The Pirate Park Playground was built by Superior Playgrounds who was tasked with designing a one-of-a-kind pirate theme play space to spark creative play and provide a safe place for budding buccaneers to play. The playground is made of recycled material like milk jugs and was created to be corrosion resistant so that it would always look good in this salt water coastal ecosystem. Located only 100 feet from the beach, the playground is fenced in for safety. There is a large pirate ship for older children to climb on and slide down and a smaller area for younger privateers. The crows nest with rigging looked especially fun to climb. Other playground play structures include clownfish and blue tang fish spring riders, a custom octopus playhouse, and palm tree shade. There are four triangle sail shades and poured-in-place safety surfacing to protect little knees and bottoms. Bathrooms are nearby. During my visit the playground was filled with kids and their families enjoying the nautical theme. This unique play space fosters imagination and physical movement for the youngest North Beach residents and visitors.

My family got there around 1:45pm and spent 3 hours walking, enjoying the time seeing my nephew on the various rides. If you have children from ages 2-7 years old this is a good place for them to burn some energy. Everyone we came across was very nice and helpful...I can definitely see my family and I coming again.

We as a society need to invest and support spaces and places like this that not only offer incredible experiences, but also give back to all its visitors and urban spaces they inhabit - even if they're on a small, missable island (jajaja).

The conditions were shocking: birds crammed into tiny cages stacked next to each other, kangaroos trapped in small empty pens, and the largest tortoise I've ever seen stuck in an enclosure the size of my living room -- with another tortoise. Every animal looked stressed, sad, or neglected. My kids were so upset we left early. I'm ashamed I spent money here, but I'm glad I saw it so I can warn others. This place is cruel, depressing, and should not be allowed to operate.

The farm is huge with so many fun activities to enjoy as a family. There's also a brewery and a restaurant inside which is great and made it easy to grab food during our visit. You could easily spend half a day or even the entire day exploring and enjoying all the activities! We went during the pumpkin patch season, which is currently happening and it's super cute! They had different areas throughout the farm decorated for the season which we loved snapping photos at. We enjoyed the paddle boats, tractor ride, cars, corn maze, gem mining, pony ride and bounce pad for the kids. I can't wait to go back! Most of the attractions are included with the entry fee but there are some that require an additional fee. The entry fee is $31 during the pumpkin patch. We bought the gem mining and goat feeding experiences. Both were really nice! If you're looking for a fun way to spend the day with your family, I highly recommend visiting Pinto Farms this fall!

General admission is $20 per person on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Overall, Pinto's Farm is a pleasant way to spend a few quality hours within the suburban community of Miami, FL.

Honestly, I probably could have seen the same thing at my local shelter and saved $30. I'm hoping the money goes toward helping the animals, but it's really hard to tell. They have goats, plenty of birds, llamas, pigs, and horses. I wouldn't call it a true petting zoo because most of the petting is done through a gate. If you want a horse ride, you have to ask. No one offers or tells you about it. Everything looked like it could use some updating or repairs, and the overall vibe from most of the staff was, "Please hurry up so we can get back to what we were doing." A couple of employees were pleasant and helpful, but they weren't going above and beyond. They simply gave us what we asked for. Overall, I probably won't be back. At least my $30 went toward helping the animals...I hope.

The bathroom is located in area where the monkeys are over the water. The exhibits were interesting, but the highlight was feeding the monkeys through the cages and watching them cleverly lift the little food trays really entertaining to see up close. The staff was friendly and informative, and the whole visit felt relaxed and enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're looking for something a little different to do in Miami.
