Great pizza. Lousy service. Very chaotic pickup experience. Nobody seems to run the show.

Pink's is some good pizza. Pizza by the slice, $3.50 a slice. $0.50 per topping and they don't skimp...I got lots of veggies for my $1.00 extra! It was quick, the service was super friendly. My first experience was around July 2013 they had a friendly atmosphere with great customer service. Recently I stopped by after 2 years and the customer service was poor the but food still was how I remembered it to be. Cons: I ordered a wings which comes as a 5 piece and I received 4. I brought it to an employees attention and they made me a fresh batch after arguing that one of the wings was 2 separate wings but it was just one big wing. Then a woman and her child came in to pick up an order and there was no one to be found. She waited a good 5-10 minutes before she had to go behind the counter to flag someone down to be served. I witnessed this as a guest who dined in; I couldn't understand why no one stayed up front to make sure the guest was taken care of. Used to be my fav pizza in the heights area until the new management and new website that won't let you tip upon delivery. Had a night that my pizza never showed up and I called them after over two hours and they had the gaul to ask..."do you still want your pizza?" No! I don't want dinner.... are you really asking me that? I was a loyal customer, but I'm losing patience in a hurry. Hope they can get their act together. read more

Also one of my favorite pizza places. They are rather pricey but worth every dime once you start eating it. It's one if those places that looks mediocre and are pricey and you say you are not going but b4 you can get going out of your mouth the car is in park and you are already in the door ordering. Hey, it's a pizza place. I have low standards for pizza, just make it taste nice and give me a smile as you hand it to me. They accomplished that. I will say, they forgot one ingredient when I ordered on the phone (hence the lack of a star), but otherwise, no complaints. Pizza was good. The interior is actually kind of cool to take a date and sit down and chat. There's not a lot of pizza places left in the World where it's a little hangout area. Now, the place is pretty expensive. However, one slice is usually a good amount calorie-wise, so I don't mind ordering one at a time. It's about $6 for a fully loaded slice, and I'm usually content with that and a can of soda. This was my first time here.the prices are a little high by it was worth it. I tried the "This Guy" pizza. Overall the pizza was amazing and the staff was friendly. The only downside was that it wasn't a lot of tables or space if you chose to eat there. read more

The pizza was just okay. I order a personal size for myself and I asked for red onions and garlic to be added on my pizza. They charged me $1.50 for each topping. I got white onions instead of red and no garlic at all. Plus, I had ordered it via Ubereats so couldn't take it back either. Poor service! read more

OMG nasty greasy pizza, never again! Last time it was good, this time was like it was from a totally different place. There was so much grease that the box was wet half way up the sides with grease! read more

I'm a fan. I ordered togo through a third party app and the pizza was a little cold but still really good. The pizza is hand tossed on the thinner side and has a thin layer of amazing tasting cheese which is a nice change. It has a chewy type of crust, I really enjoyed, you could tell it is homemade. Only complaint is I wish the pizza was a little cheaper so I order more often but good pizza. I recommend! read more

Ordered 3 slices to-go, waited 40 minutes and asked how much longer it would be...the guy behind the counter said it would be a few more minutes. I saw three slices behind him and asked if those could be our order. He pretended to check the tag and said no. 5 minutes later another employee walked out and asked if we were waiting for the same 3 slices that had been sitting there. He literally said "sorry" and handed me 3 slices of cold pizza. Disappointing first and LAST experience. read more

This used to be a great place and was my go to place for pizza delivery. But over time the quality has gone down. Now the pizzas, if they get delivered at all, are delivered late, cold, and soggy. It is too bad because I loved their pizzas and wings. But after the last few deliveries have shown up later and later and it is impossible to get through to someone on the phone, I finally just had to refuse delivery of the last round. The service is now terrible and they are extremely unreliable. The pizza is good if it is fresh, but it has been a long while since I have seen one of those. read more

Very good pizza. Crust is thin and soft. Very friendly service when you walk in The door. It is 3.50 a slice plus extra for toppings. This pizza is much better than the chains. They also pile on the cheese which makes it slightly greasy but very good. I would recommend this pizza. read more

