I've ordered from both the Heights and newer West Gray location. Both have small interiors with a few places to sit. I hardly ever see anyone actually sitting down and eating inside. I'm not sure when their busiest hours are, but it seems like pizzas are usually ready in about 15 minutes. You can order one of the specialty pizzas or choose from 28 topping to make a combination of your own. From my experience, Pink's does not skimp on the toppings, especially the cheese (which is a good thing) Their crust isn't crispy, nor is it soggy. It's somewhere in the middle. The only specialty pizza I've tried is the "Lazy Lasagna" (Beef, Italian Sausage, Ricotta and Mozzarella cheeses, 12" - $17) It was, good but expensive for a 12" pizza. With 20 specialty pizzas and 28 toppings, there is bound to be something for everyone. My only problem is with the price. It can be a little expensive, especially if you start adding on premium toppings ($2.25 each). My usual order (12", cheddar cheese, and pepperoni), comes out to around $15. If you aren't in the mood for pizza, (why go to a pizza place?) Pink's also serves sandwiches and pasta. And as others have mentioned, try the "crack brownie." read more

Based on one delivery, I'm going with 4 stars. Maybe update higher or lower as I order more from them or set foot in their actual storefront. They brought the pizza by faster than any other food delivery has in the area and the pizza was good! Low key, simple, and great pizza. Exactly what I expect out of a neighborhood pizza place. My friend and I had a craving for pizza one night. We were originally going to go somewhere else but they had closed. Driving down the street we saw the Pink's Pizza sign and made the decision to finally try it, after passing it up so many times. We were the only customers in the shop, but it seems like this place does get a lot of delivery orders. The cashier was friendly and answered any questions we had. My friend and I ordered a 12 inch Mediterranean pizza to share and I ordered a slice of cheese pizza. The total came out to about $22 dollars, not too bad for two hungry people! They started up our pizza's right away, and we got it about 10 minutes later. There are napkins and plates near the counter if you choose to dine in. The pizzas were hot, fresh, and smelled absolutely delicious. If you get the cheese pizza slice- be aware- it's huge! Cheesy, tomatoe-y, and a good, savory crust. I tried the mediterannean pizza, which came with olives, onions, chicken, and tomatoes- and enjoyed it as well. Since relocating to Houston almost two years ago, I have been on a quest to find good pizza. I had heard that Pink's Pizza is the best pizza in town, so we decided to pick up a pie to go. The menu made it seem like we couldn't go wrong with any of the pizzas--they all sound delicious! We settled on a This Guy, which comes with chicken, prosciutto, sausage, spinach, goat cheese, mushroom, and tomato. It seemed like it would be packed with flavor. It took 40 minutes for one pizza to be ready for takeout on a Wednesday night. I've only waited that long for deep dish. When I finally got my first bite, I was disappointed. Honestly, the flavors of so many different toppings didn't stand out, and I am not a huge fan of their sauce. I will say they got their crust right, but that's about it. When you walk in, you notice a very young and vibrant crowd, both sitting at tables and behind the counter. When I walked in last, one employee literally sang a welcome to me. You really can't find anything like this environment anywhere around town. You can order an entire pizza, or by the slice. They bake everything fresh, and the difference is noticeable. Right down to the mozzarella cheese, you can tell that everything they make is fresh. I've only ever had one issue with an order, which was a pizza order that should have taken 30 minutes never arriving but still getting charged to my card. I have a hard time with this place. Everytime I look at the menu I don't know what to order. There are so many great options available. To that end, I'm certain Pink's has locked me in as a customer. My first attempt was the Santa Monica, I suspect given the general weirdness and deliciousness of this pizza, that their other tamer creations while be just as inticing. Given gorgonzola might not be for everyone, I'm a blue cheese whore and can't get enough. Props for putting in on pizzas though, I'm certain I'm not the only one that gets down on this. I would prefer the crust to be crispier, but i wouldn't say it's soggy like some people review it. I'm also in a toss up wether they should charge $20 for a 16". Luigi's does it for $5 less basically. Luigi's also doesn't have the assortment of toppings though either. It's gonna be tough picking a pizza place in Midtown from here on out. There's something magical about a really good slice. Doesn't take a lot...nothing fancy, no exotic ingredients, just quality dough, a good red sauce, and perfectly charred cheese. Pinks has what daddy needs. I have to admit I do find some of the other reviews amusing, talking about it being bland. If you can't appreciate letting the flavors of your ingredients shine, and rather opt for overly salted and seasoned pizza, Dominos delivers. I think the seasoning is great and well balanced and the quality ingredients sing. But maybe that's just me. If you REALLY want a nice flavor punch, grate some Pecorino Romano over your slice. We used Amazon Prime to order a 16" Supremo for dinner. Easy order, perfectly cooked, very fresh, delivered steaming hot in 35 minutes from order placement. Our other go-to pizza house never asks for less than 1 hour delivery and, while good pizza, is delivered somewhere between warm and cold. This will be our new go-to