Safety is very poor -- I definitely do not recommend this place…read more A few days ago, I went horseback riding here with three of my friends. Unfortunately, my experience resulted in a physical injury and raised serious concerns for me about safety. Before the ride started, two of my friends' horses were fitted with muzzles, but the horse I was riding was not. As soon as we started, my horse kept trying to eat grass, stopping, and refusing to move forward. I was instructed on how to encourage the horse to keep moving, and I followed those instructions. However, once we reached an area with more grass, the horse completely stopped and started eating. At that point, one of the instructors, while still riding his own horse, tried to lead my horse by holding and pulling it along with him. The two horses were moving extremely close together and were constantly coming into contact with each other. I could clearly feel that the horses were becoming very tense. I told the instructor several times that the situation was making me uncomfortable, that the horses seemed very stressed, and that I wanted him to stop. Instead of listening to me, he continued and told me that he knew what he was doing. Since he was the instructor, I trusted him. Shortly afterward, the instructor's horse kicked. Because the instructor was trying to lead my horse while riding his own, the two horses were moving almost right next to each other. My horse was positioned immediately beside and slightly behind his horse. While we were moving this closely together, his horse kicked, and the kick hit me directly in the leg. My leg became severely bruised, and I am also attaching a photo of the injury to this review. I was extremely scared and clearly told the instructor that I did not want to ride anymore. Despite this, he insisted that I get back on the horse and continue the ride. I told him that I absolutely did not want to get back on, got off the horse, and started making my way back with my injured leg. At that point, I was not offered any assistance or support. On my way back, a woman who appeared to be in charge of the facility approached me with the horse I had been riding. I saw her whipping the horse. She then brought the horse over to me and told me to get back on so that I could finish the ride. I clearly explained that after what had happened, I was very scared and did not want to get on any horse at that point. As a result, I had to **walk all the way back by myself with an injured leg.** No one came with me or helped me walk back. Even after I returned to the facility, no one came to ask how I was doing. I even had to ask for and find ice for my leg myself. What bothered me most was not only that I was injured, but that **I repeatedly asked the instructor to stop when I felt the situation was becoming unsafe, and I was not listened to. Then, after I was injured, there was a complete lack of care or concern.** When it comes to horseback riding, I believe safety and being able to trust the instructors are extremely important. Based on my experience here, I felt neither. For these reasons, based on my personal experience,I definitely do not recommend this place.

According to my daughter, kids were constantly falling off the swings at this so-called "camp" -- at one point even together with the swing itself. That alone is already alarming. But what's worse is that a grown man stepped on my daughter's bare foot so hard that she couldn't walk for three days. No one contacted me. Not a single call. Instead, the owner told my child that she was "fine" and dismissed the situation completely. When I confronted her after picking my daughter up, she became defensive and aggressive. Not only did she refuse to apologize, she actually tried to blame me... This is not just unprofessional -- it's dangerous. If you care about your child's safety, stay far away from this place!!!

The camp itself is such a wonderful place where the kids are learning Yoga, Karate, Art and enjoying many themed events. The location is an intimate setting, so it's not intimidating and it gives the kids an opportunity to create long lasting friendships. The families that join Ladybug Camp become regulars, so the kids see familiar faces all the time. I highly recommend Ladybug Camp.

Nature Center is great. Perfect trails for all ages. Restrooms and refreshments available. I did the Half mile boardwalk loop trail which is very shaded, so it wasn't feeling too hot. Very tropical. Felt like it was actually misting but no rain. Lots of water under the walkway. It's a Lush forest. Then I did the 1 mile loop prairie trail plus an extra 300 yard loop trail off the prairie trail. Overall a nice forest. Check it out if you haven't been. It's free and plenty of parking was available on a Saturday. They Even had a cleaning station with a water hose and foot scrubber to clean your shoes on the way out.

One thing that could be improved is the wildlife children's center needs a major deep clean. It doesn't look like it has ever been cleaned. There is so much dust everywhere and has lots of spiderwebs around the baseboards and underneath the furniture. Great spot to get a spider bite. Lots of the content and activities are old and out of date.
