Located on busy Beacon Street near Cleveland Circle, this place has been around for decades, maybe 50 years. Street parking only. The MBTA green line is a stone's throw away. Open from 10am til 1 or 2am, this is not a fancy place. Pino's does take out and delivery with a modest $3 charge and no minimum. The food is as GREAT as it was 30 years ago when I lived in Brookline. The pizza offered is either thin crust or thick crust. The thin crust pizza is amazing. The dough is just right and there is a virtually flawless blend of sweet tomato sauce and cheese. They don't skimp on the cheese. A huge choice of toppings with plenty of vegetarian options and meats, including BBQ chicken. Slices are only $2.75 and are the size of Texas. You can order meals like spaghetti and meatballs or chicken parm, etc for $12.99 or so which seems like a lot for a pizza joint. I will try one of them the next time I order takeout as so far, everything we have ordered is delicious. Pino's has amazing subs. We split a sausage with peppers and onions that melted in your mouth. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge: about $8 for a large sub. This is a busy place yet they are highly efficient. You place your order at the counter, pay, and they let you know when it is ready. There is not a lot of space to wait so most folks sit at a table to wait if there is one available. I ordered a three topping pizza Sicillian style which after taxes is about $24. My girlfriend walked there to pick it up on foot about a quarter mile in the rain each way with no umbrella and it so turned out she was $1.25-$1.50 short of the total which was over $3 of the cost of the 3 topping Sicillian. No Pino's employee offered her compensation, they did not cut her any slack whatsoever, nor did they call my cell. I have ordered probably 15-20 different Sicillian pizzas. Her offer was: 4 slices of clearly aged plain cheese pizza slices. Does lack of genorosity & consideration speak over quality? Just okay. The Sicilian pizza is good, but $3 extra per topping is just downright greedy. Antipasto is not good, I get that it's just a hodgepodge of Italian-y ingredients, but it's mostly carrot, lettuce, and big cherry tomatoes with barely any olives or pepperoncini peppers. Wait. I am disappointed and shocked that I have yet to review Pino's Pizza. As someone who grew up in the area, Pino's is a staple. Seriously, I feel like it was its own major food group in my diet during my high school years (...I am still working it off at the gym). I don't remember ordering anything from here that I didn't like. The subs were always good - depending on how hungry you are, it could be two meals. The pizza is greeeeeeeeeeat - a little greasy, but what (great) pizza isn't? The crust is not too thin and has the perfect amount of crunch. The Greek salad also never disappoints - I always ask for a side pita because whatever #carbs. Whether you're ordering delivery or from the counter, everyone is always really friendly. They use to have good pizza but lately this place flat out sucks. Every online order has been wrong and the quality has been terrible. The people that answer the phone are incredibly rude and just hang up on people if they are busy / closing soon. I placed an uber eats order and they didn't make it and gave the driver a hard time. I raved about this place with a fellow jersite and we grabbed a pie one night... we were told 20 minutes and got there in 15 so we walked in... they gave a pie- that was COLD. Pretty obvious they gave us the pizza that was meant for someone else. Ok so stay away from ordering pie's on the phone to go. I walked in one day and felt like only having a slice... so I order it and went to pay and there is apparently a credit card minimum... which is against almost every card processor agreements. I was about to walk out until someone was nice enough and insisted on buying me a slice. After craving some pizza, we Yelp's this place and it did not disappoint. I'm from NY and have lived in Italy, so I like my pizza. My husband and I started with mozzarella sticks and fries to share because we were starving. Their fries are above average than normal fries and their mozzarella sticks were larger than most. Both were delicious. After we waited about 10 minutes after finishing our apps, our large pizza came out. We loved the timing, no complaints there at all. Our pizza was the beautiful pizza that everyone dreams about getting just like in the movies. The taste was even better than it liked. We took half home because a large is 8 slices. I wish we could take the cooks and owner and establishment back to Cali with us. If you live close by, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have