This has a good trail, two lakes, and the typical Florida plants. It is a very pleasant 2 mile walk around the trail. There is a boardwalk out to the large lake, but they have neglected it and there are more and more hundreds of square meters of water weeds clogging it. If they don't do something soon, the lake will become unusable. There is a 10 foot alligator in the small lake that you occasionally see, which is fun. He/she sometimes suns himself on the bank so be careful. After Milton and Helene, the squirrels that used to follow you around on the trail are nowhere to be seen, and very few birds either. I suppose over time they will repopulate the park. It's a great way to spend an hour or so. read more

Lake Seminole Park is a beautiful that is located on the east side of Lake Seminole in Pinellas Co. The entrance is on the north side of Park Ave. Parking is mostly free. In the lot where there's the boat launch, you have to pay. The parking is free everywhere else. There's a 2 mile walking/biking trail with some beautiful views. The trail is very heavily forested and can be a little humid because there aren't too many breezes along the way. We did the one mile loop and had a great time. The park was immaculate. We were there on a weekday and the park was pretty crowded. So, I would imagine that it can get really crowded on the weekends. Be sure to check out the big swing along the trail. Lake Seminole Park is probably one of the best parks to go to in Pinellas County. Tons of shelters, lakes, trails, and play areas for kids; this is a fantastic place to go to for family fun! Shelters come in various sizes and you can always go online to reserve a spot ahead of time. The one shelter we got this time that I went overlooks Lake Seminole and is next to one of the softball fields. The shelter had plenty of tables available and was really close to bathrooms which keeps things convenient. The shelter also has 2 BBQ grills close by, making it perfect for having a group outing. Finally, the views are great and make for a perfect spot for taking pictures and just enjoying the view :) read more

This is one of the nice big parks in Pinellas County. There are some climbing features at one of the playground areas. Lots of covered picnic areas. Bathrooms. Water fountain. Well maintained. We didn't get a chance to see all of the park but we enjoyed our visit and watching some other peeps fish with their family nearby. Walsingham Park nearby and the Botaqnical Gardens and Heritage Park next to it with historic buulding exhibits are even better!!! But this also a nice big park eith shade beneath trees and water views. read more

This park is huge and gorgeous. We took our dog to this park and we were hoping for a great trail to take him on. We found it deep into the park. There is a nice paved 2 mile long trail. It has an opportunity to turn off at the one mile mark for a shorter walk. It zigs through trees, has a small overlook onto one lake and another lake in the center of it. There are a few picnic tables and a swinging bench along the trail. We really enjoyed our walk. It was very scenic and we spied a few alligators (in the lake), a rabbit, a woodpecker, an armadillo and a ton of squirrels. The paved trail is wide enough for others to pass by. In other areas of the park, there were a lot of picnic areas with grills. There is a nice playground, a boat ramp, several different ponds/ lakes/ bayous? The park is large and you are likely to find a spot somewhere that will fit your family. I really like this park and we and our pup will be returning again soon. read more

What a gorgeous park! It is beautiful and well-maintained. There are great benches around the pond and lake to enjoy the views and wildlife. The boat launch was great too! A local friend and I went water skiing and had a great time. I would definitely come back to explore more of the paths and would recommend bringing a camera to capture the beauty! read more

Love this park and its shaded trails. This park has a running / bike trail that's marked up every quarter mile for 2 miles so it's perfect for training for races or just working on your fitness. There's a playground, boat ramp, baseball field, covered benches and even bike rentals so it's great for a picnic or family outing. It's also pet friendly but please pick up after your dogs. And there's some great wildlife there. Been a regular here for years and I've spotted a range of animals from gators to bunnies to a coyote. There's also some hiking trails if you care to venture out. Every day you'll catch a ton of workout gurus walking, running, roller blading and biking the trail. With the trees hanging over the trail, it's always cooler than you'd expect in the Florida sun. read more

Great two mile trail, I just wish it snaked around the lake more. There is tons of parking and I made the mistake of parking away from the trail. There are lots of picnic benches, and covered picnic benches. I parked the first area I saw a lot of cars, near shelter #5 and had to walk a bit to get to the trail. There is a nice play structure. This looks like a great place to have a kid's birthday party! The bathrooms were clean, but it weirded me out a bit that it had openings around the top and bottom of the wall. It made it a little awkward to change in there. The two mile trail is pretty nice. A lot of great vegetation and now and then a view of the lake. There is even a water fountain half way and a bowl that dogs can drink out of. I saw a lot of cars with boats driving by, so I'm guessing you can dock on the lake. This place is clean and relatively large. It's a great park to have in Pinellas County. read more

