THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!!! As soon as you enter, there's a decent size arcade and a hostess (with the mostest haha) who will ask what we'd like to play. We came here for the bowling, so she directed us to see her coworkers at the bowling check in station. The place was club lit and seemed like this was the hot place in Plano to be on a Saturday afternoon. We got our shoes and were directed to our lane. Even with the bowling shoes, I couldn't help but noticed that the lanes are a kind of sticky. It's safer, but I feel like it messed with my bowling game. We got a bit hungry and ordered their fries. Ok listen, no matter what age you are, if you haven't played their virtual reality Rabbids game/ride in the arcade area- you're missing out! Lol. It's interesting to see the reviews of this place. A lot of the bad ones seem to focus on service - I hope those incidents are more isolated and not the norm. We didn't have any such issues during a recent visit. Our primary goal was to do some bowling, have some cocktails and, in general, just some fun. As others have mentioned, the bowling thing requires a little thought, because you pay up front for the time that you want, and if it runs out, the scoring screen/terminal just quits, and you have to go buy more time - there's not really a concept of "extending" it per se. There wasn't competition for lanes on the Wednesday night of our trip, so it wasn't a problem, but it was a little annoying. Shoes were clean and feature Velcro closures, so that's nice. Moving on to the lanes, I encountered the first of a couple of minor annoyances: ball finger hole sizes. Pretty much every other bowling alley I've been to just has endless racks of balls that you go through and try until you find a good fit. Here, they're clearly marked S, M and L (and I assume others, I didn't look closely), which should be a good thing, but it turns out that a M was completely out because my fingers wouldn't fit into the holes, but a L had thumb spacing that was just a bit far away from the fingers to be completely comfortable. I'd prefer the "hunt until you find one" variety. But the balls were in good shape and clean, so there's that. After selecting my ball, I came across the second annoyance: Seating at the lanes. Others have mentioned this as well, and for sure, it's a compromise between making it convenient for eating/drinking, and sitting between frames. If you're fortunate enough to have a party that's taking two adjacent lanes, it'd be nice, because the well padded and comfortable benches with the table in between would allow for nice chatting etc. But if you're just wanting to watch the bowling, or chat with those about to or having just bowled, you have to crane your neck around a lot. Getting the names entered and getting the bowling underway is pretty easy, and the scoring is easy to read on the overhead screens. They also have interesting random factoids and some REALLY bad jokes to keep you on your toes (e.g. "What's green and has four wheels? Grass, I was lying about the wheels"). The lanes are pretty well oiled - well, REALLY well oiled, you'll see it on the balls eventually as you go. But they're smooth and work great for duffers like me. Ball return is quick. We also ended up ordering food, and it was pretty good. I had a Texas Smokehouse Burger, featuring cheddar, BBQ sauce, bacon and Tabasco fried onions, and it was quite good, although a tad over the medium doneness that I had requested. Fries were large cut and tasty. But the real standout was the chicken and waffle stack appetizer. It was delicious, and very creatively presented (I'm kicking myself for not getting a picture), featuring ten little round waffles (with the perfect amount of syrup) topped with deep fried white meat chicken nuggets, topped with a spicy drizzle of sriracha cream and scallions. They looked awesome and tasted even better. Alcohol service worked pretty well, although a requested pair of vodka shots for my party of two netted only one, but we made do. We also wandered through the arcade area (which is very impressive) but didn't play this time. The rock climbing wall, in particular, is very impressive. PinStack was supposed to be a fun rainy day/night out but every step of the way way upsetting!! Bartenders were not assigned to each side of the bar do they were running crazy and never where they needed to be when anyone needed a drink. They tried, but it wasn't efficient. The hostess wasn't staffed enough to know that there were open tables in the restaurant. Once seated, we asked for a server twice before getting greeted. Marcus was 1 week on the job and a total blessing to get us fed. He was great and a total highlight to the night. The women's restroom looked like it hadn't been attended in days. How hard is it to assign a hostess to check out the restroom every 30 minutes and clean it up?? It was so bad!! We got our lane to bowl and Chaffon (so?) was awesome!! She was there for every food and beverage request and Wonderful to have her with us. The table at the Lane wasn't even cleaned off before we were seated. How hard is that? No plans to return to PinStack. So many things need to be addressed!!! read more

