Last night I decided I needed to try one of these pizzas I have heard about. I ordered the 16" Double Down...a Texas sized pizza lovingly spread with alfredo sauce then generously topped with out of sight mozzarella cheese, rosemary chicken, tomato, spinach and roasted garlic. This pizza was so amazing. Had a wonderful flavor, like a pizza party in my mouth...a fancy pizza party, yet a party still. Buttery, delicious and not too rich, this pizza had me over-eating to my hearts content without any side effects from lesser establishments. read more

Best pizza in town. I prefer over Star. Cool atmosphere inside. Solid pizza every time. Only comparable place would be Frank's Pizza downtown. Love Pinks. I do wish it was easier to order though- the website isn't super user friendly and when I call I feel like I am on hold forever. But very tasty pizza. read more

This is one of the best pizza places in Houston. Customer service is excellent! I placed an order for delivery that was passed on to grubhub. The order was extremely late. We ordered a specific pizza online but received the wrong pizza when it was delivered. We called and they said "oh we were missing that pizza, we'll make the right one and deliver it". We just got a call that they are not going to honor our original order because it was done through Amazon. These pizzas are not cheap and how do we know they didn't give the Amazon deliverer the wrong pizza. Guess what, we've ordered pizzas from Pinks for years but will think twice about ever ordering pizza from them in the future. So very disappointing! read more

Being that I work down the street I figured what not better place to grab a quick bite. I ordered a salad, slice of pizza and drink. The two employees behind the counter, completely ignored me and were arguing. Some guy took my order, I got my salad and it looked a little wilted but I ate it I was so hungry. The pizza finally arrived and half of it was burnt on the edges all around the slice, it was okay, it was cheese only and it was quite greasy. I had higher expectations but now I know better read more

Pretty darn good pizza. The crust is new york style thickness with a bit of sweetness to it. Sauce tasted ok, but there wasn't enough to really taste it. The Italian Sausage was Excellent, though my wife would prefer smaller chunks. The sausage chunks were indeed big, but it didn't bother me. Quality of toppings was high, cheese quality was average. Delivery wait was 1.5 hours, but since I live 2.5 miles away, it was no biggie, I picked it up. Come to find out, I'm not even in their delivery area!! Is anybody else fed up with places that "deliver" but their area is less than 3 miles? I had to rate over 3 stars for the flavor of the crust and sausage. More of a 3.5 star place with prices that are just a tad too high. read more

Pink's is just a block from my house. I've been a frequent customer. I'm guessing the business changed owners. The prices went up - no, wait - the portions got smaller. The pizza is sometimes very tasty, sometimes flat, sometimes ice cold. They've taken other items like Italian dishes and sandwiches off the menu to focus on pizza. So why isn't the pizza better? When this place first opened on W. Gray in 2010, it was fabulous. Now, it's pot luck to see if you get a good pizza. Large pizzas aren't really large either. read more

Well first of all let me say I have NEVER felt the need to waste my time and make an account just to leave a review but my experience was so HORRIBLY that I have to do my duty and warn potential customers of the embarresment I experienced at this location . First of all the pizza was great so that is not the reason for the review, but the customer service was RIDICULOUS. I had the displeasure of being tended to by an older man who would seem to be the one in charge. OH boy was that a mess. I came in to this location for pizza Wednesday afternoon and the man attending me had an attitude, could barely keep his eyes open and slurred all of his words. He gave me incorrect change and when i ttied to correct him I could tell he was absolutely not there, and was falling asleep standing up. I mean seriously what the frick. HE WAS LEANINGNON THE COUNTER BARELY ABLE TO KEEP HIS EYES OPEN. The pizza was okay but I don't ever remember this place being so unprofessional. When I asked to speak to a manager I was informed that he was, when I asked an employee to give me the name and number of the owner they seemed frightened to do so and I was informed as a customer they could not give his number out, and I was told to write an email which I am sure would never be answered. It seems as though he has personal problems he can't keep separate from his job. There was another customer recording him and laughing in his face and he did not even notice! I plan on making the extra drive to their Washington or Heights location in the future because it's honestly disgusting to think someone THAT messed up is handling my food. read more

Pinks Pizza on W Gray & Montrose is a great pizza shop. I've taken out from their about 3 times this year and all 3 times they've been consistent. Horrible location. Terrible customer service. Food had hair in it. This pink pizza should be shut down immediately.

