We had a few good experiences at Pet Paradise (Orange St., Davie), but our last visit on May 20, 2024 was unacceptable. Their policy requires pets staying more than one day to receive a bath. Despite giving over five hours' notice (when only three were required), staff initially refused due to "short staffing." After insisting firmly--but never disrespectfully--our dog was eventually bathed. Later, when trying to book again, we were told we were no longer welcome because an employee "ended up crying" during that call. Management never contacted us directly, nor have we received any explanation to this day (Sept. 15, 2025). This reflects a lack of professionalism and accountability. Also, their camera system is misleading: it only covers outdoor areas, so unless you watch 24/7, you may barely see your pet. Good experiences at first, but the way this was handled shows poor training, communication, and customer service. read more

I have come to this location many times before , and my experience has always been great . I have boarded and doggy daycare for my baby and it's always a pleasant experience through the process . I always do pay the extras but it doesn't seem like they do the updates as often even though you're paying for them . Even though I did NOT board my dog here, my dog nephew was there. When hurricane Dorian was approaching Pet Paradise called me as the emergency contact to pick up my nephew. We had our free day of day care. First I'd like say that everyone was so nice and helpful. The place is clean and the kennels clean. Now for my take on it. First off it 40 bucks a day. There is early drop-off but your dog will sit in a kennel the entire time with barking dogs u til 9 when it opens and even then ur dog will wait in the kennel wondering wth is happening to them. Then about 930 ish mo made her appearance in the yard, this is after waiting in the noisy kennel since 8. The dogs mainly sniffed another and walked around. Not much playing. The staff is out there with them but very little interaction with the dogs such as throwing balls or playing tug o war etc. The yards are huge so no reason not to have some activities to engage them with. There are a couple lil pools but I didn't see one dog in them and it was hot. No humans trying to introduce them to it. The areas are big and 90 percent full sun. Maybe some sail shades to create a cooler play area would help. The two fans high up poles weren't doing much. After like 20 min the dogs go in. I didn't see mo out again for nearly an hour. There were many extended times with nobody out there. Like 40 minutes no dogs. I finally had enough and picked her up at 1 ish. I had told them mo is a rescue pit and friendly but needed someone to help her learn to be a dog and play. I read that u can ask them for stuff like this if needed and they will try to help but ii only saw her let out on her own with no idea what to be doing. Maybe I was expecting more, more playtime not being locked in a scary noisy kennel. I was expecting more actual play. I can let her wander around my yard for free. I don't want to diss them as said they are nice and seem to genuinely love their job and dogs. Give it a try. For me..prolly not again as like I said its 40 bucks and she gets more activity at home. Ps...there are 3 seperate large areas. They can open into 2 or one big yard. Why they dont let the lil dogs out in one part and the big dogs in the 2 other parts so they can all be out instead of sitting in cages?​ Pss.. there are no cams in the kennel so u really can't see them all the time. Pet Paradise has been my go to boarding and day camp option for my dog for the past 2+ years. The staff is by far the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met and my dog is always super excited to go for the day or night. I know, she can't talk and actually tell me that, but if you have a dog you would understand! My dog tends to be a little difficult at times, but they are great with her! They know me and my dog by name every time I walk in and are super accommodating to meet your needs. Not to mention this place is spotless every time I have been in there. For a place that hosts that many dogs and cats, it never smells like dog and doesn't have lots of dog hair all over the place. I always get a report card when my dog stays overnight and I know they are a phone call away if there are ever any issues. I really like that I can check on her with their online webcams and hopefully catch her out running in the yard with her friends. Dog care definitely doesn't come cheap in South Florida, and to be honest this place is no exception. With that being said, I am not one to leave my dog with just anyone or in a place with people I don't trust, so to me the few extra dollars I could be saving to go somewhere else isn't worth it when my dog and I are treated so well here. They have a great loyalty program that you can accumulate points for each time you spend money. So it's a nice perk when you get enough points for a free ice cream treat for your pup or even work your way up to a free nights stay. I called to inquire about a stay for my dog and I informed them that she takes medications for her heart. The man was extremely disrespectful and ended up hanging up on me when I asked for his name. He did not know the answer to the question and indicated he was the manager on duty so I asked who would know the answer to that question. It is discrimination if they are not willing to work with my dog who has a heart murmur and needs necessary medication. I am floored with the lack of customer care, service and empathy this agency demonstrated to me in today's phone call. Once again Pet paradise blew me away with the amazing quality and care for my dog Rocky and cat Belle. Rocky has been there a few times so I was sure he would enjoy it. My cat on the other hand has never been boarded and is a bit feisty to say the least. I enjoyed the camera in the cat room which gave me ease being able to see her even on vacation. The staff were very honest about Belle's stay and although feisty they continued to try and form a bond with her! I must have called at least 10 times and each time they made sure my questions were answered! It's been two years since my initial review and I'm popping back on here to reiterate this place is the absolute worse. Because of the damage done to my dog (which is already a delicate breed, Great Dane) and all the mediations he had to go through and treatments he had to go through to cure his kennel cough AND his small intestine infection caused by this place (I have all diagnosis and receipts) FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT he will forever be on a restricted and EXTREMELY expensive diet. I was disappointed in this facility. I had boarded my dog for a week because of recommendations I got from three people. During the week I had watched my dog out in the splash area through the online cameras. It took the lady with glasses and a ponytail several minutes to leash my dog. When she finally leashed him she was almost dragging my dog out of the area. Another day I noticed my dog out in the play yard but this time a man with what looks like a bandana across his head effortlessly leashed my dog and walked him out (good job). When I picked up my dog I was told they could not bathe him because he was snippy with them. If anyone knows my dog he loves being around people so I thought it was strange but possible that he could be snippy if he felt threatened. I noticed right away my dog was hoarse and could barely cry. When I got home we gave him a bath right away and noticed a red rash/bites on his torso area. It took five days for him to get his voice back and for the red rash/bites to go away. My dog Charlie has visited this location for doggie daycare three times as of today. I do like that they have lots of play time and I feel that the staff does care about my pet. They are very kind, listen to me and are patient. Of course I love the "report cards" at the end of the day. However, I don't care for the fact that customers are not allowed to see the kennels or visit the whole property - I realize some of this may be for security reasons but I am not certain I would board her there for a vacation without being able to see the area she'd live in for days. They recently built a window through which you can see the daycare kennels, but they keep it covered. The daycare kennels are chain link and do not have a visual barrier between dogs. If I could make a suggestion for the owner or manager, please create a barrier for these kennels, for both the safety and comfort of our pets. For anyone out there reading this review, each pet paradise location is different as far as I know. I have friends that board in Naples, Jacksonville, etc and the kennels, play areas, etc are different. read more

