I purchased a groupon for Double Flush Stables and contacted them via text (as instructed on the groupon) I got an automated response stating all the [strict] rules then proceeded to schedule a date. Groupon's are not accepted on the weekends and so we only had weekday options. They get booked up fast and the earliest availability was one month out. On the day of our ride, we got a text an hour before the scheduled time stating our ride was cancelled due to the possibility of thunder storms. We tried to reschedule our ride for a closer date however it got pushed back another month. The stables had beautiful horses and other animals like goats, pigs and cows. We arrived a few minutes late and so we had to pay $20/ea to ride the horses. We rode the horses down a beautiful path in a park however we barely took pictures because we were told if we dropped anything the guide would charge us $20 for each time she had to get off the horse to retrieve the item. The trail ride was supposed to be 75 minutes but it was cut short. According to their rules, the wait time is deducted from the ride. We were 10 minutes late, and so we expected a 65 minute ride. We ended up riding for 45 minutes, so they actually deducted 30 minutes from the ride. I enjoy riding horses, therefore I enjoyed my time but I would not go back nor would I recommend these stables to others solely based on their lack of customer service. My advise to them would be to be more lenient. Smile. Don't be so abrupt, it definitely took away from the fun. read more

1st and foremost they hit their horses. And I mean HIT their horses . Secondly the place is an absolute dump. 3rd the owner is so brash , she doesn't have the 1st idea of what even good manners are . Let alone good customer service . I used to bored just horse here. For about 2 1/2 weeks. Within 24hours I came back to him with a lump on his neck the size of a softball. I made it clear if I ever found out anyone put their hands on my horse , we'd have a serious problem . I was worth more their than my weight I'm gold. Those that knew me, would attest to that. The owner's boyfriend got caught almost cheating with a woman that was kicking it to me as well so I told her to kick rocks. The dude got aggressive with me over "his customer " who bought 2 lessons from them in their lifetime, not to mention , even as a full board , mucked all the stalls in my barn from time of inception. Oh and apparently he wanted steroids from her as well. 2 real winners Their MO is to "seize your horse" , should you not pay, or try to call the cops on you for things you didn't do. Stay far clear if these people if for no other reason , then the fact that they hit their horses alone. Groupon is horrible and not used by the owner anymore so ignore the bad reviews! Our day started off with being introduced to our rides my wife got Gunther, I got Nora. We had a short lesson of how to handle our horses and more importantly how NOT to handle them. Our ride was wonderful with passerbys waving, seeing the nature trails from a different point of view and letting the horses be themselves -stopping when they want to, walking around puddles (cause they don't like having dirty feet either) and eating when they feel like it. Took my wife for Mother's Day on May 11. We had a great time ..... The horses are Giant horses, which were intimidating at first but it amazed us how well mannered they are. They follow the trail and know where to turn and go on their own. The trail tour was calming and peaceful. At 5:30 p.m. it was perfect. It's not too hot it's windy and nice temperature. I just don't understand why the ad is still up right now but they won't take it. I feel this is there way for you to purchase there full price ticket. They blame COVID for not accepting Groupon. We made an appointment and the owner canceled on us due to an unexpected emergency she then told us that groupon will refund our money however she redeemed the groupon and groupon will not refund our money. I have been looking into booking this Stable, and have to agree that the owner is horrible at communication. I am visiting family for Christmas and wanted to get her Groupon deal as a present for my sister, but for the past 48 Hours have received no response from the owner / manager. Horrible customer service. Purchased a Groupon, made an appointment, couldn't get one until 6 weeks ahead. The day came and looking at the forecast that morning it called for thunderstorms that evening, we were supposed to ride at 5:30. I called at 11 to find our what happens if it rains, voicemail said your message will go unanswered to text instead. I sent at least 5 texts an hour apart and I called back another 3 or 4 times. The time was getting closer and where I live in Hollywood it was raining. Still had bad forecast for Davie. Finally I texted again and said I would be cancelling because if the weather and I would like to reschedule for the next Friday. I did not get a text back until 10:30 that night. Saying she didn't have me on the schedule, but I missed the ride and that they would have contacted me if it was cancelled due to the weather. It was a really rude unprofessional text. This infuriated me. If I wanted to reschedule I would have to pay full price again. So I told her because of her appalling customer service that I don't want to reschedule and that I could've been a good customer and that I would contact Groupon or my credit card company to try to get my money back and that I would make sure