The local restaurant was closed on a day the web said it was open, so I took the 20 minute walk east to Ocean Beach and easily found the store. Don't bother with the $$$ water taxi, or the super sandy mid-road (with mini-ponds to go through after rain!) It is a lovely walk on the beach. Fruits, snacks, drinks and a really friendly staff made my lunch hunt easy. I was not immediately interested in the deli, but that was more about not wanting to carry a sandwich around on a hot day. *Tip: I would bring a plastic bag. Sandwiches were ok, not great, Mac salad was pretty bland, antipasto salad was way too salty. Pickle was the best part of the lunch. The açaí bowls looked popular, though. No seating available, but we walked down to the bay, took a right, and ate on a bench overlooking the bay.

They serve hot food as well as standard sandwiches and they stuff the sandwiches quite a bit, almost too much. The service at the counter is always friendly when they take my order. The issue is, they are extremely overpriced. A bologna sandwich on a simple roll and a seltzer should not be approximately $20. The chicken cutlets are microwaved when they are ordered and they just aren't good and they are very pricy. Also, they don't sell drinks in cans, which would be a bit cheaper because a bottle of soda for $4 is just not fair. If you want a standard deli sandwich, at a reasonable price, I'd try a different deli in the area.
