I did pick up a cinnamon roll (pretty good, but very sweet, more like a donut) and a chocolate croissant (not so good; very dense; not flaky). Their website says they are open daily 7 am - 5 pm, but are often open til 8 pm or later. Note: Yelp had listed the place as closed, but it's definitely open. I submitted the change to the Yelp team.

And they're consistently open which doesn't sound like much but there are other places that run on island time. It's as if her job description reads: "Scowl, sigh heavily, and make customers question all their life choices." She manages to inject rudeness into the most basic exchanges, going out of her way to be curt, unhelpful, and generally unpleasant. If Montauk ever needed a mascot for passive-aggressive hostility, she'd be overqualified. This isn't a case of someone having a bad day -- this is a professional commitment to being a human sandpaper strip. The contrast with the rest of the staff is so stark it's almost performance art. For the sake of the store's otherwise stellar reputation, she should be moved into a role that doesn't involve live humans. Stock room. Night shift. Mars. Anywhere but the checkout lane. I've not had a problem finding anything grocery wise here, they usually have all the needs covered. The variety of prepared foods is amazing. They are a great stop if you want something ready, made, and set to heat up/enjoy at home. Staff have usually be helpful and there usually have been plenty of staffed lines as well as self checkout kiosks available. I thought I may be waxing nostalgic until my most recent visit to the area and using this store again...nope, they are still that solid of a store to me. Two thumbs up!
