A fun place for groups and couples and friends and work groups. Lots of fun drinks and inside and outside seating and lots of appetizers and food. But the food isn't great. The jalapeño nachos have too much jalapeño and little cheese and little salsa tomato. Drinks are good... food okay. Beautiful ambiance and modern look. Fun fun fun. Great for corporate events.

    Turkey bacon wrap

I found this spot near Union Station to grab some lunch before getting on the train back home to Michigan. It's located inside an office building in the main floor lobby area. They have a lot of outdoor seating overlooking the river, but I was a bit warm so I opted to sit inside. I was worried I was low on time, so I ordered the turkey bacon wrap to go. It came out quickly and was packaged well to take over to the train station. The fries were really tasty, seasoned well and the perfect texture for me. The wrap itself was more on the "ok" side - the turkey wasn't really flavorful and the texture was a bit mushy. I did love the bacon, though - it was really thick and high quality. It did the trick for a quick lunch. I'd probably order again as they were fast during the lunch rush and a convenient spot for heading to the train station.

Little Toasted is a casual restaurant that combines upscale toast-centric dishes with an extensive whiskey selection The space features industrial-chic design with river views and an airy patio. They cater well to business lunches and weekend Their dishes are made with quality ingredients, they maintain an impressive whiskey selection, creative and tasty cocktails, and bright atmosphere. They can get crowded/noisy during lunch rush, and around dinner. The restaurant successfully balances between a casual lunch spot and serious whiskey bar, though it's best to visit during off-peak hours for a more relaxed experience.

We came here to cool off after a day in the sun and I gotta say, it's nice. The outdoor seating is spacious as is the inside. The couches were clean, large, and placed in a way that felt welcoming for groups. I thought it was neat that instead of having multiple sinks inside the bathrooms, they have one sink in each individual bathroom as well as a row of sinks directly outside. So, everyone in the restaurant can wash their hands with ease. When it comes to food, I wasn't feeling a full meal, so I ordered the avocado toast. It was heavily topped with arugula, which I don't mind, but what put me off was the strong sour taste. I think lemon or lime juice was added. It could have been a nice touch, but way too much was used. Regardless, I finished it. Our server was nice, but could have been a little more attentive when it came to the checks. Not sure I'd make this my go-to dining spot, but definitely a "grab drinks with friends" spot!

    Becky with the good berries

This is a great option for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and even possibly dinner! Located conveniently steps from the station, you can pop in here while waiting for your train (as we did in our case), or on a day in the city as it is also pretty close to a few popular tourist destinations. The inside is really pretty and comfy, and we were seated immediately on a Thursday early afternoon. Our waiter recommended the "Becky with the hood berries" cocktail to satisfy my sweet cravings and I loved it! We also tried the breakfast burrito (yum!) and the breakfast sandwich with sourdough bread. We also had a couple of beers as well before leaving. There was ample outdoor seating as well as the indoor seating, so definitely stop by if you're in the area.

My group of 4 had a pretty odd experience here unfortunately. Service was very short/impatient, but I can understand that they are quite overwhelmed with the after work/happy hour crowd on a Thursday at 5:30! However, I ordered the frosé, and it was served as pictured. When I asked for a straw, I was told rather rudely there were "no straws or spoons" which I can't be understanding of. As you can see in the picture, the frosé can't be drank like a liquid - It's quite thick. So I resorted to spooning it with the lemon twist as my only option. I even made eye contact with a few others who ordered this at different tables with the same issue, so it wasn't just a misunderstanding with my server. At a minimum, this should've been communicated when I ordered the "drink". I definitely will not be returning after this uncomfortable experience and will try the other options in the area for happy hour with my coworkers.

The wife and I met a friend here for some drinks and ordered appetizers. This restaurant/bar is busy after work, but we only had to wait a few minutes to get a table. The beer selection is good and service is efficient. In addition to beer, we ordered onion rings and chef's board. Both were good. I tried the onion rings, but mostly ate the Chef's Board. There was so much of it that I had to bring some home. The meats and cheeses are delicious and went well with the beer.

Our server was nice and water refills came at the right times. The burger was honestly pretty mid. It tasted fine, but our server said it was one of the best burgers in Chicago and I definitely wouldn't agree. 5/10. The salmon was tender and had a really interesting crust. It wasn't charred like I expected, almost had a rubbery texture, but I actually enjoyed it. The lemony miso sauce was delicious, the pickled cucumbers added a nice crunch. 7.5/10. The prime bone-in ribeye was fine. Good flavor, but nothing really stood out about it. 6.5/10. Dessert was the highlight of the meal. The chocolate crunch dessert was sooo good. Loved the marshmallow pieces and all the different textures from the crunchy mousse. 8/10. The salted caramel gelato had a great texture, but it was way too sweet for me. It tasted more like straight sugar than salted caramel. 6/10. Overall, a solid last-minute date night spot with good vibes, but the chocolate crunch dessert was definitely the standout.

You simply choose your preferred spirit, flavor profile, and glassware, then let the mixologist create something just for you. It's one of my favorite cocktail experiences in the city, and they've never steered me wrong. What I especially appreciate is how knowledgeable the bartenders are. They're always happy to offer recommendations if you're unsure what to order, but they're equally excited to create something completely unique if you're feeling adventurous. Watching them craft each drink is part of the experience. I've even hosted a birthday gathering here in their private side room, where we enjoyed charcuterie boards alongside our cocktails. If you're just stopping in for drinks, though, I'd recommend grabbing dinner beforehand, as the food offerings are fairly limited. More often than not though, you'll find me sitting right at the bar. I love watching the bartenders showcase their craft and chatting with them about the incredible selection of spirits they have on hand. It's a great spot for anyone who genuinely appreciates well-made cocktails and the artistry behind them. I'm also a member of their loyalty program, which is well worth joining. It can be used at The Berkshire Room as well as several other excellent restaurants, making it an easy way to earn rewards while exploring some great dining spots around the city. Whether you're a cocktail enthusiast or simply looking for a sophisticated place to unwind, The Berkshire Room consistently delivers. I'll definitely be back for another Dealer's Choice soon! #YelpEliteSquad

I sat at the bar downstairs and can confirm the place has a classic speakeasy feel -- the the basement of a place behind a locked door, very dark inside with mood lighting/glass cases and leather chairs/couches around small low tables. It's definitely a great date spot! I took off a star because it's pricey -- I got the "milk punch" on their classic cocktail menu which was $25 and is pretty small, but it's a nice drink and tasted very much like a milk punch drink I got at a speakeasy back home (in Austin, TX). The bartenders were super nice and provided excellent service, no complaints there! The bathrooms were also immaculate. Overall, this is a very nice speakeasy! I've been to many in my day and the ambiance is definitely on par with the best, but I gotta say some other unique ingredients (ideally more floral options!) would really take their menu up a notch!
