When I arrived around 12ish, they greeted me and were preparing the horses. Andre was on another ride, so I waited until he was finished. A lot of horses were saddled up and I noticed there was another group that was joining the ride. It was a group of 6! Thus, I knew this was going to be a slower paced ride. We did get a nice ride on the trails, and the majority were shaded. We did see some cows and donkeys too. It was a full two hour ride. We did get to trot a little, but there was no opportunity to lope or canter due to the large group. While Andre and Andrea looked to be nice people, and the ride was fine, the reason for the two stars is the treatment of the horses. The horse I rode looked pretty under weight. It seemed that many others too looked skinny. That is sad as last year, my horse looked ok. Also, it looked like the horses didn't have a break in between rides, so they might be overworked. This was noticed by my horse friends, as well as the other group. They were purposely not following Andre's instructions to not have the horses eat during the ride. They were also asking how much longer before the ride ends, and questioning whether the horses were going to be ridden on the next ride afterwards. While I do like Andre and Andrea, it is the welfare of the horses that have the highest priority. If they are not treated well, they shouldn't be ridden. The high reviews from others are from customers who had great rides like me, but may not have noticed the conditions of the horses, or the horses were treated better previously. I beg Andre and Andrea to please make sure the well being of the horses are the first priority, especially for 65 per hour on a group ride.

There was a shaded trail but since we were going there to let a toddler ride for the 1st time, we had to walk beside the pony carrying her. The trail is plenty large for a horse or pony. But a bit awkward for an adult walking next to the pony. Also, due to the temp, I was getting overheated so we only walked about 15 min of the 30 min. We didn't ask for a refund or a rain check. Kinda our fault for booking in the dead of a Florida summer.

All I know is I felt like I was at my cousin's house and they happened to have animals. There were no directions or explanations...until it came time to pay. Now that part was explained perfectly. Honestly, I probably could have seen the same thing at my local shelter and saved $30. I'm hoping the money goes toward helping the animals, but it's really hard to tell. They have goats, plenty of birds, llamas, pigs, and horses. I wouldn't call it a true petting zoo because most of the petting is done through a gate. If you want a horse ride, you have to ask. No one offers or tells you about it. Everything looked like it could use some updating or repairs, and the overall vibe from most of the staff was, "Please hurry up so we can get back to what we were doing." A couple of employees were pleasant and helpful, but they weren't going above and beyond. They simply gave us what we asked for. Overall, I probably won't be back. At least my $30 went toward helping the animals...I hope.

I purchased a groupon for Double Flush Stables and contacted them via text (as instructed on the…read moregroupon) I got an automated response stating all the [strict] rules then proceeded to schedule a date. Groupon's are not accepted on the weekends and so we only had weekday options. They get booked up fast and the earliest availability was one month out. On the day of our ride, we got a text an hour before the scheduled time stating our ride was cancelled due to the possibility of thunder storms. We tried to reschedule our ride for a closer date however it got pushed back another month. The stables had beautiful horses and other animals like goats, pigs and cows. We arrived a few minutes late and so we had to pay $20/ea to ride the horses. We rode the horses down a beautiful path in a park however we barely took pictures because we were told if we dropped anything the guide would charge us $20 for each time she had to get off the horse to retrieve the item. The trail ride was supposed to be 75 minutes but it was cut short. According to their rules, the wait time is deducted from the ride. We were 10 minutes late, and so we expected a 65 minute ride. We ended up riding for 45 minutes, so they actually deducted 30 minutes from the ride. I enjoy riding horses, therefore I enjoyed my time but I would not go back nor would I recommend these stables to others solely based on their lack of customer service. My advise to them would be to be more lenient. Smile. Don't be so abrupt, it definitely took away from the fun.

I used to bored just horse here. For about 2 1/2 weeks. Within 24hours I came back to him with a lump on his neck the size of a softball. I made it clear if I ever found out anyone put their hands on my horse , we'd have a serious problem . I was worth more their than my weight I'm gold. Those that knew me, would attest to that. The owner's boyfriend got caught almost cheating with a woman that was kicking it to me as well so I told her to kick rocks. The dude got aggressive with me over "his customer " who bought 2 lessons from them in their lifetime, not to mention , even as a full board , mucked all the stalls in my barn from time of inception. Oh and apparently he wanted steroids from her as well. 2 real winners Their MO is to "seize your horse" , should you not pay, or try to call the cops on you for things you didn't do. Stay far clear if these people if for no other reason , then the fact that they hit their horses alone. And I'm sorry to tell ya double flush, beating your horse into obedience doesn't make you a trainer , it makes you an abuser . Don't get it twisted

Before coming in, Mandy was very helpful and responded quickly to my messages and questions. The day of the ride, the weather was great and my assigned horse, Spirit was just lovely. We got to explore a beautiful park that had a combination of wide, open spaces as well as smaller paths, completely surrounded by a variety of trees, vines and plants. I really appreciated the freedom and feeling of being away from the city. It might be helpful to mention that both Happi Farm and HGS share a location, however they are separate. In order to get to Hidden Stables you have to cross through Happi Farm, which can be a bit daunting, but honestly everyone worked swiftly to make sure people moved to the side & the animals were safe!