Pink's has some solid pizza! I have never had it before and ordered a custom large pizza. It did not disappoint. The crust was great and the pizza had good flavor. The breadsticks were pretty good but some were oddly and inconsistently shaped. It is also not the cheapest pizza in town but it's better than the national chains and you get what you pay for I suppose. read more

This was my first time visiting Pink's. I live all the way in Katy and I've been on a dairy free diet for about 3 months now. I heard that this place offers Dairy Free Mozzerella as well as gluten free dough so I HAD to try this! I got all the kids in the minivan, along with my husband and my mother in law (who has a gluten and dairy allergy so I knew this place was perfect for her) and we drove all the way to this location for a good 'old pizza night with the fam. We get to the location and my jaw dropped. "Umm...is that all the seating? Where are we going to sit??" There were 5 high top tiny tables with barstools in a tiny room and that was it. Well, since we drove all the way out there we had to eat so I sat the car seat on the floor and got the kids in order. They did have a basketball and tiny hoop which helped keep the kids busy while we waited on our order, but that was the only kid friendly thing about this place. We made our order- 1 - 12 in. supreme dairy free gluten free pizza, 1 - 16 in specialty pizza and 4 drinks = $55 plus tip. YIKES! But I'm so deperate for pizza at this point because of my dairy free diet that I don't even care, so, whatever! Now, while waiting on our order like I said earlier, the kids were playing "hoops" and we were trying to keep them from running in the kitchen. My oldest had to use the restroom (which there are no public restrooms here) and they actually had Snoop Dogg on in the dining area with all curse words still in tact, and it wasn't just one song. It was this way the whole time we were eating...NOT A KID FRIENDLY PLACE- JUST PICK IT UP TO GO! Now our food arrives, which my order was wrong, but hey I used to be a server, I've made mistakes, so they took it back and fixed it within 10 mins and I got it back, cool. Now came trying this yummyness. I could tell by looking at the pizza that they use Daiya cheese for their dairy free mozzerella. Which anyone who is dairy free knows it's one of the best dairy free cheeses you'll find in the stores so I was okay with that. The sauce though, OMG it is AMAZING! And I couldn't even tell that the crust was gluten free... It was sooo good!! My husband loved his normal people pizza as well. My advice to people wanting to check this place out. If you've got a family, don't dine in- just pick it up. I wish they'd open up a better location and have regulations on what is playing on their stereo (at least have the edited version). LUNA MOON. GET IT, GET PINEAPPLE ON HALF, AND THANK ME LATER. That is hands down my favorite pizza, and is good hot or cold! OK, I LOVE THEIR PIZZA. The pizza itself is really good, nice topping combinations in the menu, as the Luigi or the This Guy. The pizza itself deserves 4 stars (5 stars is perfection, sorry, don't give away stars that easily here). BUT THE SERVICES SUCKS. Need to replace the staff before the location becomes a dumpster with 4 POTHEADS RUNNING THE PLACE. Music is too loud to even understand the guy in the counter, who can barely mumble a full sentence because he's totally baked. Even in cases where the business is completely off, their pace in the kitchen is ridiculously slow and tedious, displaying a complete lack of respect for the customers. The "pizza by the slice" advertising on the window is, to me, misleading, as what I understand for that is: 1) I come in, 2) pick a slice I like from what you have cooked 3) and go. Nope. You have to order it custom made, and wait for the slice while they prepare it, adding the toppings and cooking it. DELIVERY ORDERS MISTOOK OUR PIZZAS 3 TIMES IN A ROW. And that's not good. Just saying. After 40-60 minutes waiting for it, it's not good... As some other people have commented before in this thread, the service is killing the clientele so, if any responsible soul reads this: give it a try and do your work. Good luck. read more