pizza maker. I ordered one 16" pizza and breadsticks at 7:39pm; it is now 9:04pm and I am still pizza-less. Also, I live literally 0.5 miles away. Unbelievable - never again. I've bumped up my original score from a one to a three. After I complained to Pinks on the phone, the manager was super nice and understanding given how hangry I was. Our pizza did take over an hour to arrive and was lukewarm, but management sent over a second order in under 30 minutes and comped both pizzas. Additionally, their marketing department reached out to me to offer me a gift certificate. We are in the middle of the virus "scare" and many small businesses are struggling, begging for business. I could have easily gone home to eat, instead I stopped in to get a pizza. I thought I was helping out a local business. Without even asking what I was interested in, the front counter person just barks out "we're closed". Slightly confused, I answered that their brightly lit sign that said "open" did not indicate that. Thinking I wouldn't hear, I got a snarky, under the breath snap back of "maybe you should try checking out hours before coming in". Really?! That's how we are handling this? I ordered two slices of CHEESE pizza and It took 20 minutes, they had actually forgotten that I was sitting there waiting for them. So the irony is I found Pink's through Yelp, right? Now... I'm a pizza lover. Might as well call me an addict. I needed a fix this weekend and Pink's came thorugh in the clutch. I don't think I've tasted a pizza with New York style and CPK (California Pizza Kitchen for the short bus riders) creativity. When it comes to me and the places I eat, I have a tendency to like places that are out of the ordinary and have a sense of indiduality. I just hate that I couldn't find it at first (I'ma blame the GPS on that one). When I got there I noticed the concert posters. But immediately taking my attention away was a nice welcome. I look again at a guy eating a slice and this... was... a big... slice!! So I ordered a large 1/2 That Guy and 1/2 The Big Sleep (it was me and my girlfriend). Never thought I'd like goat cheese on a pizza but this was some legit, good as heck pizza!! The pie came out good and fresh and the aroma just had me salivating before I got into it good. This was the first time in over 20 years of eating pizza that I was forced to fold a slice in order to keep my toppings off my plate (not that it helped... lol). They miss a star for forgetting my garlic bread (though I was not charged, I did tell the marijuana induced hippie girl who answered the phone my order twice) though what they lack in professionalism they make up in pizza goodness. Not only was the pizza fast, fast, fast, it was cooked correctly and (like Star Pizza) they know the true meaning of Canadian Bacon. They make the grade for friendly on delivery, and the only thing that would have made the docked star come back would have been if they carried 2-Liters of good ol' fashioned Coca-Cola. Honestly, how can you be a pizza joint and not carry 2-Liters, the mark-up and margin is sweet on these. Cooked to pizza perfection, my pie arrived with a smile, a friendly driver, and under the 45 minutes quoted (they showed in 22 minutes, and the only reason I was aware was due to the fact that I was trying to get the food in time for Big Love, my current HBO favorite TV show). So, alas, I got to watch fun Mormon hijinks - polygamy and all - while enjoying my scrumptious concoction. I normally do not do the listed pizzas at a place - I always create my own because I feel that challenges them and it lets me see if they can handle it. I purposely do the "half on this, a quarter on that" toppings on my first outing to ensure accuracy, then I go normal on the next order. They did not disappoint. Though the pot-smoking girl who answered the phone sounded like she needed to be working at High Times as opposed to working at Pink's, she got the pie right - and that counts for everything. My suggestion for their pizza-by-the-slice business: 1 - I don't consider a "slice" of pizza something to be shared, therefore they should actually make the slices smaller. Still big, like New York, but not the ridiculous size they offer it in. 2 - Get rid of the cheesy, and probably costly, boxes that are specially cut for a single slice of pizza. Paper plates inside brown paper bags work for tens of thousands of people every day in New York. I'm sure it would work here. 3 - Having saved all that money from making smaller servings and getting rid of the costly "slice size" to go boxes, lower the price. $5 bucks for a single slice of cheese pizza is ridiculous. I know Houston rent isn't that high and if you're worried about covering your costs, my guess is a slice priced at $2.50 for cheese would bring in a LOT more traffic and there you have supply and demand all solved. 4 - Stop burning the pizza. Came in here after leaving Aerosol Warfare, my Pnut and I were practically melting...... The place is very small, but cozy. I like what they did to the inside of this place, there's a magnetic wall on one side with a mini basketball hoop, which my pnut enjoyed, but i was really afraid that he was going to dunk a little too hard. The people behind the counter, very nice, not at all snobbish hipsters like i have heard, yes they were all tattoo'd out with crazy colored hair, but that's what I liked about them. It actually reminded me of a small pizza joint in the Union Square called Blondies, if your ever in SF, go to Blondies! The pizza, it was really very good, I would say even better than Luigis! We ordered a plain cheese and pepperoni (thats all the Pnut likes to eat) It was good,he loved it, i loved it. It was 15.00 for a 12 inch pizza and 2 drinks, i guess thats about average.
