I had guests from out of town and thought Miami Children's Museum would be a fun activity for their 6 years old girl, and I was not wrong. The Museum has vibrant colors, playgrounds and full of fun activities where the child can have fun for a couple of hours. I will keep this on the must to do list of activities when I have guests out to town with kids. They will appreciate it.

Such a neat fully immersive and interactive museum. There are so many hands on activities for the kids to do and a wide variety of occupations highlighted throughout. Our 4 year old loved it and was able to roam around independently with a watchful eye. The weekends are busy and I wish we would have gone on the sensory friendly Saturday because it is a bit overwhelming and overstimulating If you're the least bit sensitive or neurodivergent. Nonetheless I would definitely recommend this place and would totally get a membership if we lived here.

Miami Children's Museum is super cute and a great spot for kids. The exhibits are well thought out, interactive, and perfect for different age groups. It's a good size -- big enough to spend a couple of hours without feeling overwhelming. Bonus: my bank offers free museum passes once a month, so we got in at no cost. The A/C was a lifesaver, and everything was clean and well maintained. The only thing that made me nervous was the railing on the second floor. It's very high up (20-40 feet by my guess), and if you have little ones who like to climb, you'll definitely be keeping a close eye on them. Overall, a beautiful museum and a fun, educational outing for families. We'll be back.

This is a really cool place, almost like Wannado City! Prices for Florida residents are $18, normally it's $20 something I believe. Parking is $2 per hour. They have so much to do for the little ones. Very interactive. We will be back!

Decided to take the grandkids on the weekend. This was our first time and we had such a wonderful time. They have different prices based on whether you are a Florida resident, a Miami Dade resident, or a Veteran, etc. which are interesting options. The museum has a lot of play make-believe areas. as well as sensory targetted areas and quiet rooms. staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. To eat they only have a subway which is overpriced if you go by regular subways on the outside. They have plenty of outdoor seating, and employees were rude and barely spoke English so got upset if you did not speak Spanish. not the nicest at all for a place that receives many tourists.. The museum is not big but it is fun to spend a few hours with the kids, they also have a gift shop if you want to buy souvenirs.

Our family enjoyed the children's museum located on Watson Island Park in Miami. The fee is a bit expensive at $26, $18 for Florida residence, and free for children under 12 months. Parking fee is $2 an hour. They offer many exhibits and educational activities for the kids. We spent about three hours at the museum. They do a have a gift shop and a Subway sandwich restaurant. They also have an outdoor picnic area.

This museum is very interactive! Here are some tips to ensure you and your family have a good time. - It's very interactive, meaning it's for kids and adults to bond over the different activities/rooms. If you have one child, be prepared to engage with them until they feel comfortable possibly joining other kids. No staff members are watching every room or every child (which shouldn't be their responsibility). - If you're taking your children to this museum, ensure you are watching your child. Depending on their age there are many rooms where objects can be thrown. - For food, there is only a subway. So you can eat before coming to this museum or take some snacks with you. - They have sensory book-bags for kids who become overstimulated with sounds, a lot of people, etc -You will need to pay for parking. They use an app, you pay per hour. This museum is so colorful and can be a learning experience for younger children.

I'm so conflicted about this review because I think this museum can have great potential! Our 1 year old enjoyed his time but so many things could be improved/changed here Pros: - Cool exhibits - Friendly staff members -Clean bathrooms -Dr Seuss area with books for children to whine down -Different themed events throughout the year - Plenty of hand sanitizer stations all in working order Cons/things to be improved: - From the moment we entered until the moment we left we were all sweating! It was hotter inside than it was outside, it honestly makes me not want to go back at all - Some toys were out of order - Parking is not free, even if you're a member. - There's no cafeteria or place indoors where you can eat your food other than a tiny Subway. I can't imagine going during the summer months and having to not only bring a packed launch but having to eat it in the Scorching heat outside with no fans/ shaded area! - A covered splash pad/zone area would be incredible and little ones would go crazy for it - Earlier opening times. By 10am we've already lived 3 lives with our son and other family with kids agree

The peanuts exhibit didn't have the materials for each station for kids to actually play.

I had been wanting to go here based on pictures of the museum. However it's only nice in pictures. There's NO attendants at the stations meaning when the kids are done playing with materials and they just leave them thrown somewhere, when the next child comes in to play there's no materials left. For example, the mini grocery store had almost no food in the market because it was thrown elsewhere. The Peanuts exhibit also had no materials as shown in the picture. When I told an attendant that the exhibits were disorganized and that there was only two crayons for the kids, she picked up the broken tiny pieces and counted saying "oh one two three four, I see more than two." I said "okay... well it needs to have materials at the stations and the other stations are also missing materials." She replied with "is there a problem?" I said "yes. This really isn't worth the price if kids can't truly experience it." To which she said "you're free to leave and get a refund." Super rude. The WHOLE ship area where kids can fish with the magnetic rods was FILLED with mold and disgusting water. I don't think they ever clean this place. My nephew got hand, foot, mouth disease after leaving this place. I got a stomach virus. DO NOT RECOMMEND. ZEST POOL FOR GERMS AND BACTERIA.

Such a cute museum to take the kiddos in the weekend. Came in for the first time with my boys 4-9 and we had a great time. We spent about 3 hours and change including breaks and lunch. They have several prices based on if you are a Florida resident and or a Miami Dade resident. Also veterans are free and up to 4 guest for a discount. The museum is heavily targeted to little ones from 2 to maybe 7 with a lot of play pretend areas. The museum staff was attentive and professional. They had a small Lion guard exhibit which was very cute. To eat they only have a subway which is marked up in price. And they do also serve personal pizzas. They don't allow strollers in the subway and they will ask you to take it outside. They have plenty of outdoor sitting but in the summer it might not be ideal to eat in the heat with a little one. Their employees were also not the nicest. It was a very cute museum, but with the Miami traffic might not be ideal for some.

