A sign of a GREAT establishment is one that can take a potentially bad situation and turn into a positive experience that deepens and prolongs the relationship with the customer! The General Manager, Al, did just that with me. Last week my daughter and I were at Pinstack, playing in the arcade, and bought a bottle of water at the bar. A couple of days later I noticed the charge on my card from the bar was not accurate. I actually assumed the bartended may have padded the bill for extra tip, so was a little upset, as I've never experienced that at any establishment before. I called and left a message for the General Manager who called me back and handled everything professionally, and even went over the top to make it all right. He promised to research what happen and replenish our losses and then some. I shared with him that, in an unrelated incident of unfortunate timing, I also had my car broken into and our Pinstack card (with saved up points) was stolen from my car. I had one distraught daughter as a result (because she never said anything on one of those cards before and had her eye on a prize in the gift shop she was saving for). The theft from my car wasn't management's fault at all and they really didn't *have to* do anything - but Al, the GM, not only refilled a card, but gave us extra game play and even gave my daughter an extra gift from the store that she really had her eyes on! My daughter was over-the-moon happy! And we both were and are grateful beyond words for the professionalism and kindness exhibited by Pinstack Las Colinas. Certainly they have created a customer for life. P.S. My daughter named her new stuffed animal "Alice", which was inspired by Al, the GM who classily fixed the situation. Thanks, Pinstack. We took a group of 20 teenagers to Pinstack for their end of season party. We bowled for two hours, ate lunch at the lanes, then played in the arcade. Our servers were very attentive, the food was great, and everyone had a great time! Pinstack is so nice and definitely an upgrade to places like it. Alicia with the dark brown hair, glasses and super thick drawn on eyebrows, you're the reason I'm giving Pinstack in Las Colinas a 1-star. But I can't say you earned this star all on your own. I had to go to the bowling desk twice to ask for a server and nobody delivered. Even your superiors have recognized that you should have been fired cause you seriously lack the ability to do your job. Shout out to the guy bartender though for helping us out with our drinks. Gave him what could have been Alicia's tip. Sucks to suck, Alicia. Overall, the service here is subpar the past three times I've been except for the male bartender! I wish I caught his name so he gets recognition for actually doing his job and doing it well at that. There's just too many teen employees standing around not doing anything or even bothering to acknowledge if you need help and management doesn't seem to do anything about it. Pinstack is a place of entertainment for families and friends. They have bowling, a gaming area, full bar, restaurant and more! Reader you should know I am in my early 40's, have an aversion to physical activity and prefer to talk, drink while snacking on little teeny cute fruits and cheeses. Also I never know when I want to be adventurous and try something outside my comfort zone. My mood dictates what I will be up for. This place isn't right for a person to go to on a day they aren't feeling it. This wasn't my first visit to Pinstack. I've been here before with my adult kids, the hubs and my kids adult friends. During that visit we ate at the restaurant. The food was just blah to me. We played games. I've outgrown gaming so it didnt appeal to me. They did the tightrope act which I am too chicken sh*t for. I did manage to get up but loss my nerve. Needless to say I stared at everyone smiling from below. If I rate it it will be a 0 for sad face left alone person. We played laser tag. My first time actually. I've played paintball on acres of land. Laser tag is ok. For me it's too small. Hiding places are shared with other people. You'll also find kids crying and parents ignoring the kid to get each other. Also keep in mind if Rambo is playing you will not have a chance in hell. My military son killed me so many times. I just quit. He had a blast using his military training and tip top physique to pick off his family. I kinda got the feeling he enjoyed it too much and we might end up on ID. The other family members ran up behind him shooting at me too. They must hate me. If I had to rate that experience it would be a 2. We did more but I dont want to bore you. This last visit they said there was a 2 hour plus wait. So we got the VIP room. For almost $50 an hour you can go behind the doors into a not so special area. It looks the same as the rest of the lanes. One waiter on staff. He was slow. The VIP experience was no different except for the wait time. That's all. No wait time for us. Food was whatever. We ordered mozzarella sticks, avocado toast for the millennials, sliders, margarita flat bread, adult cheese sandwich and some weak painkillers. Expect a painful bill but not painkiller. It's whatever. So I don't care for it much. I LOVE seeing my kids smile. I love seeing my husband shake his booty before he throws the ball. My son is being deployed again for another long stretch. Most of all I