That's about it. So sad. From looking it up, it looks like the meter will be $4.50. This is cheaper than Pass A Grille and Clearwater Beach off hand which is $5-6 an hour at the meters. Still love this beach bc it's not crowded, and very peaceful and chill.

We saw more birds than people as I think most folks just go to the beach. This park includes three distinct environments... beach, freshwater marshes and forest all very close to each other, with easy-to-follow unmarked trails and clean public bathrooms. We walked and explored and enjoyed for several hours, seeing osprey with young chicks, a pileated woodpecker, herons, ducks, a variety of stunning warblers, a loggerhead shrike and more! We also saw a variety of native butterflies and plants/trees/flowers, so I contributed those identifications since that's more my area of expertise. I was thrilled to see, for the first time in my life, the elusive Blue-Winged Warbler! Score! While I didn't obtain a photo, the sighting was definite and confirmed by my friend / guide / birding expert! Life is great when a small group of friends explore a beautiful and serene park, taking our time to really take it all in and as a bonus, I am able to add to my growing bird life list.

There's also a good amount of birds that fly around this area if you happen to be into birding or photography. If you're ever in this area around sunset definitely come by any of the beaches on the gulf coast they're all beautiful. Our wonderful Airbnb recommended a visit to this nearby nature preserve (walking distance from where we stayed...) and it was a GREAT for a mid-morning stroll (should have gone at sunrise, but VACATION!!) The park looks small-ish from the main road, but venture in and check out the beautiful boardwalk that will have you "up close and personal" with the mangroves, lots of informative signs about the "residents" of this preserve, and if you're luckier than we were, apparently lots of birds and other creatures. The trail is not incredibly well-marked, but it's short enough that even a wrong turn or two won't leave you hopelessly lost. Clean, scenic, COOL in the shade, and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!! Enjoy!!

It has a men's and women's bathroom, a shower, a small pavilion with several Permanent charcoal grills. Sadly, the problem is with the cost of using the beach. It now costs five dollars an hour to park here, which is outrageous! The only reason Belleair has a beach at all, is do to receiving the federal replenishing grant for beach re-nourishment. They then were forced to provide PUBLIC beach access. Which they did begrudgingly, with very minimal slots for public parking. After so many complaints about the lack of public parking, they finally opened up more, but then started charging. Fast forward to today, it's the most expensive spot around. $5.00 per hour.

I love coming to Indian Rocks Beach. It's very clean, and…read morenot packed with visitors. You don't have to make it an all beach day here, you can go ANYTIME during the day, and won't have to worry about parking. There's tons of restaurants to go to after the beach, or maybe you want to grab a dinner and walk to the beach and watch the sunset. I HIGHLY recommend coming here for your beach time, Clearwater and St.Pete are totally overrated beaches. This is the only beach I hang out at in the Tampa Bay Area. No crowds!

Jaime Anne organizes a series of parties every couple months on One Tree Island with no cover, several live DJ's, volleyball, corn-hole, music, dancing and a fun crowd! In the past, Jamie Anne setup boat transporting off of the beach near the Clearwater Beach Mariott Suites on Sand Key running 11am-6pm for the day of the party. For the latest upcoming party, boat pick-up and drop-off will be at the Belle Aire Causeway boat ramp at 3900 W. Bay Dr., Belleair Bluffs, FL 34640 and the boat transport fee has increased from $10 to $30. I presume this is because Clearwater Beach Mariott Suites complained about all the people taking up parking in their lot because the Mariott is way closer to the island. This location is accurately described. There is a Pier near a small park and group of hotels. The…read morePier vendors set up two hours before sunset and depart two hours after sunset. Performers, musicians and comedians gather at the bottom of the Pier. It is a creative way to attract a crowd. There are bathrooms and a few restaurants across from the Pier. You can find lots of shopping and dining within just a few blocks. We were careful to have our pockets zipped and we took cross body bags. It is easy to get distracted with a large group of people. The top of the pier allows fishing. It costs a dollar to enter the gated area. It is super windy at the end of the pier. Watch your ball caps!
