Wow is all I can say about this food! This is one of the most genuine Nicaraguan experiences of food you can have! Also do not forget to go past the food area and there's a little small shop in the back we can get authentic drinks glassed bottled Coke and more traditional Hispanic food and treats. They are not stingy with the food here and give you more than you could ask for. The great culture encaved with the shifts are great. The only downfall is the outside eating area usually smells like P while you're eating which is not very tasteful and could definitely ruin the experience. Take it to go or right across the street where there is an open venue and enjoy this little piece of heaven in the heart of Miami. My god it was so good. Best Hispanic food iv ever had. I got the carne asada and it was out of this world. The steak tasted like actual steak from a fine dine restaurant, not just some meat. The plantains were perfect and the fried cheese, don't get me started. The rice was tasty and just the whole plate in a whole was literally the best iv had. It's on a Main Street in an ok neighborhood so atmosphere is leas than desirable but the food is good and they are open 24/7 which is great for late night options. Overhyped. Overpriced. Pinolandia seems promising when you make the huge line that wraps around the corner of the hustle and bustle of little Havana but don't be fooled by it. I was more than excited for it since I saw a lot of diverse groups of people getting the holy grail of a "carne asada" meal. Doctors, gym rats, kids and people in general following the lead of the tasty smell of the meat on the grill. The line moved pretty efficiently, when you get to the front you get to chose your meal. I got the rice and beans with the sweet plantains and the fried cheese to go along with my "carne asada". They give you two pieces of meat medium well two ladles of rice, greasy plantains and rubbery cheese. All for $10 right? No. $15. Cheese is extra and don't ask how much because they just shrug and charge you anyway. I went side their little store after and bought a typical Nicaraguan drink called Cacao. $6 for the large. So a meal for one person is now $20 in little Havana. You expect heaven in your mouth. Again, no. The rice, beans and cheese are expected to be greasy at the end it is "fritanga" but this was a disaster. There was a puddle of grease. I decided to try and and regret every bite. 15 minutes later I was bloated to no end. The only reason why I'm giving it two stars was because the cacao was utterly good. The mix of chocolate and cinnamon with milk were actually heavenly. Im still on the quest for amazing Fritanga here in miami. Wish me luck. read more

We flew back into Miami and as we had a twelve hour layover, we beelined straight for Pinolandia. We hadn't slept in over 24 hours but our priority was still Pinolandia prior to napping. We've been in Phoenix for the past two years, which honestly has a better ethnic food scene than Miami, but the one thing they're missing is a good, cheap fritanga. Pinolandia is the epitome of a hole-in-the-wall, and the food quality is just what you would expect in the middle of the American city which goes by the nickname of "Capitol of Latin America." Just get a large plate of dark rice with beans, plantains, chunks of steak, squeeky cheese, and the ever-present salad-in-a-bag, mix it all together, and pour the provided spicy red salsa all over the place. This is the worst establishment I have ever ordered from. The past thee times I ordered online have been the worst experiences I ever had with a restaurant. The first time I ordered online they never delivered my food and said they were backed up with deliveries. Second time the same issue, ordered online and called after an hour of no delivery to tell me they don't have a delivery person. Right now the same issue I ordered, called and spoke to some and told me to text the order and it's been 1hour 45 minutes and I haven't received my order. I'm trying to help a local business during these pandemic but this place needs to be shut down. The owner needs to know that they will lose customers because of their staff not meeting demands. read more

This place is a great dive. It's a little bit intimidating for the non-Spanish speakers but fear not. It's open 24/7 so it's always a great option for late night munchies. This is the type of place where no matter how much money I make in the future I will keep on coming here, you will literally see me in a 100k car getting my Gallo pinto and meat with cheese (which is extra) but everything comes out to less than $9 dollars. You have to go to the little shop inside to get things to drink and it has all kinds of sweets and treats. They have a good selection of natural juices and the large one cost only $3.50. They have recently bought the lot on the corner for parking so you don't have to park anymore on the street. They do accept all types of cards but there is a $7 dollar minimum and where they sell the drinks it's a $10 dollar minimum. The food is always amazing, they are very reasonably priced, & good portions! Honestly they might be my favorite place for eating fritanga (Nicaraguan Food) in Miami! Sometimes long lines but usually moves quickly! The food is always fresh! My only bad review is regarding a female The last time I went there I had a bad experience with one of the women servers! There was 2 female Servers & I had a gentleman right before me who asked for fresh Gallo pinto bc it was the last bit of the tray & they specifically brought out more new rice; as he was waiting she tried to take my order; I just said I would wait for the new rice as well! Really if new rice was coming out anyways why would I want the bottom of tray? Then when rice came out 1 of them took his ordered & he just casually asked for a few extra fried plantains & the girl serving him gave him a few extra ones with no problem & at no extra cost; it was just a few & he had only ordered 1 serving with rice, meat, fried plantains & 1 fried cheese); I was right behind him with the 2nd server & ordered the same exact thing as him but 2 whole servings plus 3 fried cheeses; I also asked for a few extra plantains in one of my 2 orders (just as he did) & my server literally told me she couldn't give me any extra plantains at all that I would have to order extra side order of the plantains themselves; so I ended up having to buy a side order of fried plantains & obviously had to pay extra for it! It's not a big deal but how can they just do that to a frequent customer & like at 2 AM so it's not like they were super full or running low on plantains! Hole-In-the-wall type of restaurant , with some outdoor seating and a gift store on the side. Word of advise come here with time and hungry, lines tend to be extremely long at all times and portions are decently sized. Food is delicious steak is juicy and tender, sides are great too, mostly the fried cheese. For about $12 you get two sides a salad and your steak, which it's being cooked next to you while you wait in line. Trust me you would be completely satisfied since one order should be enough for two people. We also tried the cacao drink which is sold on the little store on the side, however I wouldn't personally get anything else from that store, it looks like someone hasn't clean anything in there in a while. I felt like I was venturing off onto the New World as I stepped into Pinolandia. It may have been because I was leaving my safe space of Shenandoah to go to this place where I did not speak the language (Spanish) or had to walk a long way (10 minutes) because there was no parking lot, but boy, was I tired when I got there. But good thing they make you walk because the food here tends to be rich and heavy. Anyhow, if I had to describe Pinolandia in a few words, it would be: "hole in the wall fritanga" But it's holes in the walls like this that make me love Miami. I had to wait in a long line because this place is remarkable and has long lines for lunch and a steamy counter of goods waiting to be displayed guarded with a glass case. The glass tends to fog up, so I couldn't see everything that was there until I was a few inches away from it. I ordered gallo pinto, maduros, carne asada and a slice of fried cheese. The gallo pinto was crispy, and you could taste a tinge of oil. The maduros were juicy, and the carne asada was perfection. There was a good portion of it (three strips), and the fried cheese was good until it dried up and had a rubbery feel as you chewed it up after cooling. It was definitely worth the $8. I will definitely come here again, but not frequently because the food here tastes rich. They offer you a lot of food, but not as much as Yambo (which is maybe a good thing). I highly recommend you get a side of "crema" for your rice. It adds something special to it. read more

Interesting place here. Not the cleanest building, tables, floor, but I did appreciate all the ladies who were serving food had their hair pulled back with hair nets. Not many vegetarian options and the business constantly spreads smog that sticks to the surrounding area residents balconies/roofs and seeps into the air vents 24/7.