I've had many great pizza all over the US. Pieous Pizza in Austin is probably the best in Texas. Pink's Pizza is the best I've had in Houston. The dough is pretty darn good, which is the important part of a pizza. I'm pretty OK about $18.00 pizza since I've paid for $30.00 pizza for the same size in San Francisco. The tomato sauce is a tad sweet but not too much. The inside is really cool, I will be a regular for some time. Glad I've found this place when new to the Heights area. read more

Good Pizza at a decent price. I would choose Pink's Pizza over any other pizza take out place in town. They always come out the same and never over/under cooked. I enjoy the ability to make your own pizza from toppings to dough type, you can cater your pizza to any flavor you are looking for. I have had an issue here and there with delivery but they are always apologetic and may throw in a 20oz soda to make amends. Will continue ordering my Za from Pink's Pizza read more

"Honey, can we sell our new house and buy a shack in Garden Oaks?" We were regular pick up customers at another popular Heights area pizza place for 7+ years. 10 days ago we moved to a new house north of 43rd and outside their delivery zone. Seeing as Pinks is our only option now, we picked up a large sausage pizza from there and I'm pretty sure it will be the last time. Disclaimer, for much of that time at our old favorite pizza place we ordered a wheat crust, which isn't an option at Pinks , but I have had the regular crust there so I can compare it to that. On my first bite--hell, even sniff--I was immediately brought back to the Papa John's pizzas I stupidly thought were so great 15 years ago in college . There were maybe 3 pieces of Italian sausage on each slice, and the flaccid crust was almost nonexistent. (And some reviewer I saw said they wished they had a THIN crust??!) We always got two meals out of a large pizza, even once our toddler started cutting in on our pizza consumption. We both quickly realized that two pieces wouldn't be enough to fill us up. I make a pretty good homemade pizza, and I'm pretty sure I'll be making large batches of dough for the freezer from here on out. What a disappointment! read more

Absolute WORST service we've ever experienced ever. After nearly one hour and 40 minutes my husband left with NO PIZZA. It was World Series game 6 so it was a busy night but there is no excuse to wait nearly 2 hours with no food. My husband worked 12 hours, missed half the game and mind you he was picking up dinner because I am 2 weeks post op from a major surgery and on bedrest. So it's game 6 and no dinner for us at nearly 8:30 PM. Pinks we were long time customers but never again. And I will advise all friends to stay away from this establishment. read more

One of the better pizzas you can order in the area. I like that you can dine-in, carry out, order delivery, or order by the slice. It almost makes up for some of the worst customer service ever. The staff is very unfriendly and makes you feel like you are annoying them by wanting to order. Every time I decide to try them again I am disappointed that I did. Pink's makes a solid 4 star pizza, maybe even some 5 star pizzas (like the Freshetta). But I just don't think it's worth the price. The 16 inch pizza is over $20, and if you order half of one specialty topping and half of a different one, they up charge you another $1.50. Add tax and tip, and that's pretty pricey for takeout pizza, in my opinion. I do believe the ingredients are fresh and high quality, so I would certainly go back if I were spending someone else's money, like catering an event for work or something. We came in for slice of pizza, and the cashier talked us into getting a whole pizza. We waiting 30 mins for the pizza. When we did finally get our food, I was highly disappointed. So not worth the wait. As we sat there waiting, the delivery guy was putting toppings on the pizza he was going to delivery without gloves!! He was scratching his head and picking at his ear. We love Pink's Pizza. We get it in Midtown all the time and the ingredients are always fresh and the pizza is always hot when it's delivered. However, we just found out that our local Pink's Oak Forest Location on N. Shepherd Dr is suddenly not delivering to us (In Oak Forrest) anymore. Why the sudden change? We are less than 3 miles away from the location, and we always tip well. We are disappointed in the lack of customer service. read more

Pink's isn't playing around with their prices! They expect to get paid for their pizza. The quality is good, though. I didn't know the two pies I ordered last week (my first time ever eating Pink's) would be covered in black pepper. That was my only complaint, other than the crazy prices. And next time, I'll be prepared to shell out some money and I'll know to ask that they skip the pepper. Otherwise, it was great. Way better than ordering from some chain restaurant. It's still second to Star Pizza, though. No one in the city is yet to top their deep dish! read more
