasted more like bar food. The ambiance felt more club-like. I wonder what happened to the customers during the Saturday afternoon? Some customers went over to the bowling lanes. We waited for at least 20 minutes for any service to come to us. Our server, even though he came across as being laidback, it felt like he did not want to be there. We waited longer than we ought to have waited for our food and check. The staff gave themselves an 18% tip which equaled to $6.11. Took the family there for New Years Eve, The best decision we made all 2024! From check in we knew we made a good decision. Door security in place to ensure the safety of the guests and staff on a holiday is very much appreciated. We were checked in by a manager named Jocelyn, and sat to our lane by a server. Very unfortunate but the Yelp rating is spot on for this place. This is a bowling alley on the second floor of AMC theater. SPACE- It's a shame because the space itself is very nice and spacious. There's lots of tables and seating, a large bar, and various games including the bowling lanes. We saw two events being held there. FOOD - the food we ordered was very tasty (pizza and the garlic parm fries) but they came with no napkins or utensils or plates. We asked the server for some and she said yes but never was to be seen again. That's unacceptable to me that after paying a 20% service charge I have to go scavenging for napkins (because you're bowling so you need them). DRINK - Drinks were reasonable priced for the area but pretty sugary like college style. The fishbowl punches were a good deal. They took FOREVER to come out and often our group had to go to the bar to ask them to make it even though no one was there. Finally at the very end of the night they told us we shouldn't have been using the app to order because it wasn't working well but NO oNE had told us that ever and there was no other way to order food. BOWLING- we came on a Wednesday night and it still took some time in lines etc and had to wait a bit so I can only imagine what it's like on the weekends. A fun place for bowling and playing video arcade games. Staff is friendly. They have a good selection of arcade games. I wish they had a few pinball machines in the front area section. I tried all the video arcade games once and primarily played skee ball which is my favorite. They have four skeeball machines in the rear section behind the last bowling lanes. I think they have several pool tables in a small private room, but I did not see anyone playing so I do not know if this is private reserved room. In addition, they offer food and drink at separate dining tables or on tables within the individual bowling lanes. Groupon is offering discounted arcade game cards. We recently hosted an event at Lucky Strike Bowling. While the planning process was seamless--with the staff making everything easy and ensuring we felt well taken care of--the event was disappointing. When we arrived, the venue was overcrowded, and checking in took longer than expected, which was frustrating for our group. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there. Our bowling lanes were constantly intruded upon by guests from the neighboring lanes. Too many kids and adults were placed next to us, and they frequently sat in our space and even attempted to bowl on our lanes, which made it difficult to enjoy our time. Given how smooth the planning process was, we expected better execution during the event. Lucky Strike needs to improve its crowd management, check-in process, and lane organization to ensure guests can fully enjoy their experience. I completed the Group Event Survey two weeks ago and, when asked, indicated that I would like someone to contact me regarding my feedback. A week ago, I followed up with the Director of Sales, who assisted with planning the event. She mentioned that the General Manager had attempted to reach me. However, I know that the Director of Sales has had no issue contacting me by both phone and email and as of today, I have not received any communication regarding my concerns. read more

The sales associate advised I pay for the minimum number of 9 kids and can add on more on the day . If I can give it no stars I would. I went today me and my husband bought tokes through Groupon. An associate manually put in code to give me a game card no problem. My husband bought more tokens through Groupon once more went to redeem the manager told us he cant let us redeem till 24 hours which I was confused since they allowed me to redeem for mines 15 minutes prior. The manager that night was so rude when we explained that his employee allowed us to redeem he was making faces us being so disrespectful. This place has the rudest employees. Fun barcade! This place is so fun! The bartenders and workers were so nice and friendly! They made our drinks super well. I ordered nachos and mac n' cheese bites, and those were your typical good bar food. It was good though. This place has a lot of games, like pool, mini golf, and arcade games. It's so fun! Vague cancellation policy on website. I had to reschedule/cancel a future reservation because we couldn't make it. On the website, it says to contact them if you need to modify/edit reservation and they'll do their best to accommodate (see screenshot). When I called, they said there is nothing they can do and that I can't even reschedule and I have forfeited the money. If we can't modify/cancel on the same day we made reservation, clearly say it under your FAQ. It makes no sense to tell us to contact you to just get refused. read more

So this review is really only based on the food and area. I was actually at FTW arcade with my 10yr old son but because the dinning area in the arcade was crowded and both place have the same food we ate at Lucky strikes instead. They have plenty of seating. We order the chicken bites and fries. My son and I had them plain with ranch on the side. My mom had them with bbq sauce on hers. Both were good and the lemonade was good. The service could be a little better because we waited a minute before someone came to take our order. Once our food came out we were not given utensils or napkins so I had to ask. Also, our drinks did not come with our food and I had to ask as well. Finally our drinks arrived. She did come once or twice to see if we needed anything. The only reason I wasn't too frustrated with the service was because you can tell they were short staff and trying to keep up with customers. I understand that due to covid may staffers didnt return to a lot of food service jobs everywhere. After we ate we did play a round of ping pong. It was fun. Its $20 an hour and you can choose between 2-4 paddles. There were some couches in the area for people to sit and watch. The tables did feel a little close together because our balls and others were flying in others area. Other than bowling alleys they also have pool tables and a bar. After 9pm no one under 21 is allowed so a good place to go with friends or fun date night. I will differently go back to do some bowling. read more

This is weirdest experience of my life and not in a good way. We started out strong by ordering a plate of boneless wings. After the table had all popped one in their mouths one was ripped open to reveal raw chicken. The entire plate was reaveled to be bright pink inside. Then after placing our order they brought out half of it and entirely forgot the rest. We had to reorder the entire other half. The food was Less than mediocre and I'm almost certain the entire staff was too stoned to go decent work. I literally downloaded this app just to write this review. The experience was that bad that I had to voice this. Treated friends of mine like 3rd class citizens after not honoring their reservation for bowling, and not allowing those underage WITH THEIR PARENTS to participate. They were told this was due to the age restriction, but the group was only their after time because their reservation was not honored! They had also purchased game cards which they were not able to use, and never received the food and beverages that were ordered! I will not tolerate ignorance or inequitable treatment of people by any establishment. If your employees are treated like trash and allowed to treat your customers like trash, then you have a trash business. Close the garbage lid on this one folks!
