Delilah's might be my most cherished bar in all of Chicago. It has a great atmosphere of nearly pitch black vibes but with the friendliest of service. Come here if you're looking for some excellent whiskeys, ryes and bourbons. The selection is pretty much exceptional and the bartenders make excellent recommendations. Everything just clicks: the music, the interior, the overall energy. The drink selection is seriously impressive. You can tell it's been curated by people who know what they're doing. And if you're not sure what to get, the staff is more than happy to guide you without being pushy or over-the-top. Just genuine, helpful service. Here's another dive bar in Lincoln Park that harkens back to when the neighborhood wasn't all fancy. If interested in an old school experience without the frills, come here. Delilah's is a low key hangout with fun art and hip music. Cheap drinks. The bartenders are chill and aren't chasing after money with overpriced weak cocktails at nearby other bars you can get. A lot of customers think this bar is dark. It certainly is. This only adds to the intrigue and mystique. Good place to do more than just drink. Lots of cool art is on the walls. Many are from local artists. There's also cool ass music. Drinks are the main thing of course. Lots of different types of whiskey. It's about $6 for the cheapest. The prices aren't as good as they used to be but it's much cheaper than other fancier places around here. Has more to check out you may not be aware of the first time, such as inside there's another bar. It has an upstairs that's another hangout. There's a few arcade games, some TVs, and pool table. read more

What a cool place that absolutely delivers on being a high-quality bar with an unpretentious vibe. The place has a punk-rock atmosphere and fun art on the walls that is a nod to great childhood characters referencing some of my favorite horror moves. The music was excellent. I had to move my stuff to make room for the crates of vinyl someone brought in to spin for the night. All great stuff. The service was great and not heavy-handed. My friend and I were greeted quickly and given time to look over the extensive beer list. The bartender was friendly and helped guide us to some excellent choices for some odd beers they had on tap for the holiday season. Overall, it was an excellent place to spend time catching up with a friend and enjoy some fantastic drinks. I can't wait to come back to try the legendary whisky selection! read more

I will return just for the pickle juice!!!! Had girls night here and the Friday night special was $3 Jameson shots. We got it with pickle back and can I just say that the owner is really onto something with their special handcrafted pickle juice. We had a great time and even one of the bartenders steered us away from a creeper. I even left my wallet there and 5 days later they still had it. (After days of turning my house inside out and tracking down my past transactions.) This wonderful bar had it all along. Wallet retrieved, cards unused and cash in tact. Good people, honest business. The place is divey and grungry, and it's fantastic. Months after my first terrible experience at this bar, a friend of mine returned with some people for a night out. She had previously spoken up when the bartender told his friend that my group should "kill ourselves" just because he didn't like us because he assumes we're "stuck up DePaul students" 1. We've been graduated, and not from DePaul. 2. We're service industry workers ourselves and know how to receive and give good service. That night, we did nothing wrong except try to get normal service, but he decided to treat us horribly. When my friend went back, the bartender recognized her immediately and told her to leave. She asked why, and he claimed the owner had read my previous review and "verified" that the only true part was that they intentionally overcharge people. So basically, they admitted to shady business practices but still deny their nasty, harmful comments. It's one thing to own up to bad service, but to admit to ripping off customers while lying about their hateful behavior? Completely unacceptable. My friend was treated like she did something wrong just for standing up to them, and it shows how little respect this place has for its customers. I'll continue to spread this story as you guys can't seem to forget it either... read more

Stopped in with a friend for a quick drink while bar hopping in the area. They have a huge selection of pretty much everything from beers whiskey, of course. The bartender was very personable and knowledgeable about their stock. It's a smaller place, but the vibe was fun and chill. Really my only complaint would be that the bathroom was kind of gross, but it's a dive bar so can't knock 'em too much for it. Will 100% be back to try more of their unique offerings. read more

Honestly, the prices are very fair, and if you're curious about trying something you've only heard about, chances are Delilah's has it. My wife and I found the bartenders to be super friendly, and knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Delilah's has been on my bucket list for a number of years because of its reputation, and I'm here to tell you it didn't disappoint. What a hidden gem! I almost did not want to post about this as I am a huge whiskey fan and didn't want this place to get over crowded and for prices to go up. Very unassuming from the outside but when you walk in it's a brown liquor mecca. Whiskeys, rye, bourbon, foreign all available for your palate. I tried two of them the Stagg jr and one of my all time favorites the Elmer T Lee. I still prefer the Elmer! Must go to if you're a whiskey fan! Staff was nice as well and welcoming. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. My recent visit to Delilah's was nothing short of a nightmare. The atmosphere was great but peter... seemed more interested in chatting amongst himself than customers. But the real shock came when I had a minor disagreement with him about my order. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the bartender told me to "kill myself." I was absolutely horrified and speechless. This is beyond unacceptable. No one should ever be subjected to such vile and harmful treatment, especially in a place of business. The management needs to take serious action against such behavior. Until then, I urge everyone to stay far away from this toxic establishment. There are plenty of other bars where you can enjoy a drink without being verbally assaulted. This place is a disgrace. Screw peter and screw the establishment they are discriminatory asf and do not respect you. AND he upcharged my friend and I. I'm not kidding. I got a cider and a miller light, PETER charged me $16 and my other friends got the same damn thing and charged them $10... fuck that man and fuck that stupid "punk bar" that we "do not fit into" I will NEVER go to that bar again. read more

This is a super cool bar. It's a surprisingly low key place that is known for its impressive wall of whiskey (plus other spirits) as well as a strong craft beer selection. Add in a laid back staff that is serious about their craft, a juke box, a pool table, a couple of pin ball machines and some cool locals and you have an awesome neighborhood hang out. From the outside and even from glancing around once you enter Delilah's, this looks like a small dive bar. However, go through to the back and you will see a shrine to the King (Elvis) himself with a small seating area. They have 666 different whiskey offering, yes, 666 different ones. I think it's safe to say that whiskey is king here. They also carry more than 1000 beer and spirit options and host regular art openings, film screenings & beer tastings. There is art from local artists as well as beer memorabilia covering the walls on the first floor, but the best part is the upstairs, from art deco walls and ceilings, a pool table and a second bar in the corner, There is a different theme each month, so your experience could be different every time you come here. You can hear punk rock, metal, roots and rockabilly, interpretive R&B or rock 'n' roll on a given weeknight.
