This was my first time reaching out to this company they came through with the next day appointment. The girl came. She was very nice and attentive. I thought she was listening and paying attention, but unfortunately, she did both of my dogs and made mistakes on both of them and they weren't there for mistakes. They were the same mistake done on both dogs. I thought it was a language barrier, but I even went to her truck knocked on it and let her know in Spanish. Please do not cut the dogs hair leave it the way that it is on her head. Just focus on her body and her legs. Even after hearing me be sad/upset because my four-year-old's hair was completely chopped off after four years of growing, a beautiful, long hair man bun. I didn't get upset, but I did get upset after the second cut, which was the female a female cocker spaniel should not be bald and specially after I went to your truck and asked you personally please not to cut her head like she did the boy. She said ok ofcourse you have a "mini cut anyway" I then reach out to who I thought was the manager or the person in charge of communications and she begins to tell me that I should've showed her a picture regardless if I showed her a picture or not, it wouldn't have made the difference of her actually listening to what I was saying. Full price was charged not even an apology or a credit for the next time. I deal with customers all day and this is not right. For those of you that have dogs and know the feeling of growing and tending to your pups, beautiful coat of hair takes time dedication and money. For someone to just come over and completely chop off four years of your dog boys hair, and three years of your females. Overall, just sad with the way they handled things and was not even responded to after the last message. read more

I was really hoping for a great experience with Pooch on the Block especially since I booked them to groom my senior dog who has limited mobility. While the groomer arrived on time and was courteous, I was very disappointed to find that my dog had been nicked several times during the haircut. What made it worse is that no one mentioned it to me at the time--it wasn't until later that day, that I noticed the small wound. With an older dog, extra care and gentleness are absolutely essential, and I expected a higher level of attention and communication. Accidents can happen, but failing to inform me was unacceptable. I trusted them with a vulnerable pet, and that trust was shaken. I sincerely hope they take more precautions with senior or special-needs animals in the future and are more upfront when something goes wrong. read more

Isis does the mobile grooming with her assistant. They are always puntual, professional, friendly. Isis plays with my dog before and after her grooming. So my finicky dog actually loves her! Hyper communicative about any delays (I received a text and two phone calls with updates), which I really appreciate since I've experienced other mobile groomers who just leave you in the dark. Yasmin is also a FABULOUS groomer. Lady on the phone told me I did not have an appt & then later told me that they mixed up my appt with another person. Yasmin gave my 10 month old Goldendoodle her first groom today and did a fantastic job with my baby of a pup. She was on time and very communicative regarding her arrival. Lucy (my dog) doesn't like clippers, her ears touched or the blow dryer, but Yasmin took her time with her. Lucy had knots that I didn't know about in between in toes and in other areas. Yasmin spent almost two hours giving her a full groom! She must have the patience of a saint. We are super appreciative she got Lucy's coat where it needs to be and will definitely book again regularly to prevent any matting in the future.