I visited today to get information and the young lady with the curly ponytail and glasses was unnecessarily rude. Perhaps her family owns this place and that is why she is still an employee. My dog Rocky visited this place in July for a week and I was pleased, I saw that attention, and care was perfect. This month (August) I left Rocky again for a week, It's true that they informed me that they saw blood on the floor and another time they told me that Rocky had vomited. I call them twice and the second time the lady told me that if I want she gave him chicken and rice, I reacted immediately because I wrote in the information, that we have to provide them, that Rocky has a severe allergy to food (proteins) and requested that gave him only the food that I provided for him ( he only can eat Duck, Venison, Rabbitt, and Salmon). When I picked up him ( August 18th) and arrive home I found that Rocky had (still has) a severe allergy ( also blood in several areas) on his body because somebody gave him chicken. Obvious it wasn't only one time. Besides, his front legs were swollen and there was a bloody wound in the area. If they request that we bring the food what is the reason that they give our pet another food? On the other hand, I was trying to see Rocky on the webcam several times every day ( starting at 7 am) and it never happened. I saw several dogs for a few minutes and that's it. Today I went to the Veterinary (Rasberry Clinic (954)436 5150) and the doctor prescribed him several medications to resolve the allergy. I paid a lot of money ($558) for 7 days (meaning $74. per day + $40 bath) in order that this team takes care of my dog. He was healthy. Also, the first time that I left my dog in July, I paid ($634) for 12 days, or $49.50 per day + $40 bath I'm really concerned I don't know what happens to this society. Nobody care. I was super excited to use this facility until I realized that your cameras DON'T in fact work, or certainly not accessible from any browser. The real kicker is how rude your online chat representative was to me just now. Definitely NOT bringing in my dog. As a user experience specialist, I can tell you how disconcerting it is when you advertise and promote heavily that I can view my dog live via your webcams, only to find out that is not true. Apparently, I can only use Internet Explorer which is a DISCONTINUED web browser. Microsoft now calls it EDGE. But on Edge, nor Chrome, nor Safari, do your cameras work, at least not for your Ft. Lauderdale location. Other locations such as Jacksonville DO work... but not Ft. Lauderdale/Davie. read more

We took both our dogs here for a practice run before our wedding where they will stay there for an extended period of time. The faculty is very clean and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The thing that stuck out to me most was their attention to detail as far as food schedules and the medicine that was needed to be given to one of the dogs. I have boarded my dog at two locations and thought this location would be great, too. I am very disappointed in this location. 1. They force you to purchase a bath for your dog upon checking out. 2. I didn't realize until I already drove away that they didn't forget to charge me for the bath, but they did forget to bathe my dog. 3. I don't think they gave my dog any water while she was there. She kept crying in the car so I stopped and got her a cup of water and she drank til her sides were bulging. So I paid for a $15 non existent bath and they didn't give my dog water. Maybe there is a water shortage in Davie, FL. When I tried to call the next day at 5:30pm, I got the recording saying they are closed, even though right on the website it says they close at 6pm on weekdays. I've been taking my 2 Golden-doodles to Pet Paradise Ft Lauderdale location over a year now- I always ask for more affordable packages that I have to purchase for both Dogs. I only bring them 3 days weekly when I work from home They don't have or offer any options aside from what their "Corporate" allows and the Staff basically recites the "Corporate" packages back to you. There is no Flexibility to purchase a more affordable weekly Package for 5 days which is much more Affordable and Rollover the "UN-used" days that I don't need during the Week to the Weekends. I have asked on many occasions if this was possible as a Weekly regular customer the only option I have for both Dogs is to Purchase the 4 day package which is $30 more. It would be more appreciated if "Corporate" would show their frequent Customers appreciation and loyalty since we're spending our Money with them and there are so many other Choices and Options to take our Pets. Thought I would share since I'm sure there are other Dog Parents like me who use this Facility. I am looking around for other affordable options so I can keep taking my Dogs for some Fun Daycare playtime. read more

Sent my dog here for a week. He came home with kennel cough and a injured trachea. I wouldn't recommend this place! When we called to ask how long the dog has had this cough, they said there were no medical records listed! They do not watch over your dog! He hasn't stopped coughing or sneezing all week now.