I came with a group of friends and we purchased our tickets online in advance and each adult ticket was about $56. They require time slots to ensure the exhibits are not over crowded at any point in time which we realized was very helpful while we were there. Once we entered the convention center, we made the line and were led into the first room and from then on we were able to walk into each next room at our own pace which was nice because we weren't being rushed despite the time slots on our tickets. There was at least one attendant in each room where the art exhibit was not meant to be touched or stood on. There were so many interesting photo and video opportunities throughout the exhibit. Which was awesome, but experiencing it is completely different (videos and pictures are not as fun. Some of the installations are interactive and of course this is a family friendly exhibit so that is something to keep in mind as there were a lot of children present and at moments it was very loud and rowdy. My only complaint is that the only way to get to the bathroom was either way the very beginning or very end of the experience, so if you needed to use the bathroom halfway through, you would have to walk through the entire museum to get to the restroom. At the very end there is a gift shop where they had tons of balloon art, toys and cute trinkets for purchase. They also had a seating area and a cafe with some sandwiches, pastries and refreshments. Overall a cool experience and I would recommend this to anyone with children, or someone looking for a cute date idea.

You have to buy tickets online and the only downside was that the fees were as much as one of the tickets. Traffic downtown is a challenge, as is parking but we found a lot that wasn't far. We arrived exactly at our ticket time and after our QR code was scanned we were led into the first room with a group of about 15 people. We all moved at our own pace from room to room. The staff was friendly and upbeat and everything was kept pretty clean. There were lots fun quiz questions and facts and games and most rooms had cups of different flavors of ice cream. I can honestly say I have never before eaten so much ice cream in one evening. They had one room set up like an airplane- that took us to Frosty Land and the flight attendant served more ice cream as we watched the ice cream themed scenery out the "windows". One room was carnival themed with games, cotton candy and caramel popcorn flavors of ice cream. There was a room full of freezers and a couple had secret rooms. There was a soda fountain room with a bar and jukebox and slides down to the sprinkle pit. The museum is good for all ages and all levels of interest. We paid $149 for two adults and a toddler, which already sets a pretty high expectation for the experience. The biggest highlight was definitely the unlimited ice cream offered throughout the exhibits -- fun flavors and a cute concept. If you're a dessert lover or going for the photos, you'll probably enjoy that part. However, everything else felt surprisingly basic. The installations were colorful but not as immersive or interactive as I expected, and the space was extremely crowded, which made it hard to really enjoy or take photos comfortably. Service also impacted the experience. The staff at the front entrance weren't very helpful or welcoming when we arrived, and many of the employees inside seemed unhappy or disengaged. Energy from staff really sets the tone at places like this, so that was disappointing. For families: it is kid-friendly, but just be prepared for crowds and stimulation. Toddlers may enjoy the visuals and treats, but I'm not sure the cost justifies the experience. Pros: * Unlimited ice cream samples * Bright, fun photo opportunities * Kid-friendly environment Cons: * Very crowded * Price does not match the experience * Staff engagement could be better * Exhibits felt basic for the hype Would I return? No -- once was more than enough for me.

If this was a $10 admission fee, I'd probably add one star. But, they charge $25/pp and there's not much to the place. All that said....is it interesting? Sure. It makes you wonder why the guy who built the place obsessively worked to make it. The story about his lost love gives his the motivation. Still, pretty incredible that he went to this effort by himself.

My husband has wanted to come here ever since he was a kid, after hearing Leonard Nimoy talk about…read moreit on his show In Search Of.... Hubs told me about it, and then we heard about it together on Coast to Coast Am, early in our marriage. I had forgotten all about it until we were planning our trip to the Keys and my husband brought it up, so, we made it a priority to visit. Homestead is basically the last city you hit on the mainland before you begin your journey through the Keys, so you don't really have to make special plans to get here if you're heading there. Admission is $25 per adult, slightly less for children. With tax and a credit card convenience fee of $1.50, our total admission cost was $55. Personally, I think it was worth it, but then, I am into the weird stuff. The place can accomodate at least 100 people, but due to the oddity of the place and, I'm guessing, it's lack of notoriety, it doesn't seem to get very busy. There were maybe 25-30 people in the 2.5 hours we spent there. Coral Castle is almost entirely outdoors and exposed to the elements, so it is not really a castle. There are sitting areas, a dining area, bathing area and one enclosed living (sleeping) area. The living area could be called a tower, as it is two floors, but 1) You only get to see the lower floor which is now kind of a tool shed museum and 2) You can peek in it, but you can't actually go in it. Everything is made of a type of stone called oolite limestone. It is extremely strong and very heavy. The mystery of the castle is how it was built. How did one 5' tall man move multiple stones, weighing a ton or more, by himself? How did he make his stone chairs rock, and his stone gates turn? He claimed to know the secrets of the pyramid builders, and to this day, no one really knows how he did it. There are guided tours at regularly scheduled intervals, and you can join in anytime at no additional charge (recommended), or you can walk around and look at everything yourself, but there is no signage. You can stay as long as you want and take as many pictures as you want as well. There is a gift shop which has a cutout of Edward Leedskalnin, the man who built Coral Castle, that you can take a photo of or selfie with, along with the usual gift shop fare of shirts/sweatshirts, postcards, magnets, books, and other items. If you're looking for something interesting and unusual to do on the way to the Keys, I highly suggest a stop here. 99/2025