I totally understand that we got here on a busy night. They should not have let one server wait on a group of 30+, in addition to our group, on a Monday evening. Our party was neglected. We don't blame our server. This is mainly management's issue. Also, there was no pre-busing. Our food was cold and delivered separately. Sauces were missing. The birthday girl's food came in last. Our alcoholic drinks were delivered about 20 minutes late. No one came to refresh our waters. The goat cheese potatoes were pretty much garlic and salt in a mush. Awesome spot in Plano, the prices are a little expensive for food and bowling but we had a great time. Frozen Margaritas are great and full of alcohol oh goodness. Unfortunately, I had an extremely disappointing experience. We arrived at the location at 5pm on Saturday. We put our names on the waitlist to bowl and were informed that it was be a 1.5-2 hour wait. We proceeded in going to play games at the arcade. Several of the games were out of service. We made due with what was available since we purchased a game card. On at least 10 occasions, the games took credits from the card but the game did not start or work. At 7pm (after 2 hours of waiting) we went to check in on the bowling lane and the gentleman at the desk said we'll get you on a lane within 15-20 min, which we were okay with. We loaded more funds on the game card and went forward with playing more games. Unfortunately, on one of the games the electricity went out and took our credits, followed by another few games that just took the credits without starting. It was extremely frustrating. At 8pm (after 3 hours of waiting and an hour after the gentleman said 15-20 min) we went to check on the lane. We were informed that it would be at least another hour which would be 4 hours of a wait time since we arrived and an inaccurate wait time of at least 2 hours of what we were quoted. I understand that the wait time cannot be nailed down to a science but 2 hours of an inaccuracy is extremely disappointing. We did not end up bowling. And based on this experience, we will not be returning to this location. read more

Service is second to none! I accidentally booked a business event at the wrong location. Was the location mentioned SEVERAL TIMES in emails and conversations? Yes. Just a complete oversight on my part but it's how they handled my realization...just OUTSTANDING! I called at noon on the day of the event and Wendi exhausted every resource available to her to try and fix my mistake. Ultimately they weren't able to get the location changed but they didn't stop there! They worked with me to close out my contract and tie up loose ends even though I wasn't able to do se their facility for our event! They followed up with me to make sure everything worked out and I genuinely can't stop raving about their generosity!! This is probably the worst bowling alley I've ever been to. Not only is the waitstaff stupid, the manager is just as stupid. A group of friends decided to give this location a shot. After ordering a round of shots and food, the server was telling us that our tab was getting too high (like if we were going to leave without paying). If you're smart, you would've asked for a credit card in the beginning to keep the tab open. Then when we tried to order another round, he told us that we had to close out our tab after we had just renewed our lanes for another hour. Finally, when we tried to order another round of drinks, the manager decided to kick us out after the server complained to the off duty policeman that we were being rude to him. We were livid because they told us we had to order food in order to put in another round of drinks. Oh yeah, not to mention, their wait staff tried to tell my cousin to go outside to fight. Really??? Came here for my cousins party and would have rated them higher however due to the multiple subpar services that we received I can't give them more than a 1 star rating. Pros: lots of things to do, from bumper cars to arcade games, bowling, laser tag etc. great for both adult and kids. Cons: no one was servicing the bumper cars and rock climbing area so we had to search for the workers. When we did find a worker they all had a lack of enthusiasm and were all very disrespectful. Particularly, Nico, who was the guy we had to find to help us out at the rock climbing area pointed his finger at the kids and said "unless you want to fall off, I suggest you listen to the instructions". His response was unwarranted as he let us in clueless as to what we were suppose to do. When the kids got near the rocks, that was when he gave us that response. Food was definitely less than mediocre and over priced. Some games did not work. Honestly this place is no different from main event. I love this place! I came in with a group of 6 on a busy Friday night. Our first stop was the restaurant. Our server, Derian was very attentive to our large group and the food was ridiculously good! A very pleasant surprise if you are accustomed to some of the other establishments of the same theme. Our table treated our meal in a "family style" manner sharing everything we ordered. We started with the signature mac & cheese pops. A definite MUST try!!! We then ordered a few pizzas. They all sounded so good, but decided on the Honey Bee & the BBQ Brisket. Not a single complaint! They were so different. it's hard to say which is my favorite. The honey drizzle on the Honey Bee was a nice touch. The BBQ Brisket had such great fresh flavor. Although we were content with the pizzas, we still had to try a few entrees. We ordered the Grilled Salmon Filet. The lemon caper butter was so decadent. We also tried the Chef's special, Braised Short Ribs with cheddar whipped potatoes. It was topped with a house made BBQ sauce made with one of their craft beers, Revolver Blood & Honey. Both entrees were a crowd pleaser. Speaking of Blood & Honey, we all were very impressed with the large selection of craft beers. I believe that have over 20 on tap. After we over-indulged in all the deliciousness, we headed over to the bowling alley. We loved the big screens over the lanes and thought it was cool that they had the corresponding music videos playing along side sports and such. We then headed over to the game room. There were several attendants