I love this park. There so much that can be done here, looking for a place to have cookout gather at on of the many covered gazebos that overlook the beautiful lake Seminole. looking to go for a morning or afternoon run then head over to the 1 mile or 2 mike track located in the back end of the park. They do have a play area for kids, as well as a boat ramp if you want to take the boat or jet ski out to the water. They also have a baseball field and available restrooms for your use. There is wildlife here, I've seen alligators, snakes, birds, squirrels and many many more. This is also where i dispose of my recyclable items. I love this park. I never feel unsafe going here no matter what time of day it is. Unlike other parks in the area, Seminole Lake Park is family friendly and I highly recommend it for anyone who's trying to get in shape. The tarmac paths are wide enough for bikes, strollers, rollerblading, and running. I like that's it's never too crowded on the pathways.The main path is 2 miles long, but offers a 1 mile cut off point. There's a scenic dock at the halfway point. Unfortunately, this dock is being repaired, as of 12-3-16. I've seen plenty of gators here, a variety of birds, raccoons, turtles, snakes, and countless squirrels. The park is well maintained- and that includes the restrooms. There are covered picnic areas (13 in total) scattered throughout the park. In the middle of the park, you'll find "Wheel Fun Rentals". This rental company offers deuce coupes ($25), Surreys ($25/$35) (they have 2 person or 4 person), tandem bikes ($15), chopper ($12), quad sport ($12), cruiser bikes ($10), and children's bikes ($8). All prices listed above our hourly and exclude sales tax. In addition, you can rent kayaks and "water bicycles" as well. There's a snack bar incase you're thirsty from all that exercise! I posted a photo of the snacks sold at the stand. The photo was taken from their website. If you own a boat, bring it on down to the boat ramp. For those interested in softball or volleyball, they have a softball field and volleyball court. The kids can enjoy the playground or learn to fish. Beautiful park. I think the temp dropped 5 degrees as soon as I entered the park there is so much shade. Can only repeat what others say: well maintained, lots of free parking, large playground with benches, free boat launch where there were at least 10 boat trailers parked. The trail winds through wooded areas; oh my gosh there was even a crocodile warning area! Even though I enjoy longer trails such as Walsingham, will bike there again. read more

This park is gorgeous! I recently visited for a birthday party at Shelter #5. The shelter was large and just a short walk from the playground. The shelter was large and had many large picnic tables. The view was priceless! We were right in front of the lake. You can see the picture I posted for a glimpse. There was also a large swing nearby (fits 2-3) so you could sit and overlook the water. This park is in good shape, and has staff coming around to clear the trash often. You can go online to reserve a shelter in advance for an event. I suggest #5! read more

Beautiful park! My family often gathers here for a cookouts. There are so many shelters (which are pretty big) and even if you don't reserve in advance, there's a good chance, you get one. At least, two grills by each shelter. Trash cans are always clean and recycle cans are available. Clean bathrooms. Huge kids' playground. Lots of water around. Love looking at the ducks and other birds on the water. A ramp for boats/jet ski is available. Lots of paths for bikes and roller blades. My dogs love running on the lovely green hills. read more

I also stalked a mohawked bird dancing during some courtship dance for another (more well groomed ) bird. THINGS TO DO Leave the basketball and baseballs behind--this park is for nature-lovers. Launch your little boat from the marina there (lots of water views), catch Frisbees within several small expanses of fields, go to the playground, or just walk like a maniac in circles among the thick trees. Park is conveniently located off Park Boulevard in Seminole, this park is a revisit for me. I use to come here all the time when I worked in the area.Not much has changed . As far as parks go this park was super clean even the bathrooms were clean which is hard to come by. The park has plenty walking trails which I love and few surprises. I am really happy that this park has a place to rent bikes and other fun equipment. The same guy you rent bikes from you can also grab a drink to quench your thirst. We rented one of the six passenger bikes at Wheel Fun Rentals. It was so much fun! The park is lovely and has nice walking, jogging, and riding paths. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Florida. read more

A good 1 and 2 mile trail, a fun grassy hill, shelters that need to be reserved way in advance, boat ramps, two playground areas, bridges over water areas, geocashing, lots of picnic tables, etc. pretty open too so you will not get turned around. read more

I wish this park was a tad closer to me. It's one of the better running trails. I enjoy it because it is mostly shaded, which not a lot of trails are. One whole loop is 2 miles and there is even a halfway point if you only want to do one mile. The running trail is all the way in the back, past the boat ramp though. It's a cool park and all but there isn't really many places that are engulfed in nature, there is always people in sight somewhere

The walking trail is mostly covered which is nice to get a break from the opressive Florida heat. At almost the mid halfway point on the 2 mile walk, to your left before you make the turn is where kids go to have sex and smoke dope back in the woods there. The wander out of the woods dazed and laughing, kinda funny. There is no security on the trail so be aware of your surroundings. In fact, I don't think the park is staffed at all, except for the old guy that locks the gate at night. I have seen the same discarded bag of chips floating from one corner of the parking lot to the next over the course of weeks going there. On duty Police officers do park in remote areas of the park for naps. 2 local marinas bring huge salt water boats there for shakedowns and test rides because its fresh water and doesn't require much cleanup on the boat after use. They can be very loud. Don't go in the water or get any in your ears or nose, the brain destroying amoebas are in the water, have been for almost 20 years now. A long time ago-about 20 years, there were state people there at the boat ramp. They popped up exactly when I pulled my boat out of the water with a clip board, a laminate badge hanging around their neck, and vague questions, they always recorded my boat and tag number. They always asked me in a round about way if I had been in the water or submersed my head in the water. I always replied I know whats in the water, and wouldn't even stick a finger in there if I could help it. I asked them why they didn't question or do something about the jet ski rental place, I guess they didn't care about them. read more
