Good trail for bike rides. The path is usually kept clean without too much debris. There are a couple of inclines that can be challenging.

It's a beautiful trail with bridges and trees. Very nice for walking, running. Good distance, not too far, or too short. I love it!

We saw more birds than people as I think most folks just go to the beach. This park includes three distinct environments... beach, freshwater marshes and forest all very close to each other, with easy-to-follow unmarked trails and clean public bathrooms. We walked and explored and enjoyed for several hours, seeing osprey with young chicks, a pileated woodpecker, herons, ducks, a variety of stunning warblers, a loggerhead shrike and more! We also saw a variety of native butterflies and plants/trees/flowers, so I contributed those identifications since that's more my area of expertise. I was thrilled to see, for the first time in my life, the elusive Blue-Winged Warbler! Score! While I didn't obtain a photo, the sighting was definite and confirmed by my friend / guide / birding expert! Life is great when a small group of friends explore a beautiful and serene park, taking our time to really take it all in and as a bonus, I am able to add to my growing bird life list.

The beach is nice and wide, so plenty of space to spread out. The beach is also clean! There are lifeguards, but not this day. I think they are there typically in the summer.

We had 3 little ones, 3, 5 & 7 and KC was super patient with the kids and knew where to find the best "treasures"....manatees, alligators and special hidden creeks and springs! KC took care of everything! Plenty of healthy snacks & cold drinks for all in our group of 7 and thoughtful surprise gifts for the kids (squirt guns, floaties, cute sunhats for the girls and an Indian arrowhead for our boy!) Not a detail overlooked. KC took the time to get to know the kids and our family so that everyone would be comfortable. He taught our 6 year old to kayak and paddleboard in just 1 afternoon. The kids are still talking about the day! So glad we went with a guide today, but more importantly KC! Now I know why Coconut Kayak Tours is #1!

KC picked us up from the hotel (who cares about the minivan like a previous reviewer). We did a nearby location so drive was less than 15mins, we spent about 6hrs on our trip - to areas we never would of know about. Unforgettable experience and KC was such an informative guide (my GF loved his facts about the celeb houses ). Next time we visit we will be doing it again. I can't recommend it enough and it was the highlight of trip.

Just in time right before Memorial weekend. Now there really won't be anymore free parking in the beach in Pinellas County / St. Pete to Clearwater Beach. We have a tiny few in Clearwater we found. That's about it. So sad. From looking it up, it looks like the meter will be $4.50. This is cheaper than Pass A Grille and Clearwater Beach off hand which is $5-6 an hour at the meters. In spite of the fact that this beach is "under construction," (including a looooong line of rusty steel pipes apparently transporting more sand from off shore...) it's beautiful, less crowded than other beaches in the area, and PERFECT for a quick, early fall getaway!! Avoid the crowds, and check out this beautiful, scenic, and soon to be EXTRA sandy gulf paradise... BONUS: You'll see sooooo many exotic birds (egrets, pelicans, herons...) you'll think you're DEEEEEP in the tropics, and not just a few miles away from the busy "strip!!" ENJOY!!
