Been coming here for training sessions for my kid. Located on Opa Locka Blvd, this indoor soccer…read morefacility is a little off the beaten path and parking can be a little wonky but you can't beat indoor soccer options especially when in the unpredictable South Florida weather. Inside is very spacious and has 4 large fields which are available to rent. Each one is separate and they even had another room for what looks like pickle ball. All the areas are fully enclosed so no worrying about balls or other items flying into other areas. There is food and beverages being offered but I will say go at your own risk. Didn't look like food was their focus as it shouldn't be but since it being offered then standards should at least be met. I wasn't impressed but your miles may vary. But food aside the location is a great option to bring your kids, soccer team, or even host a birthday party. There should definitely be more indoor soccer places like this around.

The City of West Miami Recreation Center, also know as The Rec, is the jewel of the City of West…read moreMiami. It is a fenced park that includes a baseball field (kid size), two full basketball courts, a tennis court and a racquetball court, a tiny gym, and two ballrooms. If you had the pleasure to have The Rec as your voting site, then you know what I am talking about. I used to play basketball regularly on the basketball courts, but a knee injury limits my time on the sport. Nevertheless, the park is pretty quiet, and it's a comfortable place to play sports. I like not finding beer bottles or glass laying around, like at some other parks. Also, The Rec is only open to the residents of West Miami, so no crackheads are allowed. Of the other amenities available, the ballrooms are worth to mention. They are available for rent, one of them comes with a small kitchen, and they have been recently built. The rest of the amenities are also available, although you may have to check with the office for available times, since they are used for private lessons. If you live in the City of West Miami, then you must have stopped by The Rec at some point in time. If you are not a resident, then you can access the facilities with a resident of the city. Whichever way you choose to enter The Rec, you are guaranteed to have a great time.

The basketball courts are very well lit and impeccably maintained. They do have a small area that's available to rent for private parties but since the supply is limited it is strongly suggested to reserve ahead of time. This venter is one of the best parts of West Miami and you'll find that it's quite enjoyable and not as congested as other community centers. It's a great spot to do laps around or even teach your kid how to ride bike without training wheels. It's got a little bit for everyone and it's centrally located so accessibility isn't an issue. I can't emphasize enough on how pleasant it is to have such a clean neighborhood park that the community can use happily.

The place is really cute with lots of slides, xbox games, a movie simulation ride, and more. They offer a hotdog cart for an extra price. They were Venezuelan style hotdogs and these were tasty. They also offer pizza, tequenos, and sodas. Also included is a balloon arch and the set up looked super nice. The two employees serving the food were not as friendly, but the rest of the employees were very friendly. I highly recommend this place for a kids birthday party.

NPS = 7 Relatively…read morenice soccer field in Wynwood. And I mean relatively because when you really analyze Wynwood, you have to do it from a hipster view of things. A group of friends and I have been playing at this field on Thursdays, and sometimes I feel we play at this field more from convenience to all the friends that live in the area than for the field itself. Do not get me wrong, the guy that runs this shop is AWESOME. But the fields themselves...could use some work. The fields are VERY warped and not even. Even when it rains, there are "turf potholes" where water accumulates. The outdoor fields are also not as large as one would hope...but whatever, they get the job done. I have DEFINITELY been to better soccer fields and more well-kept fields. Additionally, Wynwood Soccer does NOT allow cleats. But...they rarely check. Just please, out of respect for others: do NOT wear cleats. Protect the field a little bit. The indoor side of things are not as bad. It is cool they have an indoor field and I heard kids can even have a birthday party there. The place also sells beer and Gatorade. If you ask nicely, I am sure they can play music to your liking in the exterior while you play. All in all, given that it is Wynwood, this is an "okay" field. It is about $100 an hour so if you play a 5v5, it comes out to...well, you can do the math. Catch me here on Thursday nights because...well, frankly I don't have a choice. Lol

Decent park for soccer. My husband plays Wednesday nights and they love it! They have turf fields…read moreand some are in better shape then others. The first field in the front of the park that is closest to the concession stand has a few divots and holes in the field. The field in the back right (closest to the pool) is in better shape and is the field I would recommend. When it rains, fields don't drain that well and even when there is the smallest amount of rain, there are HUGE puddles that are hard to get around that are on the way to the back fields. The price is reasonable at about $7 per player per hour. And leave your cleats at home because they aren't allowed. What I HATE about this park is that they do not allow dogs!!! Seriously... It's a PARK!! They made me leave with my dog and I couldn't watch my hubby play one time. A park that doesn't allow dogs is PATHETIC! Concession stand has a $10 minimum so bring a drink unless you want to treat your buddies to refreshments too! If you have kids, there's a little playground by the field closest to the concession stand so they will be entertained for 10 minutes until they get bored.

I'm still not absolutely sure where the parking lot for it is. My GPS led me a bit astray once I was in the neighborhood so I just used the parking lot for the golf club. The staff here seem friendly enough, but they don't allow cleats on the field. They allowed us to play that one time because we didn't know beforehand, but they're strict about the rule otherwise. There are other places that do allow them but are more expensive. The main attracting point about this place is the cost. It's about $8 a person for an hour and that's damn good for a field that size. Trust me. They sell sports drinks and snacks at the cafe and they take credit cards as payment with a $10 minimum, so bring cash if you don't want to be forced to buy a drink. I might be inclined to come back here because I own turf shoes that I can use, but I paid good money for my top of the line cleats and I prefer using them rather than my cheap-o turf shoes. 5 stars for price and size of field, 3 stars for the cleat situation. Math.
