There were very time efficient, just enough time to browse the mall (less than 10 minutes away lol). When I picked her up, it was like I got a new dog! My baby smelled SO good!! Unfortunately I had to ask my boyfriend to call again since he speaks Spanish, and was surprised to hear that for a 10 pound short hair Italian greyhound it would cost $40. In Wynwood where the prices are 3x the price of anything in Kendall, our groomer charged $25. It would have been nice to have pricing listed online or ability to book online without calling. The price makes sense for a long haired dog like a golden doodle, but seems steep for anything with shorter.

I trusted them with FOUR of my dogs, and when I addressed what happened, the groomer, Mafer, didn't even want to acknowledge that she had done this. To top it all off, she didn't even finish grooming my last dog because she said she "didn't want to cut him." After 6 years of being a loyal customer and trusting this company with my dogs, this is absolutely unacceptable. When it comes to our pets, we trust groomers to care for them and treat them as if they were their own. Today completely broke that trust for me. I will NOT be bringing my dogs back. They lost a loyal customer today. Please be careful who you trust with your fur babies. Based on my experience today, I would recommend taking your dogs somewhere else. ******* UPDATE******** Your response makes absolutely no sense to me. Whether my dogs were groomed six months ago or six weeks ago does NOT justify them being cut to the point of BLEEDING. If my dogs were as severely matted as you are claiming, then as the professionals, you should have called me and explained the situation BEFORE continuing with a shave so close that my dogs ended up with cuts and irritated skin. You could have stopped the grooming rather than continue to the point where they were hurt. Let's also be very clear: I was not upset because my dogs were shaved short. I was upset because they came home CUT, BLEEDING and uncomfortable. There is a huge difference. I trusted your company with my dogs for SIX YEARS. Instead of simply taking accountability for what happened, your response seems to place the blame on how much time had passed since their last appointment. That does not address the actual issue. And if this was simply normal irritation from shaving a matted dog, why were the grooming charges waived? My dogs cannot speak for themselves, so I will. I stand by my review and by my decision to no longer trust Poochie on Your Block with my dogs.

We only do a sanitary trim and nail trim, so we're not familiar with the shaving other reviews have mentioned. I'm usually pretty particular about the instructions. We only remove one star because his nails are regularly cut too short and he often bleeds while playing the days after a grooming.

Unfortunately, Rosemary had a very bad attitude and made a completely unnecessary personal comment, telling my boyfriend that my dog was "as difficult as myself." She then added that I am "difficult" because I ask for the price every time I bring my dogs in for grooming. First of all, asking for the price before a service is completely reasonable, especially when the price can vary. There is absolutely no reason for a grooming professional to make a personal remark about a customer simply for asking a basic question. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been a customer for years and have never had an issue at the Brickell location, aside from one previous incident where another customer actually had to tell me that they were giving her my dog. That was already concerning, but I continued going because, overall, I had been happy with the service. This experience with Rosemary, however, was unacceptable. Customers should be treated with respect, and comments like these are completely inappropriate and unnecessary. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because long-time customers deserve better treatment.