love sitting next to him smack talking about his sister. Family is what really makes this place come to life for me. I will return again when they make me. Beautiful place, they spent a ton of money building this place out. The prices are actually pretty good, most everything is $9-$12 range. However, they are really lacking in management here. I don't blame the employees, they were getting totally ran over. I saw at least 10 customers come up to the bar to get drinks because their server had 7-10 tables each and MIA because they had half the place to cover. I heard one customer yelling about it's been 20 mins just to get a glass of water. They have a real problem with lack of staff and their staff needs training, a lot of it. This place for sure has very high turnover because the employees are worked to death, 2 bartenders helping 30-40 people at a bar & making drinks for the whole bar area, it just doesn't work. I placed an order for soup (it's pre-made) 30 mins later the bartender came over and said oh the soup is on the way. Stopped in to try out the lunch. Had the Steak Fajita Taco Salad. The food was excellent. Very tasty. Just felt for $12 it might have had a little more salad in the shell. The quantity of meat was just right. Service was acceptable; not great. It always perplexes me when you ask for water with lemon and the water arrives minus the lemon. Had to ask for lemon again and got to see it delivered to the wrong table by the server in training. The other server then retrieved the much coveted lemon and delivered them to me. Half the menu was 86ed not, because they didn't have the item but, because the kitchen staff was behind. They were out of most of the beers on tap on a weekend. Had a great time here on Saturday with friends. It was like a 2 hr wait to bowl, but the bartender closer to the lanes kept things entertaining. He was really nice, cracking jokes and just having fun at work. Which is great to see. He made us feel comfortable and he made perfect drinks! (really sad I can't remember his name, I think it was like Anthony or something) Once we got to the lane we had to flag a waiter down to get some service, that really sucked. However when we did get someone she was really nice and very helpful. Not much tentative but very sweet. After we were down bowling we played some arcade games, which most of them were broken and taking but the machine was not working. Super sad. The worst customer service experience I have had anywhere in 20 years. A month ago one of my 10 reps called to reserve 2 lanes for today Wed. Dec 7th for an end of year get together. The person on the phone said they don't take reservations but open at 11 and won't be a problem. We showed up a 11 and they said they were fully booked. After some frustrating discussions they said they could give us 1 lane but only 8 of our 11 could Bowl. We said fine. Then we bowl and our machine locks up twice. This caused us not to get our full hour. The whole time 10 lanes or more remained open. When our time ran out we asked for a half hour longer for free and they wouldn't do it. I asked to speak to manager Al. It was clear the unfriendly staff attitude stemmed for Al's poor customer service. I asked Al why we weren't able to use the open lanes for the past hour. He said they were booked at 1 for corporations. I work for one of the biggest pharma companies in US but OK...I explained we got there at 11 and all lanes have been open since 11. He said it's corporate policy to only allow one lane for walk ins. So if I had just split my group in 2 and said we were different parties then we could have received 2 lanes.I told Al this is a stupid policy and you could have made more money and pleased a customer. He said he would give us another half hour free I said don't bother and he replied with a snarky remark, "good," he obviously has a small man's complex and has never been taught to help solve customer problems. I will NEVER come back and I will let the other 10 managers and over 100 reps in the DFW area to never use your place ever again. I will also reach out to the cities where you have places and tell those managers as well. I have already posted on your LinkedIn page where I have 16,000 followers and will do the same on my Facebook page! Dumb, dumb, dumb! I am now responding to Al's completely ridiculous response. No Al YOU did NOT do everything within reason to give us a good experience. You are a complete moron! You had over 10 lanes open for 2 hours and wouldn't let us rent any of them to satisfy our needs. So when you say you do everything within reason to help us and work with us you are just lying. It wasn't within reason to allow us to use another lane that wasn't being used for 2 hours? You are literally an idiot. You need a course in customer service and satisfaction. You also had an attitude with me when you said, "let me tell you how this works here." That's not how a manager talks to an upset customer. You apologize for not coaching your people to figure out solutions. The solution here was simple! This place is fun but a little pricey for an arcade and bowling alley. Make sure you set up any party over 10 way in advance and do an event package. We called with a party of twenty thinking we could make a reservation to at least eat, based on website, but they won't reserve for parties over 10 and they don't do reservations