The thing I missed most about NC was the farms so I decided to google nearby farms and came across Happi Farms. Their website states you can feed the animals so you had the option to buy food or bring your own.. I had so much lettuce and apples so I went to chopping and bagged them up. When we arrived, we were greeted at the gate, and given information about the farm and also the other farm/trail on the same property. Parking is very limited so we parked alongside the road with no issues. We got to the main entrance at again greeted, the lady at the register with young girl are the sweetest! They were very welcoming, friendly, and informative. We were given wristbands to enter and that gives you the free horse ride. We were able to go into some enclosures and feed the animals, we were able to hold the ferrets, the snick, bearded dragon. There was a gentleman there giving us different info on the animals. We walked around and fed more animals and at the end of our time we rode Goliath. It was super hot out but definitely a good time. The fee to get in is $10 and definitely worth it. Will be coming back.

Let's see where to start.... They should dig up that land around her trailer to find so many animal bodies.... So many little voiceless souls neglected to the point of death.... Let's not even start on how each have died... you show up at this farm and the owner refuses to own up to any responsibility.... If anyone shouldn't be allowed to have pets it's the owner Marie lim... just google happi farm complaints.... It tells you those animals are neglected. Don't give them a dime and this comes from someone who donated a lot of time and money and saw that she did nothing but be selfish and overwork those horses and neglect all small animals.

Small place but perfect spot for kids. The animals are very friendly and the horses are so good with kids. I've taken my son back twice this week he's obsessed.

Happi Farm is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching farm animal's lives. Located in Davie, FL...Happi Farm is a great chance for visitors to get up close interactions with animals including handfeeding them. It's $10 entrance fee per person (they may not accept credit cards) and then $5 for a large bowl of fruit and vegetables including big pieces of carrots, apples and lettuce. It doesn't take long to visit, maybe 30 - 40 minutes long or if you're having fun, 60 - 90 minutes. There's not much walking distance along the grounds. All the animals are kept relatively together. There are horses, pigs, an emu, llamas, donkey, sheep, baby sheep, goat, cow/longhorn, ducks, turtles and even a chance to hold a small snake. The animals had friendly dispositions and were most happy when eating, lol. Best of all you can take unlimited photos and videos as memorable mementoes. They are open daily from 9am - 5pm. The parking lot was a little small but when I stopped by on a busy Saturday, they found enough room for everyone's cars. Parking is free. Grabbing a photo with the Happi Farm entrance sign was a good way to get started before meeting and greeting the animals. They also offer horseback riding or can be hosts for birthday parties. Overall, Happi Farm is an under the radar sanctuary that allows for animals to be properly cared for who may need extra attention. I appreciated stopping by and saying hello to the residents. It was a playful activity in helping to support the farm's mission.

This is literally the cutest petting farm in south Florida!!! I had soooo much fun here with my family!!! It was very reasonably priced - 10 bucks a person and babies are free. The food was 5 bucks for a bowl of carrots which brought a ton. And they had sooooooo many cute animals. And the animals were so friendly. My son loved the goats. There were so many goats and they were adorable. They also had free horseback riding which was nice. My sons first time on a horse!! I am def coming back here. It was the perfect day!!

The service i requested was to host a birthday party for my niece and it went amazingly. The quality of the area was beautiful and quaint. The value wasn't that bad but definitely keep track of how many people you invite. Also i recommend buying and precutting apples and carrots for the farm animals. This will save you some money. They do sell some there if you do forget to take some.

We had a wonderful time!! We were kindly greeted at the entrance helped graciously and everyone was super kind! The animals were all so beautiful and kind we had a great time it was worth the money for sure!!

Ask the Community - Happi Farm

What fruits and veggies should we bring and about how much would we need?

Apples and carrots are recommended and it’s your choice on how many you would like to bring.

Do babies 9 months of age have to also pay to get in?

We were charged $20 (family of 4) to enter and at the time our youngest was about 7 months; so I would think yes.

    Have any entry fee?

$10 for children to petting zoo which also includes a pony ride. Adults are $5. Parking is free.

Do you have to have kids with you to visit and enjoy the petting zoo? We don't mind paying just not sure if you need to have kiddos present.

Sorry, we just saw this question. Everyone is always welcome to visit Happi Farm! No, you do not need to have children to visit. We would love to have you. For more information visit our website: HappiFarm.org.

In 1927 the club purchased a former hotel for $500 and used it to create the towns first library. The financially smart women sold the building in 1946 for $4,000 and used the money they made to purchase their current clubhouse. Like many women's clubs in Florida, the Hollywood Women's Club was founded in 1922 during the Florida Land Boom years. In the 1920's women's clubs were formed to give back to the community. They became a way for women to get out of the house and assert their independence. They allowed women to get involved in politics and launched the women's rights movement. The Hollywood Women's Club predated the founding of the city and in 1924 they joined the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The first club members were the wives of officers in the J.W. Young Organization which was the development company building Hollywood. They met in the first clubhouse that was built on land donated by the founder of Hollywood, Joseph W. Young in 1927. Early club projects included donating hundreds of books to the first public library, holding tag sales to pay for health screenings for children, giving migrating farmers assistance with housing and welfare, getting the Miami Telephone Co. to bring the first telephone line to town, and collecting $12,000 during a war bonds drive. Today the club supports literacy programs, funds a youth scholarship, participates in the Hollywood Historical Society, supports the neighborhood crime watch, and provides financial aid to many state charities through the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The original plans for the clubhouse included an ornate Mediterranean Revival style. After the collapse of the land boom due to the Great Depression and several hurricanes the design was scaled back to a more affordable $25,000 Classical Revival style building in 1927. The building was listed as a a local historical landmark in 1985, and added to the National Register of Historic Place in 1995. Between 2012 and 2014 money was raised by the club and added to a grant to prevent the clubhouse from sinking into the sand. Other cosmetic work was also completed on this charming historical building. In 2022 the Hollywood Women's Club celebrated their 100th anniversary. During this time further electrical improvements and upgrades to the kitchen were made. Today the clubhouse is available to be rented for private events. The 1,200 square foot main event room has hardwood floors and a grand piano and can accommodate 60 people. There is also a catering kitchen. Information on how to rent the clubhouse and join and volunteer with this important civic organization can be found on the club website. If there are any upcoming events you can find that information as well. For instance they hold 2 round bingo nights for $10. That was until we got matched with a birth mother and ultimately had a failed adoption. They treated our failed adoption in the way a realtor would treat a client not having their offer accepted on a new house. It was shocking....that's the best word I can use to describe the behavior of the social workers at this agency. We worked with Terry and Angela and I can't even describe how shocked we were at their lack of clear communication, empathy, or compassion...especially given what we were told when we signed on. They definitely have their sales pitch down. Working with this agency really reminded me that they are in fact a business first. They charge you as the adoptive family $150 per hour that they work with the birth mom and in our case, the "counseling" expenses totaled to $10K in addition to the other expenses. So, it seemed to us, this is a business in which they don't really care too much about the outcome of the placement because they are making money either way. We were told some lies about the birth parents by the agency as well which turned out to be untrue so we aren't sure if that was intentional or just another example of their poor communication. We would not recommend prospective adoptive parents work with this agency.
