You'll see every gay from NYC who's on the island for the week, the weekend, or even just the day. The best part about tea here is that it's your first real look at who's around. It's super social and makes it easy to connect with people. If you're going with a group, lean into it and do a themed tea with coordinated outfits. Nothing is too corny or off-limits. That's part of the Fire Island tradition. They also host drag shows during the week with Bubbles, which are always a good time. And you really never know who you'll run into.
