I love a good activity. Why not make it shooting some pool. They offer drinks, food, music and even hosted a comedy show in the back while was there. The space is spacious and kept up very nice. I will definitely go back. The staff was pretty friendly and explained any questions I may have.

No hand chalk. I asked the bartender and he gave me a small thing of baby powder which worked great, but I think it was the only one he had. Nice tables, very fast because the felt is kind of threadbare in places. Bumpers have plenty of spring. Sunday evening: Not too crowded, drinks were not expensive, not cheap. Bartender was great, music wasn't too loud, mostly classic rock which I'm good with. Place is clean, everyone was chill. Not sure how long we played but it seemed on the expensive side for hourly pool. I'll see if there's a $5/hr night or something like that before I head down next time.

Billards hall in Logan Square is a nice addition to the neighborhood. Looking to get out of house on a Friday evening and this place was a good find. This location opened Fall 2020 and closed because of Covid-19 shortly thereafter. Reopening occured in February 2021, it is becoming a favorite of those in the area. We came early to take advantage of Happy Hour pricing (4 to 7pm). Who am I kidding I can't hang with the late night crew anymore. Lol. Anyway specials on Pool and Drafts during happy hour. $5 per person/hour for pool. We ended playing for 2 hour and smashing 3 beers each. Beers were good. No food at this location as of yet, but plenty of food nearby. The bartender mentioned that they wanna set up something with local pizza joint. That would be a great idea. The atmosphere here was cool. Staff ensured folks were being compliant with mask rules. Bar was full service and there was even darts going. Music system seemed legit. Mostly Red Hot Chili Peppers and other 90s band were playing. Pool tables were top of the line. Wasn't clear on if there were a range of different pool sticks but I was digging the whole vibe here. I am gonna give this place 4.5 stars. No real downside except no food or snack. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of parking.

Creative, cool space for pool and not pool people

I love this place! I met my family here and was blown away by the creative space, FANTASTIC coffee, and EPIC service. Alex, the bartender was wonderful and treated us like family. I am not a pool player but had a blast just hanging out. I will be back!

Great place to have a drink and play pool. It's a very welcoming space. The staff is friendly and the place has a great energy. The food and drinks were great too. And all very reasonably priced.

My new favorite pool hall in Chicago. Hands down, a great pool hall with the best pool tables on the market. I've gone at least 5 times since they've opened and it is rapidly becoming my home away from home. If you like playing pool or even just chilling at their huge full service bar, get out there. You'll love it! Oh, and they have a cool stage in back and upper level vip room. Nothing else like it in the area.

Very nice facilities, drinks, and employees. The table rentals are bit pricey, but otherwise I really enjoyed Surge.

Slow and rude bartenders. Other than that, ambiance is okay, and it's spacious. Not sure if I'd go back again.

All because a few years back my brother took me to his favorite cocktail bar in Detroit and I hated…read morethe drinks and was a sourpuss about it he usually refuses to take me to his other treasured places. However I think the holiday spirit got to him a couple of weeks ago because he took me to Consignment which is one of he and his wife's faves. The name is as it says - the bar doubles as a secondhand store and whatever is on display is for sale. I adored it! The service was awesome - I always love chopping it up with Black bartenders - and the crowd was very very queer. I was legitimately in heaven. So much doesn't feel safe right now - especially with the J6 goon squad running amok in Chicago trafficking people. It was nice to be among my people enjoying great drinks in a buzzy atmosphere. Because we are old, we got there by 730 on a Saturday and surprisingly it was already packed! Patience won the day though and within 45 minutes we snagged some stools against the wall. I had a great time here and hope to return!

What a cute place! Stopped in for happy hour on a Tuesday around 430pm. Deals are pretty good…read more Cocktails for $8, draft beers for $6 and there was a deal on wine too. The place had a few other small groups around with two bartenders available. Service was top notch and the bartender we spoke with was very knowledgeable about the menu and spirits in general. You could tell he took pride in and enjoyed mixology.