I'm actually throwing a second star into this review for a pretty good reason. Pink's Pizza happens to be my favorite pizza in Houston. I don't care that it's way more expensive, I just think it tastes the best. The combinations are the most delicious and creative that I've come across. I spend a lot of money and give this place a lot of business, but I am beginning to think it's not worth it. I always get the Santa Monica (gorgonzola, mozzarella, prosciutto, eggplant, marinated artichoke, sun dried tomato, cranberry, brushed with garlic infused olive oil) WITHOUT prosciutto, as I don't eat meat. Just typing it out right now elicits a little too much drool than is appropriate for 7am. The delivery always takes way longer than any pizza place I've ever gotten delivery from, which sucks because I live REALLY close to their Montrose location, but I let it slide since the pizza is always awesome. Plus, cute, dirty, tattooed dudes are always handing me the pizza, so I tip well and bat my eyelashes, and then close the door and commit SHAMEFUL acts of OBSCENE GLUTTONY. I seriously love the pizza. My last experience was kind of the last straw, though. I have recently fallen on VERY hard economic times. Like, to an embarrassing and very upsetting degree. I don't get to enjoy awesome food anymore unless someone else is kind enough to treat me to it. I had zero groceries left, and my mom decided to be amazing and buy me a pizza from Pink's, along with pasta, a few drinks, and dessert. That way, the food would last me until my paycheck cleared and I could get some groceries. I used the online ordering, which I had done before, but when I did it before, it wasn't as royally screwed up as this fiasco was. Not only was my pizza OVER TWO HOURS LATE (yes, seriously) but my dessert order was wrong, and my pizza had meat on it, even though I had very clearly ordered it without meat. What was more upsetting to me than the lateness, was slowly finding out that my pizza had meat in it. I have been vegetarian for over 10 years now. I don't whine or preach about it, I just keep to myself and abstain from meat. I seriously almost cried when I realized my favorite pizza was full of ham AND it took TWO HOURS TO GET THERE. I legitimately felt violated. I was so hungry, but I had to put it away. Now it has been about two or three days, I still don't have enough money for groceries, and I still have a ton of Pink's pizza in the fridge, but I can't eat it. Pinks - you are REALLY breaking my balls here. A two hour arrival time is totally inexcusable, your delivery dude was apathetic and rude, (plus he didn't even have cute tattoos, you're on THIN ICE, BRO) you messed up my dessert and gave me stuff I don't even eat, I paid like 50 bucks, tipped over 20%, and STILL, I cannot touch the pizza sitting in my fridge, even though I have NO OTHER FOOD and I am STARVING. I am the kind of person who NEVER sends food back at a restaurant, I never make complaints, and I get kind of annoyed or embarrassed of people who do that. This, though? Pretty much making a broke, hungry chick cry? Not cool, Pinks. I sincerely hope someone on the management team reads this and has to abstain from eating for a long period of time, and then maybe gives me a free pizza I can actually consume. Otherwise, I will be on a hunger-driven rampage to make your internets all complain-y. read more

Best pizza I've had in Houston. I've been on the hunt for some killer pizza after I just got back from my trip to Miami. Believe it or not, there are some pretty creative pies out there in the sunshine state! I went to Pink's to drop off flyers for an upcoming music event I'm hosting. They were more than happy to put some handbills on the counter, a flyer on the wall and one of the employees even went and hung on in the restroom for me! I love that they support local - really great customer service. Now, back to the food - was pretty hungry and decided to get a pie. I'd heard of Pink's most of my life since I grew up in Montrose but I never actually tried it. They whipped together a half Supremo and half Bada Bing lightning fast and I drove it back home. Oh my god - the aroma of this half & half beauty were making my mouth water. Got home, marveled at the artistry, and popped a couple slices of the Bada Bing in the toaster oven (as I do with all pizza since I like mine super crispy.) Hands down the best pizza I've ever had in Houston. While I ate, I looked up their menu to plan for future orders....I will certainly be back. read more

I would give these guys a higher rating just because the pizza is good, but I will never go back to a place where I have had a bad experience, no matter how good their food is. I ordered a pizza online for pick up last night and the cofirmation said 30 minutes. 25 minutes later I showed up at the store. When I came in the girl at the counter asked for my name, went to check the pizzas that were waiting to be picked up, then came back and told me it would be about 10 minutes. Didn't do anything to check the actual status of the order. So I wait, and wait.... after about 15 minutes she comes out and asks, "uh what's your name again?" She goes back and checks the pizzas waiting, pulls my order off the bottom of the stack where it's obviously been waiting since I arrived at the store. When she brings it to me I ask how long it's been waiting on the shelf. All I get is a shrug. I just say ok and she walks away. It was probably obvious that I was annoyed, but I wasn't rude or a jerk about it. Being either would be pointless. I just don't get the attitude of completely not caring. Even if you don't give a flying f*** about whether I'm a satisfied customer or not, could you at least do me a favor and act like you do? I can't in good conscience give this place my business again and actually respect myself afterwards. read more

