I requested contact February 24th and it's been 17 days the only thing I got was a request for my number. And since that I have still not heard back. I understand being busy or booked but a response to acknowledge the customer would be a step in the right direction. I don't mind waiting 17 days if it's because you are booked out that many days. Fabian is the new "dog whisperer". We have a 10 month old Samoyed who is the light of our lives. He recently completed One Paw Forward's Board and Train program. Before Fabian, Charley ruled our house! Samoyeds are notoriously a difficult breed to train because they're very stubborn and very smart working dogs. They love attention 24/7, and will get up to all sorts of mischief to get attention I was hesitant at first because I didn't want to be without my boy for 24 days, but Fabian reassured me that he would be in excellent hands. I really wanted a trainer that used no negative reinforcement or gimmicks to get a dog to respond. After researching several trainers, I knew that Fabian would be a great fit for my sweet and exuberant Charley! Fabian truly loves and understands dogs. He speaks their language. His love and understanding of dogs is obvious. Remarkably, Charley came home a completely different dog ( in the best possible way). I reached out to Fabian for help with behavioral issues with a 2 year old yorkie. I brought her to live with me after having spent the majority of her life in her crate. Well I had to send my baby; a Dogo Argentino; Chloe so knowing who I was going to send her to was too on my list. But all you get are recommendations and reviews. I saw Fabian's reviews as very position and the only negative review was handled by him with great professionalism. This is I picked and what can I say; the best decision I could have made. Chloe was away for his 24 day program and I can say he did everything he said he would do. I loved that when he was asked about visiting Chloe during the four days he was honest and said "I don't recommended it but it's your dog". She went to boot camp and now we are following up at home. He really took the time to get to know her and figure her out during the boot camp, and her behavior improved, but as she has gotten healthier and more comfortable new issues have arisen. Over a year ago we adopted Hank from Animal Services. Happy, friendly, loving... we got really lucky with him. Then, as time went on, he started adopting less than favorable habits. Chewing up shoes when we left him at home alone, jumping on kids at the dog park, pulling at the leash during leisurely walks, going into hyper pulling mode in high-traffic areas, and showing signs of anxiety at the sight of an elevator. So, with a big upcoming move ahead of us, we decided to correct some of Hank's behaviors to keep him calm and safe over the months to come. I called Fabian on a whim. I didn't know anything about his service, but after taking a look at his website, he seemed to offer the right kind of training. Everything is based on positive reinforcement and Fabian's calm energy proved to be a perfect match for us and Hank. The consultation was free and Fabian showed up to assess the situation and learn about the goals we had for Hank. Right off the bat, we liked him. He listened really well and his previous years working as a social worker seemed to prepare him to understand humans as well as dogs! Every week we do an hour with Fabian. Just as much as he helps train Hank, he trains us too. We've learned a number of great tips from Fabian and Hank's improved on his pulling, his sit and stay, and his overall confidence as a dog. Since Fabian's training is designed to help Hank in certain specific areas, we've even met him on Lincoln Road to address the high-traffic hyper pulling.
