The farm idea is so nice that you take in animals that people don't want anymore. The animals are also very sweet and friendly, ferrets are usually not so kind but these ones are so sweet. The baby bunnies are my favorite, and the ferrets, and the GOATs (Greatest Of All Time) are silly, sweet, and very friendly. Everything is set at a great fair price, not too expensive. Well, I must have come on a bad day. Maybe the animals were tired. Maybe the staff were tired. I don't know. All I know is I felt like I was at my cousin's house and they happened to have animals. There were no directions or explanations...until it came time to pay. Now that part was explained perfectly. Honestly, I probably could have seen the same thing at my local shelter and saved $30. I'm hoping the money goes toward helping the animals, but it's really hard to tell. They have goats, plenty of birds, llamas, pigs, and horses. I wouldn't call it a true petting zoo because most of the petting is done through a gate. If you want a horse ride, you have to ask. No one offers or tells you about it. Everything looked like it could use some updating or repairs, and the overall vibe from most of the staff was, "Please hurry up so we can get back to what we were doing." A couple of employees were pleasant and helpful, but they weren't going above and beyond. They simply gave us what we asked for. Overall, I probably won't be back. Drove past this location and couldn't help to check it out. Great value for the $10 admission cost and even includes a horseback ride for that price. Kids enjoy it but there are a few things I would say could use some revision. As a mom of 2 littles, I was not a fan that the only restrooms were 2 porta-potties and not "ADA compliant". I didn't mind the realistic farm feel, but can use some improvement in terms of cleanliness, you will get dusty so if that bothers you, this is not the place for you. Overall we had a positive experience and love that this is a realistic farm (not a photo op farm) so my kids were able to see the animals and feed them. The thing I missed most about NC was the farms so I decided to google nearby farms and came across Happi Farms. Their website states you can feed the animals so you had the option to buy food or bring your own.. I had so much lettuce and apples so I went to chopping and bagged them up. When we arrived, we were greeted at the gate, and given information about the farm and also the other farm/trail on the same property. Parking is very limited so we parked alongside the road with no issues. We got to the main entrance at again greeted, the lady at the register with young girl are the sweetest! They were very welcoming, friendly, and informative. We were given wristbands to enter and that gives you the free horse ride. We were able to go into some enclosures and feed the animals, we were able to hold the ferrets, the snick, bearded dragon. There was a gentleman there giving us different info on the animals. We walked around and fed more animals and at the end of our time we rode Goliath. It was super hot out but definitely a good time. The fee to get in is $10 and definitely worth it. This was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had with my little ones. We paid $10 per person to enter and $5 for a small bowl of carrots to feed the animals -- which would have been fine if the farm were clean or safe. It was the complete opposite. The place was filthy. So dirty, we didn't even feel comfortable getting close to the animals. Everything felt neglected, and the whole environment gave us the ick. Then things got scary -- and I mean really scary. An ostrich started chasing us. I have two small children (2 and 3 years old), and we were literally cornered and terrified. Not a single staff member came to help us. No one apologized. No one even checked on us after the fact. Eventually, someone locked the ostrich away, but not before my babies were crying in fear. When we told them what happened, all we got was, "Oh, she's just chasing the food." Absolutely unacceptable. There was no control, no safety protocols, and honestly, no basic courtesy. We will NEVER go back. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone -- especially not to families with small children. There is another farm right next door that is way nicer, cleaner, and actually family-friendly -- go there instead! read more

Happi Farm is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching farm animal's lives. Located in Davie, FL...Happi Farm is a great chance for visitors to get up close interactions with animals including handfeeding them. It's $10 entrance fee per person (they may not accept credit cards) and then $5 for a large bowl of fruit and vegetables including big pieces of carrots, apples and lettuce. It doesn't take long to visit, maybe 30 - 40 minutes long or if you're having fun, 60 - 90 minutes. There's not much walking distance along the grounds. All the animals are kept relatively together. There are horses, pigs, an emu, llamas, donkey, sheep, baby sheep, goat, cow/longhorn, ducks, turtles and even a chance to hold a small snake. The animals had friendly dispositions and were most happy when eating, lol. Best of all you can take unlimited photos and videos as memorable mementoes. They are open daily from 9am - 5pm. The parking lot was a little small but when I stopped by on a busy Saturday, they found enough room for everyone's cars. Parking is free. Grabbing a photo with the Happi Farm entrance sign was a good way to get started before meeting and greeting the animals. They also offer horseback riding or can be hosts for birthday parties. Overall, Happi Farm is an under the radar sanctuary that allows for animals to be properly cared for who may need extra attention. I appreciated stopping by and saying hello to the residents. This is literally the cutest petting farm in south Florida!!! I had soooo much fun here with my family!!! It was very reasonably priced - 10 bucks a person and babies are free. The food was 5 bucks for a bowl of carrots which brought a ton. And they had sooooooo many cute animals. And the animals were so friendly. My son loved the goats. There were so many goats and they were adorable. They also had free horseback riding which was nice. My sons first time on a horse!! I am def coming back here. It was the perfect day!! read more

This was a great way to spend a few hours with our kiddos while visiting family in South Florida and I'm so happy Yelp lead us here! Happi Farm is a non-profit animal sanctuary and petting zoo. As the name implies, this is a rustic experience, so wear the appropriate clothing and footwear, and bring lots of hand sanitizer and maybe a change of clothes for the little ones, because getting dirty is a given. The animals are all pretty well kept and you have the opportunity to interact with many of them in their enclosures or by feeding them from the outside. We really enjoyed the large white pig who went crazy for carrots, as well as the llamas, cows and goats that kept competing to stick their heads over the railing to reach the treats! They also have a few tortoises that you can get right up next to, which is a great point of interaction for the little ones. The horse ride was a nice addition for the kids too. I mean, they see a pony ride and start screaming, so have this included in the admission is awesome and a great way to wind down and end your visit. For $10, this is a solid little activity and your dollars are doing a lot of good to help too. read more

