Really wanted to love GG's but our experience was pretty mediocre. We had a reservation for a Saturday night and got a nice table right by the piano. Our waitress was nice and it wasn't her fault but they don't have any non-alcoholic drinks on their menu - not even one for dry January! When I asked what other people have ordered NA, there was some grasping for straws and I ended up with a mojito that tasted like juice. Oh well. My friend ordered a glass of wine for $17 (same as the cocktails), which I thought was kind of expensive. Otherwise, the piano player definitely brought the energy and was talented but not the best singer. Inside decor was giving prohibition/speakeasy type vibes and probably even cooler when the weather is nice enough to open the big garage door style windows. Great location in West Loop but no designated parking and street spots can be hard to come by. Seems like the kind of place heavily dependent on the musician and crowd, so the vibes and experience will vary.

The upstairs was super loud but the downstairs was fine. Drinks were expensive but the bartenders worked fast.

First time visiting Grapes & Grains yesterday and I really enjoyed the experience. I sat at the bar on the second floor, which had a great vibe with live music setting the mood. The ambience felt classy but still relaxed--perfect for a night out. Service at the bar was attentive and friendly, and my Cosmo was made really well. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for the music, atmosphere, and drinks.

I celebrated a milestone birthday in NYC & THE CHI. Hip Hop and are the same age and I wanted to represent for the culture, movement, and LOVE of Hip Hop. My girl ordered a cake and we celebrated there. I was happy to be celebrated but maybe would have chose a different place. Ambiance was very bar..there was a lady signing songs while playing the piano. Not bad... LMFAO.. she even attempted to do Gin & Juice.....Laid back... with my mind on my money...and my money on my mind!!! Kudos to her for that. When it was time for her to sing Happy Birthday.... She kept saying the wrong name....well that's Fuqd...The cake was brought out to me and she sang to someone else..... Hilarious!

Met my husband here! We come back here from time to time and Hillary always takes care of us. 10/10 every time. Always so much fun. A great recommendation and fantastic drinks and ambience.

Cute and cozy piano bar. Lauren Hall was performing the night my husband and I attended an after-party. Took awhile to get our drinks. We were standing in line at the bar. I also saw that they had waitresses taking orders in the seating area if you didn't want to stand in line. I tried the French Martini. Probably won't be having another one. It's not the bars' fault. I just wasn't a fan. Will have to visit again when I am in the Chi!

How did I not know of this place!? Drinks, music and great service! You walk into old Chicago charm on a busy corner in the west loop. It's lively outside and in with the windows open during the summer. Inside is a nice space that's big enough to fit plenty but cozy enough for piano lounge vibes. The staff was absolutely attentive and accommodating. Sure, there is a cover charge but you should expect that for an entertainment venue. Plus it gets applied to your bill. A really good selection of drinks. I particularly like the pretty boy swag for a tropical twist. They also have plenty of whiskey drinks. Live music on fridays and saturdays with an early and late act. Really loved the early act that's a bit more toned down. Super easy to request songs via Venmo/pay pal or slips of paper. It reminded me of a piano bar we had in college. I like it way better than the other commercialized places. I really hope this place sticks around, great to take visitors to get that old Chicago feel!

Very cool, chill speakeasy joint to get a great cocktail! The vibe is very chill and is always a great time. I've been here twice and the very cool guy behind the bar always does the damn thing when it comes to carefully crafting cocktails. His name is Vincent and he can make you just about anything you want. The Old Money Old Fashioned (made with Old Forester 100) is one of the best I have had. The Smoke on the Water (mezcal cocktail) and Lady's a Tramp (Made with Wild Turkey 101 bourbon) is pretty good as well! I love the GG stamp in the ice...definitely lets you know you are drinking at a legit joint. They have small plates and snacks if you need a bite to eat while you sip. Wine and beer is sold here as well. There is also a piano player/singer that shows up on some nights to add to the vibe. I am glad this place is in walking distance of me so I can come by and soak up these awesome vibes and cocktails.

You simply choose your preferred spirit, flavor profile, and glassware, then let the mixologist create something just for you. It's one of my favorite cocktail experiences in the city, and they've never steered me wrong. What I especially appreciate is how knowledgeable the bartenders are. They're always happy to offer recommendations if you're unsure what to order, but they're equally excited to create something completely unique if you're feeling adventurous. Watching them craft each drink is part of the experience. I've even hosted a birthday gathering here in their private side room, where we enjoyed charcuterie boards alongside our cocktails. If you're just stopping in for drinks, though, I'd recommend grabbing dinner beforehand, as the food offerings are fairly limited. More often than not though, you'll find me sitting right at the bar. I love watching the bartenders showcase their craft and chatting with them about the incredible selection of spirits they have on hand. It's a great spot for anyone who genuinely appreciates well-made cocktails and the artistry behind them. I'm also a member of their loyalty program, which is well worth joining. It can be used at The Berkshire Room as well as several other excellent restaurants, making it an easy way to earn rewards while exploring some great dining spots around the city. Whether you're a cocktail enthusiast or simply looking for a sophisticated place to unwind, The Berkshire Room consistently delivers. I'll definitely be back for another Dealer's Choice soon! #YelpEliteSquad

Tucked away in the Acme hotel, the vibe is loungey with plenty of different types of seating. We came around midnight on a Friday and it was packed but we managed to find a cozy corner. For drinks, I've always enjoyed their "Dealer's Choice", which is a fun novelty. However, on my latest visit I decided to try the Frijolito ($18), which was basically a spin on an espresso martini but with mezcal. Wow! Perfectly balanced, unique, and delicious. For food, they offer some "bites" but I've not tried them. Our server was fine, nothing special. I can't remember ever having bad service here.

The food from Theory never disappoints. Last year, I had the Theory Burger and was delighted by how good it was. This year, I tried the Challah French Toast and it was pleasantly delicious. The Mac and Cheese was also a solid choice, and for $8, they provided a good amount of food! And that Chicken Parm Egg Roll...wow they were so good!! I was skeptical from the name, but this was like having a pizza roll but in egg roll form The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because Theory has severely up charged for the Champions League. I recall last year a reservation was $5/person, but this year they charged $15/person. For this reason, we came in at 9AM opening time for an 8-person table and were able to get one without having to pay the reservation fee. I really like how organized Theory is though, as a sports bar. Service has always been great and I may come again for another game!

We had visited Florence last year, and one of the numerous wonderful moments of our trip to Italy was seeing "Il Porcellino" - the lucky bronze boar fountain that draws tourists from around the world. A copy of the boar stands proudly near the entrance of the restaurant, and though it is not as old as the original 1634 sculpture, it was a charming reminder of our amazing Italian holiday. Did I mention that the weekday Happy Hour (4-6PM) specials are quite good? The specials are served only at the bar area, so you might have to wait a few minutes for available seating. We started with some drinks, including two kinds of Negroni. The wild mushroom arancini (5 little balls for $6) were the smallest I've tried, but they were creamy and melt-in-your mouth delicious. The whipped ricotta and jam beautifully served on a strip of toasty focaccia was a unique taste sensation. Prime beef meatballs and short rib sliders on toasted ciabatta bread also hit the spot. Even though we were merely dining at the bar, we enjoyed the overall vibe of the restaurant. There are lots of photos on the walls, interesting lighting from the ceiling, nice serving dishes, and servers who seem to know who their regular diners are. We look forward to returning to Il Porcellino, to bask in that indescribable feeling of being in Italy again.
