Best barn around for the cost and amenities. Nice clean stalls, arena and round pen both lit. Easy access to trails and good turnout.

Davie Horse Boarding - Keeping our barn walkways clean

It's concerning to see that many of these positive reviews appear to come from friends, family, or…read moreacquaintances of the owner and manager--including comments from them directly. The majority of these individuals don't even board at the facility. I was there for six months and never saw any of them, which raises serious questions about the authenticity of these reviews. In my experience, the management was poor and communication was consistently lacking. There also seems to be an effort to remove or hide negative reviews rather than address legitimate concerns. Credit is often taken for things that were not told to us "borders" by management, while boarders are blamed and labeled as "problem clients" for issues that stem from miscommunication. For example: Sunday Turnout. Owner says no sunday turnout but I was told they don't do that but we can put our horses out. That rule was spread around by management and everyone got a different time. When owner found out it was our fault because we talk to each other? As someone who follow barn RULES!!! I found that crazy to me!!! When I was going by what I was told by MANAGEMENT! Many other issues have occured. I am just not stating it. But when you have about 16 horses that left the facility in less the two months that tell you something. Yet Manager goes running her mouth saying she kicked us out. There were only two kicked out for unfair reasons. I DID NOT GET KICKED OUT. I LEFT FOR THE SAFETY OF MY HORSES. And so happy I did. For Management to be Spreading lies is hilarious about me to make her feel better is so funny. Again majority that left for the safety of their horses. Not because they were kicked out. It's disappointing that concerns are not taken seriously, and instead, those who speak up are dismissed or pushed out. Ultimately, this reflects a lack of accountability and professionalism. They will say they kicked me out however they didn't and I have messages proving it. I initially said finances because I was worried about my horses, but once they were safe, I shared the real reason. Look in my messages to prove my point. Also yet again I was ignored by Owner. So no, I wasn't kicked out--neither were the others. Only two were, and for unfair reasons. About 20 horses have left--are you going to claim you kicked all of them out too? You spread lies more than truth. If you were so confident in urself you wouldn't offer free board for a month. Horse care well? Is that why my horse got the worse cut that split his lip that NEEDED VET CARE and nobody told me? I come to find out hours later!!!!! It is pretty noticable! Or how come when my horse was beating up the small one no one decided to have a conversation with me about splitting them up? No I had to do all that. You guy just let them go at it and my small one to get continues to get hurt. There a whole list and I have evidence and so does the other boarders who have left. You say you have a nutritionist yet whenever she suggest or give her knowledge and tools l your management ignores it and does whatever she wants. So are you really using one? Clients aren't even allowed to talk or discuss with her. This a bunch of bull in that statement. Again all the boarders that left on their OWN ACCORD have tons of proof of what we ate stating is true. If you like I can put it on here as another proof and let's see who is the liar in this situation. All your original borders are gone. In fact majority of them are doing the reviews. Like Laurie!!! Nobody made a turnout routine and did whatever we wanted. WE GOT told again by MANAGEMENT THAT WE CAN LET THEM OUT SUNDAY!!! If you gonna complain go to her and ask HER TO WHY. WE ALSO GOT PERMISSION FOR EXTRA HAY AND STUFF FROM THE OWNER. SO U GOING AROUND SAYING WE JUST DID IT?! We had a meeting and we even asked and u said it was fine!:) YOU LOVE TO BLAME THE BOARDERS BUT IT IS YOUR OWN MANAGEMENT.

Davie Horse Boarding (DHB) cares more about appearances than horses. Its all superficial. They will…read moresell you on how great they are but just wait. They don't want to hear about any problems- They will blow you off, especially if it involves your horse or its care. Management will make sure you know- you are the problem. Issues are NEVER resolved, management does not want to hear it and they are never accountable for their mistakes.   Quality of hay is always an issue. You will start out getting exactly what you want, but within a month you will notice the quality has changed and your horse won't eat it and they will start limiting the amount of hay given (usually only 1 pad). If your lucky your first month may be OK, but then again there was a horse that they forgot to feed for 2-3 week.   Management lacks knowledge of horses and their care, is unprofessional, makes inconsistent rules, and has no systems in place to assure your horse is cared for or safe. Horses are injured and you are never notified, nor the cause of the injury investigated.   The wellbeing of my horse will always come first. This barn may be attractive, but if you love your horse, do not come here.   Many of the positive reviews throughout the internet are from management and their friends. They are adept at removing negative reviews. They will tell you exactly what you want to hear, deny everything negative said, and turn concerns into "you are overreacting or being negative". What you see is superficial. Most won't see the truth for at least a month or when you start having concerns about your horse. Why risk it. When our trailer parked on the property for a fee, clearly included in our contract, did not go along with their " business plan" they terminated our boarding contract without verbal discussions or any advanced notice.   Management is known to bully boarders and retaliate for communicating openly, especially about your concerns. Open, honest communication does not exist & contracts are ignored. Because of her retaliatory nature, you fear for your horses safety.   That's part of why 20 boarders left in a very short time (January- April 2026). If you love your horse- Do not board at Davie Horse Boarding on SW 121st Ave.