walking around to assist at any moment. Each area of the establishment was very clean and had it's own reason to boast. We will never return, and I will warn all others. I don't go around writing crappy reviews for kicks. This is may be the second or third I've posted in my life. We paid about $50 to be put in a bowling lane next to a large party who kept invading our lane and area, waiting for them to move out of the way just to throw for half of our paid hour. They should have been required to purchase two lanes, with how large their party was (12-14 people? Plus small children). On top of this, we put in an order for 2 simple appetizers. They did not come out until after our hour had expired. It was late and few other customers seemed to be ordering food. We were told we would be receiving our food shortly several times until then. The manager eventually comp'd this and boxed the food. We never got a solid reason besides a vague "the waitress messed up and had multiple incidents" - and "you know, WOMEN, man." (I wasn't aware of the last specific comment until this morning.) From a 'manager'? This is absolutely disgusting. I feel for the women in this dude's life (if he has any?...) and the employees he oversees. It's 2019 - that's the kind of stuff companies get blasted over the evening news for. He took ZERO responsibility... I visited the women's restroom and it was an unbelievable disaster. I wish I had my wits about me enough to snap a photo to include here, but I really just wanted to get out of there ASAP. Disgusting toilets, overflowing trash cans to which paper towels were stacked high and all over the floor. I tried to use multiple hand sanitize stations that were empty. I witnessed (no exaggeration) 3 employees on their cell phones in front of myself and other customers, and 1 manager near the front. The entire time our food was missing I witnessed countless waitstaff lounging around. It is extremely obvious the lack of respect and service we received last night was likely not only due to our waitress, but really more a lack of competence and diligence in management. I got the spinach artichoke dip, which was fine but not impressive since it was on the sweet side. We jumped on the high ropes course, which was delightfully scary and exciting. This place can get packed super fast! My first time here was Mother's Day and it was practically empty- which was awesome. I wanted a place to spend with my boys so they could run around and have fun. The games were up to date and they have different ones from Dave & Buster's, Round 1 and Main Event. There's a ropes course, bumper cars, laser tag and climbing walls. Not to mention, bowling of course. My boyfriend and I went in for their Monday happy hour. Monday is considered one of their non-peak hours so, with one lane and 2 shoes, it's about $30 for an hour. They also have a special on about 90% of their appetizers which is always a plus. We didn't have to wait for a lane and we didn't have to share the booth area with anyone, which is always a plus. We played the game of bowling with no issues and had a great time. Jessica was our waitress and checked on us frequently, which I was impressed with since we were so far from the bar. (Lane 3). After bowling, we decided to go play some arcade games which is when things went south. When we tried to load the "pinstack card" that is used one of the kiosks were broken, and the other one was borderline broken. What I mean by that is, we had to go through the process about 3 times to pay for our credits. After playing with it for about 5 mins and a line forming behind us, we finally got it to work. We played 3 games, then every single game went "out of order". At first I thought it was just a couple, but as we walked around it was clear that none of them worked. We spoke to one of the guys and it was said that they had a power outage earlier that morning.. however, this was about 7 pm. They didn't have an ETA of when they would come up, and after waiting about 5 mins we just decided to leave. I guess if we would have played games first, then bowled we would have been in a better situation... I understand things like this happen but it was just like "yeah it's broken" no compensation or fix for the customers that it inconvenienced. Overall this place would probably be a grand time! We had a birthday get together here for my wife's birthday. We planned ahead and had out lane reserved and food ordered all in advance. When we arrived they got us checked in quickly and right to our lane area. As our guests arrived we got them all setup as well pretty smoothly with the bracelets etc. We had servers coming by making it confusing. We had a person who was supposed to be assigned to us yet we hardly saw them. The other server bouncing around is a different type of server but thats who we saw and had to try and get help from when we needed it. We wanted to order additional food as the group did enjoy the food and eat a lot. When we tried to do this it became a weird situations that hard to explain. Apparently when you book originally and plan you food that's all you get. You can get just another order of something and pay for that dish. Then there are foods you might get and they do not make those separately and sell you only get with the package. By the time I was done we had talked to four different people with four different answers and settled for what we could get. The location was clean and looks good shape. Its not a bad place to go but they seriously need to work on the staff, staff responsibilities, and most importantly training so there is consistency between employees. They have a good model and I do wish them the best. I hope they read this and take the steps to improve the experience. read more