Fun place for kids mainly because they will oversee the bad qualities of this place. It's always nice to see the animals but its true, they are not in the best conditions here. Its not just about the small enclosures... many of the animals have several open bloody wounds & are in overly dirty pens. the horses you get to ride look really over worked and I've seen some even stumble when being ridden from how tired they are. We were there for over an hour and did not see them get one water break. Its sad because this place has a lot of potential if they cleaned up after the animals daily and tended to them & their injuries. read more

I've been meaning to visit for a while and thankfully was able to visit. Was using Waze and got caught up down the street by some residences so if you're not making a right by the sign just keep on going till you see the sign lol. It's been a rainy few days in south Florida and the smaller parking lot showed it but as the website says that they recommend wearing boots and by golly we did down to the baby! The rain boots and jeans made for a comfortable and easy visit and 'like the website' I'd recommend wearing them. We were able to walk through puddles with ease and visit without worrying about anything mud seeping in our shoes. The farm is small and a true visit at most would be 90 minutes. Don't expect pastures as depicted on tv shows. It's a non profit which provides for a few beautiful animals and allows us to visit. For goodness sake don't bring your own pets. Leave the dog at home as we saw while there. It's a pretty decent time and your money goes to those amazing animals. Bring the kiddies, boots and leave the pets at home. Live & Love! Bye read more

I took my sibling & my son, they both enjoyed seeing all the animals & feeding them. There weren't many people - I went during the week, about one or two people through the time we were there. Only took about 20 mins to go through every section. It was very smelly (which is expected with so many animals) but I was a little disappointed with how small it was, they need a larger space for all those animals. I was very happy to find this farm through Yelp. I messaged them using Facebook, and was able to book a visit on a Thursday afternoon. I arrived a bit late as I accidentally took a wrong, but was greeted by the nice owner and helper when I arrived. I paid extra for a 30 minute horse ride, and it was ready when I arrived. I chose to ride bareback, but they had a small pad to be on the safe side. I sat on the horse while the helper led me around the street, seeing the neighborhoods nearby. We then went back to the farm and the helper was able to take a picture of me on the horse afterwards. The ride was close to the 30 minutes as promised. Afterwards, I visited the petting zoo area, seeing various animals like other horses, rabbits, snakes, pigs, goats, and an emu. Many were very friendly and didn't mind being gently touched and petted. I also was able to go inside the pig pen, and since I was light enough, take a photo on Hollywood (a sweet pig) while he enjoyed his food. The farm animals seemed happy and loved over there. The owner and helper were very friendly and helpful. The barn is a bit small, but still lots of animals to pet and see. The admission is only 10 dollars which includes a short horse ride, but you can pay more for a longer ride. They only take cash if I am not mistaken. Happi Farm is located in the Davie area, which is very nice for horseback riding. There are a lot of rich neighborhoods nearby as well, so the scenery was beautiful. I will definitely visit again when I go to Fort Lauderdale. read more

They say on their website to wear old sneakers or rainboots. The entrance fee for each person is $10 and they prefer cash. This admission price comes with a short pony / horse ride. My son got to ride a pony and my friend and I both had horses. You can bring apples or carrots to feed the animals. We brought our own and saw what bullies the other animals can be fighting over food! It was funny but hopefully they all get fed plenty. Cute little experience for your kids. There aren't a lot of animals but enough for kids to look at, touch and learn about. I took my toddler, 2 years old and he had a great time. He was able to feed the horses, play with some Guinea pigs and run around. Since it's been raining a lot lately the area was muddy but it was alright. I highly suggest you take clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Admission is 10 per person which is more of like a donation type of thing. Cash or pay on their website. I've seen this place for a while now when searching for something to do but today was one of those days where the kiddo and I wanted to get out of the house and do something different and we're so glad we did! Note: if you're too "South Florida" and don't like interesting smells, animal poop, and general farm life, get ready! I grew up in the sticks and LOVE the farm smell! With that said, this took me back to being young. While I didn't have all these animals, we raised silky chickens and seeing them here was fun! $10/pp was great! Plus we got a little tub of apples to feed the animals. It's mildly chaotic when arriving and it's crowded, but it's a non-profit so don't expect animal shows or animals doing tricks! It's literally a farm that you can pet fuzzy things! And that made it great! Couple of Pygmy goats were are first stop and super cute! Made it over to see some rabbits that were doing rabbit things, then over to see the larger goats! Took a walk outside the coveted area to see chickens and ducks just waddling around! Then made it down to the cow, llama, and emu section. The llama, or is it an alpaca?! Was cute as a button with his goofy teeth! The emus were pretty curious and definitely wanting the apples. Then some miniature horses or ponies. We circled around to the other goats with one standing on the roof of his house like he's a weather vane! Then some pigs and hogs with some healthy boars. Lastly we checked out a couple of small rabbits and tortoises. This is a gem! If you love animals, go here! If you want to freak out that it "looks junky", pass it up. The Ram was all alone fence so high we didn't even know there was an animal in the cage. Huge horses kept in small enclosures I could go on and on. My friend went to visit HAPPI FARM with her kids and came back almost in tears. She told me how the animals didn't look like they were taken care of, there was not adequate space and the "shelter" to protect them was falling apart and not sufficient to protect them from the heat and rain. There are several more recent reviews stating the same thing she did and this is really heartbreaking to hear. :( I understand this is a nonprofit and I'm sure they are trying to do a good thing , however; these animals deserve better living conditions. read more
