A solid spot if you're looking for a chill bar to grab a drink and a snack. We got the cookies and milk to share, which was really good. Then, I also got a cocktail. Overall, worth a visit for a pretty no frills, cool atmosphere bar.

I can always head the music here as I walk by, good hip hop. I stopped by for a drink. I got an espresso martini. It was good, can't go wrong with good vibes and a good drink. The place wasn't crowded and the cocktail servers were very feeling, I'll definitely be back.

Definitely a vibe... great drinks, bartender & music.... Side note: They have a happy hour too.

Impeccable spot with delicious drinks and unmatched energy. Why did they have the best DJ ever? Truly so impressed with this spot, I can't recommend it enough. Staff are super kind and the decor is a nice and elegant aesthetic.

Amazing happy hour for cocktails at a super chill lounge with speakeasy vibes. Come for the craft cocktails. The bartenders make to order no pre mixed stuff.

Revolver is an absolute vibe! From the moment I walked in, the energy was unmatched. The bar manager Tommy was AMAZING -- attentive, welcoming, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience. The DJ set the perfect tone all night, and the drinks? Made to absolute perfection. Every single one. I hate that I live in St. Louis because if I were in Chicago, I'd be here at least once a week without question. The service, customer care, and overall vibe are truly top-notch. And to make it even better, it's Black-owned -- which makes supporting this spot feel even better. If you're looking for great music, flawless drinks, and an atmosphere that just hits, Revolver is it. Highly recommend.

I stopped by Revolver as I saw a recommendation on IG. We decided to go for their happy hour which was priced nicely. The vibes were along the lines of a speakeasy, dark, funky light fixtures which were pretty cool. We ordered a margarita, a sidecar, and 2 shots of Sir Davis. The drinks were ok but the service was pretty poor. The staff appeared to be more interested in talking with each other rather than serving customers. There was a certain warmth missing from this place which was off putting. I would suggest staff really focus more on the customer experience.

Came here for happy hour and the place fills up fast! Around 6pm on a Friday it was quite loud and the bar was filled. We had a booth and got served fairly quickly. We got the $6 margaritas and made them spicy, which were delicious and refreshing. Definitely recommend for a fun happy hour spot for good cocktails and music!

Been meaning to check out this speakeasy. We met the owner at the Duplex once and he told us about this new spot...then I forgot about it. First checked this out early April on a Sunday evening. We were able to catch Happy Hour. The place was not crowded but slowly did hit capacity. On this occasion I came with my Father-in-law and Husband. The boys enjoyed dark liquor drinks and I enjoyed bubbles. We didn't grabbed snacks as we had a late lunch but they looked interesting. We enjoyed our time spent here and appreciated that the DJ played old and new jams. It was time to go when Sexy Red came on. I blushed for my Father-in-law. Not so much because of the song but because people started gyrating on the floor, And it wasn't even 7 PM. On second occasion, left another Happy Hour in Wicker Park and wanted to have a night cap. A girlfriend and I decided to come to Revolver. To our surprise here was a meet up being held here and the place was packed. No wonder we couldn't find parking. We were still able to grab drinks and mingle for a bit. On this occasion my drink (He who remains) was not good and horribly expensive. My cocktail ended up being $23 bucks with service charge (tip)...hmm it wasn't worth it. I ended up having another cocktail the Handlebar (margaritas-ish) and that was tasty. Overall, I like this black owned spot. Everyone is chill and having a good time. Right next door to a cool record shop. I will be back but I am gonna need to catch that HH special before rolling over to the $23 drinks.

Cool ambience, tasty drinks. Bummer that they ran out of the crab dip and creamy tahini dip. The old fashioned comes with a cool cube of ice. Bartender made my margarita spicy for me. Great deal for $8. Hubby said old fashioned was flavorful! The app called Pyro was really tasty. Ritz crackers with spicy butter. I didn't try the pork rinds but hubby said they weren't bad.

Revolver is cute. You can go in for many reasons: business drink, catch up with friends, to dance or just to grab a quick bite of appetizer and leave. The reasons to go and enjoy yourself are endless. Seating goes quick unless you reserved a table. The bartenders move quickly and the selection of top shelf liquors are great

Someone I follow online had posted about their great experience here, so I decided to check them out. We arrived a bit before 8pm on a Friday night. The place was fairly busy. We only had to wait 15-20 minutes before two seats opened up at the bar. I didn't previously know that they accepted reservations, but I would likely make one next time. They have large plush booths and seats at the bar available. There is a drink for everyone here. You can find everything from safe classics, to more innovative drinks. The first drink I ordered was the Old Man Logan (Rye, Apricot Eau-de-Vie, Hazelnut Liqueur, Salted Maple Syrup). Spirit forward, but also very approachable. I loved the light sweetness. I also tried my husband's two drinks (Revolver and Black Manhattan ). Those were also excellent. I was craving a Mint Julep. This wasn't a drink on the menu, but the bartender did an excellent job creating one. Very tasty. There are only light snacks on the current menu, but there are plenty of restaurants in the area to pick from. Revolver is definitely worth checking out.

The atmosphere is incredible--dark, intimate, and just mysterious enough to make you wonder if you've entered the wrong door (you haven't). The real surprise was the entertainment. At some point, a stage appeared in a place I could have sworn did not contain a stage five minutes earlier. The first performer delivered a gymnastics-inspired routine that completely defied both physics and common sense. Let's just say flexibility was involved, and leave it at that. The final act was equally impressive--a dancer who clearly knew exactly what she was doing and owned every second of the performance. The whole vaudeville-meets-speakeasy vibe was unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. The staff deserves special recognition. They were fun, friendly, and remarkably understanding. My partner managed to break a glass during the evening, and not only did they handle it with grace, they somehow avoided making her feel embarrassed about it. Considering she also misplaced several other items throughout the night, their patience should probably qualify them for some sort of hospitality award. The drinks were perfectly made, the prices were refreshingly reasonable for a place this unique, and the entire experience felt effortlessly cool. Chicago has no shortage of great bars, but The Drifter is an experience. Come for the cocktails, stay for the surprise performances, and leave wondering where the stage came from--and whether your partner still has possession of all her belongings.

I got reservations here for my birthday as I've been to Aviary, but never had a chance to go to the speakeasy-style concept downstairs. Haley took care of us while we were sat at a prime spot on the small bar. She was truly such a breath of fresh air and didn't intimidate like some highly skilled mixologists can sometimes do. We got to try a few drinks, but I have to call out the Martini with mango (great, balanced martini with a twist!) and the Leche de Tigre (you know this peruana had to try it!). The leche de Tigre (think ceviche in a glass) was savory, tangy, and something I would order again and again. To snack, we got the pepperoni flavored popcorn (they have a vegetarian version) and it blew me away. I would never have guessed it was vegetarian if we hadn't requested that specifically. And you know the presentation was on point. Overall, a new favorite spot in the city!