been spending allot of time in Boston and wanted pizza. I had had a slice of pizza there a few weeks before so I decided to go back, one because the gentleman behind the counter was so pleasant. I ordered from Yelp, which took m to GrubHub to process my order and charge my card. I went in to pick up my order. This time the guy behind the counter got a bit huffy, when I arrived he said "it was a GrubHub order" like it was not important enough. He also became agitated because I asked for a receipt- he said no, so I asked if I could please take a picture? He gave it to me, and in a very not so nice tone, said "you got extra cheese and they didn't charge you" Let me say, the pizza was great! And I would have gave 5 stars, but the for the rude guy behind the counter, I give it 4. How have I never reviewed Pino's!? This was our absolute favorite place for 7 years (16 for my husband) when we lived in the area. Even after moving a few towns away, we compare all other pizza to Pino's, and while some have come close, none have been as good. I'm bummed to read the recent bad reviews... We ordered from here for the first time in a year. It was still tasty, but the sauce tasted different and the crust seemed harder. It wasn't as amazing as I remember, unfortunately. Granted, it was a 20-minute ride home, so I wasn't surprised that it wasn't hot (it came fresh out of the oven, so that's not their fault). But I don't think it's worth the drive there and back when there are good places in town. Still giving it 5 stars though because maybe it's better if you eat in or don't live so far away. One of my personal favorite pizza shops. Been coming here regularly since I was a kid The setting: No frills pizzaria. Its great. Spacious booths to accomodate the bazillions of hungry BC kids. Photos of local youth soccer teams and all the clichés. Huge fluerescent sign out front has become a landmark of Cleveland Circle The staff: Mostly friendly, and just pushy enough without being rude older dudes with a variety of accents. Again, classic neighborhood pizzaria. I don't care how many times you've been there, unless you work on the T next door, they're not going to remember your name kid, there's a million other students around and they ALL look like you. I love it. The Food!: Star of the show. Some of the BEST pizza in Boston. The balance between the just salty enough, chewy but not gooey cheese, and the near perfect semi-sweet sauce MAKES the pie. Perfect, and i mean PERFECT ratio. Crust is delicious, but can sometimes be a little chewy for my liking. I get a large cheese at LEAST once a week, and im telling you, its the same damn pie everytime. CONSISTENCY!!! I haven't done too much research into the rest of the menu but ill speak to what I know. I was thoroughly impressed with the meatball, and even more so with the "panini". Ok, its not a panini, but a caprese sub with prosciutto. But gosh darn if it isnt a killer. Fresh tom, mozz, perfect amount of basil, and surprisingly nice prosciutto. Knockout. The cajun fries kind of suck :(. Decent portion, which can be said for the entire menu!), kinda gnarly spicing, but just a crappy, crappy fry. Step it up guys. Final verdict: Awesome. Pino's is a consistent, delicious, moderately priced pizza joint, that over the years has developed into an local institution. It's not Santarpios, but its not trying to be. Run by people who do not mess around and are quick with their words, Pino's Pizza is the place to go if you've stepped off the C/D lines of the T at Coolidge Corner. New York style pizza is pretty good and priced decent by the slice and by the pie. It's overrun by money-strapped Boston College students due to its proximity to the school but manages to quickly cycle through customers due to its limited seating. Get plain cheese or another classic, it's better than some of the more topping-centered pizzas that they sell. There is an array of sandwiches and other items, but pizza is the way to go. There are plenty of drinks. One bite, everyone knows the rules. Rating: 7.2 TL;DR: Decent NY style pizza, proximity to Boston College and Green Line for the T gives it foottraffic. read more

Pino's is el yums. They have GREAT Sicilian slices which is good for me as I like them better than the round ones. The people there are always so nice to me. I went to Brookline High and the school system decided that it was more cost efficient to do it this way so everyday, the Pino's guy would show up at our school with 20 or more boxes of pizza and it would be offered for lunch everyday. Yum. Unfortunately, school lunches will set you back $3 and all you'll get is the slice of pizza. That was brought to the school 4 hours ago.