I left a review about my experience. Of course then she tried to make nice. I just didn't answer back. I tried everything I could do early in the day to but screw anything up but no one ever got back to me. I then asked if you didn't see me on the schedule how could you tell me I lost my ride. She then came back at she found it and she was looking at the wrong day. Anyways, horrible experience with this company. It did not have to go bad like this. There is a way to speak to people. I was made to feel like I did something so wrong and that I was irresponsible. Beautiful and well-behaved horses take you on a leisurely walk through beautiful trails. It had been a while since I'd been in a saddle so was a bit apprehensive about mounting one of the giant horses they use. No worries though. I first found this place a few months ago on Groupon. I waited to schedule a ride until it was about to expire... found that I didn't read the fine print regarding when I could schedule. That was my fault. I ended up on the schedule, took my friend, and was in AWE of the beauty of the LARGE beautiful well-mannered horses. They truly are gentle giants!!! I enjoyed it so much that I went back the next day. I have been going as often as I can when I can find time between work and graduate school. It is very therapeutic for me! Christie, the owner, loves what she does, and loves her animals beyond words. She enjoys sharing her world with her customers. I have read some reviews where people were upset that they were late and couldn't ride. I love that policy!!! I don't know why people think that their time is more valuable than mine, or any of the other customers. So, if you're gonna go, leave early enough so that you can BE ON TIME! It takes a LOT of work to get the horses ready for people, and it's not fair to Christie, or the horses, to not arrive on time, or worse yet, not show up. Today I took my granddaughter and her friend for a Horse Ride. They had a wonderful time. The horses are friendly and well taken care of. In fact all of the animals at this facility are loved and cared for and you can see it in the patience and kindness of the owner / manager. Christy has a welcoming disposition is very friendly patient and kind with both the customers and the animals. I bought a groupon for a ride with them. They answered in a timely manner and the ride was definitely one to remember. You can tell they love the horses so much. The barn is well maintained and the owner is the only one making sure things run smoothly and can i tell you she's doing one hell of a job. The ride was super relaxing and as the ride was going i spoke to the owner and we had a very funny and real conversation. She loves her horses and you can tell that. This was my first time horseback riding. I wasn't sure what to expect. It was always something I wanted to try! But it always seemed like such an expensive experience.... I can't emphasize this enough: GO TO DOUBLE FLUSH STABLES. For everything we got to experience, it was incredibly affordable!! The staff was very nice and accommodating! It was clear that I was a newbie, but they were patient with me and taught me everything I needed to know. I never once felt scared riding along the trail. I really felt perfectly guided and safe with the knowledge I was given. It's all about following instructions!!! Really, if you do that, it'll all go smoothly. It's not complicated at all. The horses are so well-behaved, they make it easy. We went on a beautiful guided tour for over an hour. Along the way, I asked some questions about the horses and the responses really showed me how much they care about each and every one of those horses. My horse was Orchid. A 15 year old born February 8th! I loved those little details. All the horses were so beautiful and clean. You can tell they're taken care of amazingly well. Towards the end, we got to feed the horses some carrots (customers bring them if they want to). And that was really neat! I fed all the horses, not just Orchid. They were all so happy for that, haha. They also have a few other little animals around that were also really cute. If there's any tips I can give you... it's arrive 15 minutes early! Wear comfortable clothes (good shoes). And bring carrots for your horse buddy! Trust me, after the ride, you'll feel bonded, and really want to show your thanks to them! Definitely will go back! I loved it so much! read more

Found this place online in hopes that my husband and I could go horseback riding while on our honeymoon. My husband is 6 foot 8 so finding a place with draft horses where he can ride too was awesome! The price was pretty expensive, but again it fit our needs so we were willing to pay it. My issue is that we are here on our honeymoon, originally from Chicago and when reading their policy it states that there are no refunds for weather cancellations, only rescheduling. Now I completely understand if we were to cancel that we would not be refunded, but if the business cancels because of weather, because it's not safe for the horses or guests we should not be penalized for that. While we'd love to reschedule, again we're from Chicago and have no plans of being back in Fort Lauderdale. If you're based on a state where it literally rains more than it doesn't, and own a business which is going to attract a lot of tourists you should probably have something in place for those coming from out of town, especially when you have to book about a week out to ride during a weekend. read more

