He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. When I later tried to obtain the missing records, Fritz told me in writing that he had been giving people "marching orders to ignore" me. I subsequently removed previous negative reviews in good faith because I believed he was going to help me obtain the paperwork, but the issue still wasn't resolved. I ultimately had to contact SÚCHNO in Slovakia myself to recover Bono's pedigree information and learn the documented working bloodlines behind a dog I had already purchased. I went from 2 dogs I have had for 15 & 16 years who were complete angels, an American staffordshire and a black lab to hell on wheeeels. She has been kicked out of day care, kicked out of doggie academy programs and weekend warrior programs. I have taken several training courses and classes, with no major impact. I have changed my lifestyle for this cute yet satanic creature. Yes, her nickname is baby satan. Overnight she started showing nervous signs of aggression --- again she is deaf and startles so easily. Holly and her trainers have turned my precious little baby monster into a working dog. She knows about 15 hand signals. I never thought I would be the type of person to send my dog off to summer boot camp but wow it really worked. She stayed a little longer than the 21 days but again she is hearing impaired and her breed is extremely stubborn. Even with that watching her work with the trainers brought tears to my eyes. She actually wants to focus and complete her tasks. Holly has showed me how to work with my 2 year old doggie and she took such amazing care of the training and handling of us both. The trainers use positive reinforcement training which in my mind is the only way to go. My dog absolutely adores going to "school" can't wait to get to his obedience 2 and agility 2 classes. The trainers truly care about teaching both you and your dog the correct way to become a "team" in a positive way. The longer we go there the better my connection has become with my little guy. The facility is indoors, air conditioned which in South Florida is a major positive. They offer boarding and a variety of private and group classes --- obedience, agility, tricks, animal acting, puppy classes, and even camp for puppies and teenage puppies! George is the absolute BEST. Our dog Goose was never poorly trained, but we did have some concerns…read more We live in an apartment building and sometimes, out of excitement, Goose would run out of the door when we got home. We also have a dog that barks at other dogs to play, which can scare other families and dogs of course. George helped us learn techniques that involved treats, coin bottles (can't spoil all of his tricks), and just LOVE. Goose now responds to "wait", "back", "sit", "NO bark" and knows where home is and will lead us there when we say "let's go home". We only had four lessons with George but George is so great, he told us we could do tune-ups as well (shorter lessons just to make sure everything is in order). Why is george is the best?! He's a nice person, who cares about dogs like NO other. He even took our dog on a walk with us to show us tips and tricks to have Goose walk side by side instead of pulling on the leash as prior. It does require practice with your dog, that's not to say it doesn't, but it's very simple and honestly, we never expected Goose to be so trained so quickly! I highly highly recommend George!!!
