Ordered some pad kee mao and some pad sew ew. The taste was fine but no "wok hay". I've definitely had better. It was spicy as hell and almost not edible. The person that took the order didn't ask how spicy I wanted it. Also ordered the chicken wings which were tiny. Also really spicy. The restaurant was weird. I had to walk out and walk back in cause I thought I went into the wrong place. It's like a coffee shop joint but sells Thai food too. Cute little place. Sad that there was no one in the place at all.

worst pad Thai I've had. one piece of onion and a few bean sprouts. Then tofu and noodles and barely any flavour. Did they even put fish sauce in it? Not one peanut. Attaching two photos. One is what i got and the other is what I should have gotten.

We found out the new Pink elephant cafe opened on Dunbar street so decided to give it a try. They offered grab and go lunch boxes, coffee, dessert and dine-in service after 11am. We came here today quite early so they only have a few options for takeout. We have got two curry to give it a try: * Green curry with rice: green curry has coconut milk, basil leaves, chicken, kabucha squash, and bell pepper. The seasoning and taste for the curry is very on point, but the chicken is very dry. The amount of the curry with rice has a good ratio but we found the portion size is small compared to the prices. * Red curry with rice: red curry also has coconut milk, pineapple, chicken, and bell pepper. The menu said it includes basil but we didn't find basil in the red curry. There is a strong tomato taste in this curry base. However, same as the green curry, the chicken is very dry. Portion size is small. Total of two boxes after tax is about $35, which we found that it's a bit pricey compared to the portion size. We hope to come back the other time for dine-in and hopefully the food quality will be better. But overall, it's a good concept and option to the neighborhood.

Fusilli Pad Thai and Thai Iced Tea The fusilli retains pad thai sauce on the surface very well, quite surprising lol. Veg and shrimp cooked well. Flavorful. Was prepared fresh because they didn't have any ready so had to wait for 10 mins for it to come out. Just wanted to try something different. Thai Iced Tea is very good.

The Pink Elephant Restaurant, next door to the cafe, is excellent. Best Pad Thai I've ever had. I highly recommend.

And yes, it has the pork blood which I love! Service is quick and they have a counter that faces the kitchen if you're a solo diner. I've also done doordash and the food is packaged well. My only gripe with the delivery is that they don't deliver the noodle in a bowl that is big enough for the entire dish. The noodles and soup are put in two different bowls but you almost can't put them together because it will overflow. This is difficult of you're staying in a hotel so if you can, just eat in the restaurant because they also have hot sauces and pepper that they serve on the table, which they don't give to you if you order delivery.

We received our food within 10 mins. We ordered the vegetarian khao soi. The fried egg noodles added a nice crunch and visual, but the long rigid strands made it a little tough to eat together with the khao soi. The broth looked spicy, but the main flavor profile of the coconut curry was the creamy sweet coconut milk flavor. There were plenty of veggies that were all cooked well, and the rice noodles were fun to chew and novel! Personally, I would have liked some condiments to increase the spiciness or add another layer of flavor. But, for what it is, it was good.

If you're ever in Vancouver, you absolutely can't miss Miku, the Japanese restaurant next to Canada Place! This restaurant is incredibly popular, often requiring a wait, so reservations are highly recommended. This time, I managed to book a window seat a week in advance for the weekend! The renowned Miku restaurant undoubtedly boasts a beautiful view from its windows, excellent service, and of course, delicious food. Their seared sushi is particularly famous. My partner really wanted to try their Boat Noodle for a while now so we were quite excited to try that dish. The waiter was nice and recommended a couple dishes for us. Som Tum (Papaya Salad) 3/5 The texture was nice and it tasted refreshing but it is QUITE spicy. I appreciate the authentic Thai spice level but it was too spicy for us. I liked the sourness and I know this rating is a very personal rating based on our spice tolerance. Roti with Curry Sauce 3.75/5 Nice, flaky roti that wasn't too oily. I wish there was a little more sauce. Pad See Ew with Crab Meat 4/5 Great flavor. There was a decent number of clumped up noodle but the portion was great. Good amount of crab as well. Boat Noodle Soup 4.25/5 This was the best boat noodle we had so far. Flavorful broth with generous portion of various meats. There could be an option to get more noodles but my partner got this and she was satisfied with the amount since there were good chunks of meat. Good heat that creeps up. Roselle Drink 3.75-4.5/5 Great compliment to the dishes as it lightened and refreshed our pallette. Slightly sour. It tasted better with the food than by itself. Thai Milk Tea 3.5/5 Good enough. Wasn't the best but wasn't bad. Rainbow Sweet Sticky Rice 4.25/5 We were surprised it came in a cup and that it was soup-ier than we imagined. I was hoping that they had mango sticky rice but we thoroughly enjoyed the coconut I think it's also important to keep in mind that this is a relatively fast paced restaurant. There is some wait so you want to finish your food, pay, and leave. The staff was nice but we could tell that they wanted to keep the flow. We would be coming back again for sure! We loved the staff and the food.

The restaurant is located on a busy street and is unassuming/easy to miss so I'm glad my boyfriend pointed it out for us to try with some friends. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. They all arrived relatively quickly and my favourites were the pad thai and the khao soi. The pad thai was fragrant and on the sweeter side which I like. I also liked the fresh raw bean sprouts on the side. The khao soi was curry noodles with tender beef and crispy egg noodles. The curry was very flavourful with a hint of heat and sweetness. This was also my first time trying curry noodles at a Thai restaurant. The green curry was filled with bamboo shoots, peppers, and a good amount of chicken. The flavour from the bamboo shoots really comes through as well. For the crab fried rice, it came with a spicy sauce and pickled vegetables. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough to go around so I didn't get a chance to get a good taste of it with the rice. However, I scooped some curry sauce from the khao soi onto the crab friend rice and it was delicious! Finally, we tried the mango sticky rice and my goodness, it was so pretty! The rice was warm and sweet which paired beautifully with the slightly tart mango. I'll definitely have to come back to have more of the khao soi noodles!