I booked a trail ride for myself and my elementary aged son during the pandemic. I booked on a Wednesday for the only slot left they had on the next Friday morning at 9:30 am. In the interim, Broward Schools announced that Friday morning starting at 8:00 am they would be allowing parents to go pick up their child's laptop so they could start their virtual learning while being quarantined. I got to the school at 7:50 AM to wait in a line 100 people long already (first come first serve). Finally got his computer and RUSHED to the barn so we would make the ride. I should mention he was SO excited for this day as he has been coming to work with me every day sitting by himself reading because we weren't shut down or remote. I texted the owner that I was running late because I was picking up equipment for my sons education. I arrived at 9:33 am. As I pulled up I was informed I would have to pay an additional $40 CASH as a "waiting fee" in order to ride! The other riders had not left yet the ride hadn't started, she was still putting extra equipment away and getting set up. But I was told I needed to cough up $40 cash because I was THREE minutes late. I did not have the cash on me - nor could I afford another $40 on top of the $110 I already paid in advance for the ride. You see, I'm a single mom, I WAS working three jobs to make sure I could provide for my son. Well, because of this pandemic I lost TWO of those jobs. Yet I was still willing to drop $110 to support another small business and to give my son a well deserved reward for his excellent behavior all week. Now I had to explain to my visibly upset son why we were going back home - because we were THREE MINUTES late because I had to go get his computer from school so he could continue learning and I couldn't afford to spend another $40 (for a total of $150) on a 75 minute trail ride. I texted the woman asking for a refund of the $110 since we didn't go on the ride and she REFUSED to refund the money I paid her. Essentially saying I "chose" to not go on the ride so I don't get a refund and I could have paid the $40 to go. NO i COULD NOT have paid it 1) I didn't have the cash she demanded and 2) I could barely afford to pay the $110 to do it to begin with. People should be coming together and making concessions to their "business model" during this time - not preying on people and trying to profit off of someone else's misfortune. This barn should be ashamed of themselves for their behavior and treatment towards people during this time. read more

Very sketchy and unprofessional business. I had visited for helping out and was told I would need $200 of training to be allowed on the property. However, a few days later they advertise they are looking for volunteers. I commented on their ad and even mentioned maybe there was a misunderstanding, but instead of clarity I was insulted and my message was removed and I was blocked. I never said a negative comment. I have volunteered for ranches since I was a girl, never have I been treated this way. The only difference is I brought my step son with me and I should mention he is dark in color and I am not. Not sure if that was why I now would have to pay a fee to volunteer. read more

So sad I really wanted to visit the stable but purchased through groupon and they didn't want to honor my voucher when I tried a couple of times to schedule a appointment. 1st time I tried to schedule they were booked then I tried again it was to hot for the horses which I totally understand there well being comes 1st. Then my companion had to go on a work trip. When she came back from her trip i got right on trying to schedule something at the beginning of dec on the 12 before my voucher expires on December 24 again they can't schedule me ther booked and my voucher is expiring They tell me I can pay $40 To b scheduled I was very upset because u r trying to get more $. U don't want to honor my voucher and give me a hard time. Then I get a extension till Jan 14 on the voucher and I contact flush via text which sucks. And I still get the run around for them to say again ther booked till the 14 jan of I wanna b scheduled I have to still pay $40 since my voucher expires on the 14 and they conveintly for them have a open date on Jan 15 to schedule me but I still have to pay due to the 1 day difference after the expiration. When I did obide by the policy for them to still not wana schedule me due to ther poor scheduling personally not wanting to schedule me purposely being difficult. Giving me the run around to get more $ jus a disgusting way to run a business the Customer service lady was being snappy and condescending via tex so disrespectful and un called for very sad. The way I was spoken to via Tex wen ima very sweet respectful person I was never trying to frustrate any1 I just really wanted to redeem my voucher and they jus did not want to honor it!