Since moving to Montrose about 5 months ago, I haven't been able to find a pizza place that was great. Lot's of decents and goods, but none that I have actually re-ordered from. Until Now.... Pink's is not only delicious, but amazingly friendly. Girl answering the phone seemed to actually like her job, and didn't act inconvenienced to be taking my order. The Lazy Lasagna Pizza sounded too wonderful to pass up. We needed breadsticks and there were so many options I asked the girl on the phone for her favorite. She spouted off the Bacon and Cheese like she has never been more sure of an answer in her life. Works for me. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was due to delivery time. She said 35-40 minutes and it was closer to an hour. When the food arrived it looked impressive. The cheese sticks looked very.... Bacony. They were really good. The Lasagna Pizza was all I wanted it to be and more. Perfect amount of sauce, foldable but not soggy and the little pockets of ricotta cheese were extra special. Finally I have a pizza place. All is right in the world. read more

This place freaking sucks! We got here at 11:42 pm and the hours said they were going to be open til 1 am on Saturday night and they aren't even open because they close on Saturday night at 11 pm. But on Yelp, it says that they are open late. Grrrh... not going to come back again. read more

Unbelievable! The pizza is tasty and the recipes unique, but I can't think of a worse service experience. We were trying to get a pizza delivered to us, and immediately upon answering the phone the Pink's employee asked us to hold. We complied. We then went through the rigamarole only to be told that location did not deliver to us. We were directed to a different Pink's, who also told us they did not deliver to us. They sent us to a third location. Each place made us hold for several minutes each time they answered the phone. Finally we called the first Pink's we'd tried, and found that they DID indeed deliver to us (i.e. we were lied to the first time). This is after about 15-20 minutes of runaround. So we placed our order, and they told us it'd be 60-90 minutes. Ninety minutes later we called and asked where our pizza was. They said the driver was on his way. Another half hour later, we called back to try to get an idea of where the driver was. The employee got the manager on the phone, who didn't even try to help. He said the pizza was on its way and hung up on us. Twice. We called back and complained that we were not pleased with the service. He said if the driver was on his way, what more could we expect him to do? We told him "nothing." Then he hung up on us again. We waited another 30 minutes and called back. The manager said, "You've cancelled your order. F*** YOU." So after 2 and a half hours of waiting, and about three hours since we'd tried to start our order, no pizza and a "f*** you" was all we got from Pink's. The worst part of all? They don't care if they lose our businesss. They have orders streaming in. We're just waiting for that charge to show up on our card statement (or maybe even other unauthorized charges) and we'll be on this business like a bulldog on a mailman with bacon in his pockets. It's really too bad; we've been their customers for months! read more

Placed an order today for a large and was quoted 20- 25 minute cool time. Given restrictions, I was asked to wait outside and the girl said she would bring it out to me.(allowing only 1 customer at a time in the store) Fast forward 40 minutes later, I had to return inside and ask about the pizza that had been sitting on the the rack at least 10/15 minutes. I'm sorry, you should be clear on your instructions to come back inside in 25 minutes opposed to you telling me to wait in my car. read more

WOOHOO! I love Pink's!! Since I've moved to Houston (over 2 years ago) I have been on a mission to find a great pizza joint. I really liked Star pizza, but after a couple disappointing experiences, I moved on. Luckily I had the opportunity to order a Pink's pizza while I was at Big Star Bar one Saturday. When I got that piping hot pizza, it was placed in my awaiting hands and I took my first bite...that was it, that was the pizza I had been waiting for! it was a "This Guy", it was chock full of rosemary chicken, prosciutto, chunks of Italian sausage, goat cheese, roasted garlic, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Ever since that experience, I've been wanting more, more, obsessive, yes, justifiable like to think so. Anyway, I had the rocko at the new location on W Gray and was equally delighted to indulge again. (FYI it is BYOB if you do decide to eat there.) read more
