We came here as a group of 9, my family and I wanted to do something active together. We reserved a spot for the shirt ball and it was a blast. Each reservation gets about an hour to play about 5 10min games and boy does time fly. The go carts are inverted and can be hard to drive but once you get comfortable it's a lot of fun, harder than it looks. We sat down for a light lunch and had no complaints, your normal bar food. My family went on to play laser tag, which they said was a lot of fun! Overall a great time

Omg!! Whirly ball was so fun! The learning curve felt steep and I wished the carts would drive faster. There were so many beers to pick from which were great! We came for a corporate event and had it catered with a taco bar - so tasty! Loved that there was bowling and other bar games like shuffle board, connect four, jenga, etc. A great place for events! I'd come back with friends if I were local to the area

I came to WhirlyBall to celebrate a birthday. The establishment needs some updates but over all we had a pleasant experience. My food was delicious and fresh. I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries.

Had a great team building event on a Thursday afternoon. They open at 2pm apparently, I was the first customer run the expansive building so I got a great opportunity to check out the venue. It is definitely huge, with three whirly ball courts (5 on 5), bowling, and laser tag. Lots of tvs so it's a great place to check out any games playing. For birthday party packages I thought the pricing was decent. (min 10 persons) and includes food. $25 per guest (Bowling), $30 for whirly ball, $35 for laser tag. Upstairs is plenty of space for hosting a wedding, group outing, or meeting for 100 + guests with its own separate bowling, area. A nice sized balcony deck for drink reception and its own bar area. There are also three smaller bday party room that hold probably 20-30 guests each if absolutely maxed out. We had some pizzas and I thought they were pretty solid. Crispy crust pan pizzas that held. Their chopped salad was fab, a bit overdressed but it was very yummy, lots of texture. The game of whirly ball was fun. We get 10 mins per game, and I think packages are usually for about 1-1.5 hours depending. I think we probably should have eaten first and then played because we wasted a good amount of our court time eating and drinking. I'll definitely come back for a party. It's different and a great place to catch a game. Full bar service and a gigantic parking lot. (Think it was formerly the Illinois Emissions testing site).

Cute, spot. This is a great spot for group activities like work events. We played whirlyball. Each game lasts for 2 rounds. It like your in bumper cars that you manually control, and you have to catch a whiffle like ball in hockey stick pockets. We had fun playing! Then we had a bunch of apps and drinks before our next move They also have bowling lanes and plenty of space to eat and drink. Im sure there was more, but I was just enjoying the company of my friends and not really looking around all too much

This place was so much fun! We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The whirlyball game is such a nice twist on the traditional dashing carts. We even played laser tag and bowling. The instructions were very clear before each game. Our server was so amazing! We were a huge party but yet he was patiently taking our orders and even remembered who had ordered what. We tried the fries, gutter balls, guac and chips, caprese pizza, wild shroom pizza, and the chicken pizza. They even removed the cheese on one of the pizzas for our vegan friend. The ambience is typical of a gaming place, but a bit on the nicer side. We also tried a bunch of different beers and cocktails. Overall, a great experience and great outing for a large group to celebrate an occasion.

I absolutely love this place!! Have hosted many friend events here and have even done a whirlyball league. The food and drink selection is great. Staff is always friendly and willing to help! Great for adult birthday parties as well as kids!

We made a reservation at Over/Under. When we arrived, there weren't a lot of people yet and we got seated quickly at a table already set up with our name on it and lots of fun swag. By the time the game was starting, it was packed. TV's lined the walls all the way around so every table was a good table. No one blocked our view. We each received 5 drink tickets and 2 meal tickets. In addition to the fact that we wiped the floor with Kansas, we met some really nice fans from Chicago. They made our visit so much fun, filled with endless laughter and a great time. It was a nice mix of young and older folks like us and the young people were so respectful and friendly. It truly was a pleasant surprise. They gave us their bar stools with backs so that we would be comfortable. I don't know if Steven David, who we also met there works for the bar but he was funny as all get out. He says he's a comedian so if you're in Chicago, look for him at a comedy club. The owners were very friendly and we appreciated chatting with them too. We didn't get to our second meal or order half of our drinks bc we were having such a good time so we gave them away. The pretzels were good and nachos weren't bad. Edible. They also offered free opps for prizes and you could also buy tickets to win prizes. Overall, we really enjoyed our time. The food from Theory never disappoints. Last year, I had the Theory Burger and was delighted by how good it was. This year, I tried the Challah French Toast and it was pleasantly delicious. The Mac and Cheese was also a solid choice, and for $8, they provided a good amount of food! And that Chicken Parm Egg Roll...wow they were so good!! I was skeptical from the name, but this was like having a pizza roll but in egg roll form The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because Theory has severely up charged for the Champions League. I recall last year a reservation was $5/person, but this year they charged $15/person. For this reason, we came in at 9AM opening time for an 8-person table and were able to get one without having to pay the reservation fee. I really like how organized Theory is though, as a sports bar. Service has always been great and I may come again for another game!