on the weekend. Something the website doesn't share. I'm giving them a two because accommodating large groups at a place like this should be easier. When you are bringing a large amount of customers into a place, your level of customer service and accommodations should never go down. **update - after their response, just want to clarify - IN ADVANCE! don't go with a party or group if you aren't a planner. This place has certainly not got the staff that cares about the guest and guest experience nor do they care about money because they sure are missing a lot of it if that's the treatment the guest get when they come in. So sad to give it this low of a review. I know that today is Black Friday, but being in retail/ service industry for many years, everywhere I worked was staffed ready for a crowd. Today was our first time, and I will not be back. We spent 20 plus min waiting on each drink, the food was cold and AWFUL (and $50 for the Deluxe platter). Our server so great but overwhelmed. I could hardly swallow the sliders because of how dry, we didn't get salsa for our chips, and were given only bev naps for napkins when we asked. For what we don't today I am very disappointed UPDATE so thankful that management reached out to see what they could do. Found a few things out about the day including that a website told people they would be open an hour earlier than planned. After speaking to the manger we will go back for another try to check it out. It's nice to feel like someone cares when you are just one of thousands to visit a place. We arrived to find the lanes completely booked had an hour wait so we decided to eat. 25 min wait for chips and salsa that only came after we asked if the forgot us. 15 mins later we asked if they had forgotten our mozzarella sticks. Bad service; servicer take more than 10 minutes to greet you, or don't come at all and you have to go to the bar. It was my husband's birthday and our first time going there to play bowling with a reservation. I called weeks prior, no answer left a voicemail. Called again and dial for operator so I could talk to somebody. They got me a manager to speak to which told me that I had to reserve the lanes online because a private space is a lot more expensive...waited til Friday morning, reserved 2 lanes ($225.16 for Gral lanes, which only includes 6 pairs of shoes per lane, would have been almost $300 for VIP lanes, the private room is somewhere around $800!). Arrived on Saturday and get our 2 lanes, I asked for a server so we can get food and drinks ordered, area is crowed and floors are sticky. One server comes and gets our drinks ordered, another server comes and tells us that she is a server for lane 6 and the server with the white shirt is our server for lane 5, we get our food ordered with the server with the black shirt and started playing. The server with the white shirt comes later and tells us "I don't know what you got going on here but my manager told me that you only get one server!" like we know how things work here? or ordered 2 servers? or I manage your service?! That is not my responsibility to figure out or work, we come here to celebrate a birthday and have a nice time. Food arrived a bit cold, we got our drinks. The server that got our food order did not come back to check on us or ask if we needed anything, I had to ask the guy that brought the food for silver ware and plates, I asked the other server and she acted like it wasn't her deal, the customer service is at a low level here. Then later the server with the white shirt came to tell us that we have 6 minutes left to play and we needed to move to the tables behind us. We moved and wanted our check since we had no desire to stay longer. When the time came to check out, the server said a manager will come over to talk to us after we told her that we were not happy with the service (It didn't happen). Looks like she got the server with the black shirt (Food server) to finally bring our food bill separately which she came to us with an attitude and put the ticket with the total on the table, my husband asked for a breakdown not just the total bill, she came back with it and we paid. I will say after this experience we will not come back or recommend this place, it is expensive for what you get, the quality of the service is poor which does not justify the cost and when you add "attitude" to the equation it is simply not worth it and it could ruin your event. read more

I love this place! It is so much fun. There is so much to do! I enjoy the bowling, laser tag, games, etc. The drink prices are a bit high, but that's to be expected at such a nice establishment. It is very clean in there too. My only complaint/concern is the lack of customer service in there. It seems like a lot of high school kids work there, so that makes sense! My era was a bunch of raging waters, golf and stuff, showboat, speed or tilt arcades. This place is a modern edge, smash all the amusement with bowling into one indoor space so that you don't have to go anywhere else because it's hot as heck in TX. Yes... Smash all the kids in one place, one stop shop to your kids amoxicillin, motrin and acetaminophen. Sorry, i may seem debbie downer about this place, but paranoid as it may seem, enjoy the activities, give your kids the immunity, but dread the fact that mommy and daddy duties get tougher in 3 days.
