After turning from the main road, East Bay, first interaction has a "Dead End" sign, go past the sign in order to follow the road to the parking lot. Good amount of parking spaces with signs are throughout for directions and description of animals or flowers along the way. The walk path is well designed and great spots for photos; saw a baby gator sunbathing, couple turtles, birds, ducks, and look forward to visit this lovely, clean and calm nature preserve again!

This was a cute little place but emphasis on little…read more.. it was one small room. One big tank in the center of the room, a few enclosures of snakes and frogs. A sandpit for kids to play in. A turtle tank. A tiny tank with some miscellaneous fish and a baby puffer, a touch tank with some sea urchins, horse shoe crabs, hermit crabs, sea stars, and sea cucumbers, another tank with some brittle stars and a sea horse, and one last tank with some lion fish! There's $3 admission for military but I cannot imagine paying double that. I hope the profit goes to something beneficial for wildlife. We really took our time checking out every tank once we saw how small the room was. There was an employee at the touch tank that was extremely knowledgeable about the animals they have. Overall it was enjoyable to step inside and spend 20 minutes looking at fish tanks.

My best friend just wanted to get on a boat and see dolphins...and we did!!! The ladies on the tour were so sweet, knowledgeable and brave lol. They would sort of hang over the front of the boat when we stopped to gather sea critters in a net for us to look at. It was fun to learn about the sea life and they always put them back safely. We sailed around the area near the coast and saw lots of dolphins, we even saw a baby dolphin!!! That was a first for me and it was so magical. We really enjoyed this tour and learning some really interesting facts about the wildlife and the area. Highly recommend this tour.

My friends and I were…read morelooking for an offbeat Halloween-themed GNO and aren't into the whole theme park thing - plus this is only $20 a person. Read on for details about our ghost tour though downtown St. Pete. Getting Tickets Saw the tour as an event shared on Facebook. Ordered our tickets online via the ghost tour site - very easy. This is the site I used https://www.ghosttour.com/ Parking Our tour was scheduled to leave at 8 p.m. Saturday evening, Oct. 12. We were instructed to meet up at Sweet Diva's 400 Beach Drive NE/4th Ave. North Side. Parking was a pain, but this is expected downtown. Might be a good idea to grab a bite or drink at Locale Market, walking distance to Sweet Diva's. Valet park for $5 (have Locale validate your parking!) this should allow you to park until 11 so you can do the tour and grab coffee or a beer after the walk. Ready, Set, Go! You can't resist stepping inside Sweet Diva's (unless you have some sort of insane amount of willpower) - the shop is super cute and filled with homemade chocolates and other goodies. Grab a bottle of water or coffee while waiting and be sure to use the rest room before the walk. The tour guide allows ten minutes for those running late w/tickets which is very nice, but do try to be on time! Meet Your Guide Our guide was named Neil Patrick (I know what you're thinking, far from it LOL) ... Neil was an older gent with more energy than I have in my entire freakin' body. We didn't ask, but it's obvious he is or was a stage actor at some point in his life. He walked at a perfect pace (and I'm a massive slowpoke so trust me, it's all good!) and was concerned that everyone in our group - of about 20 which included young couples and seniors vacationing - could hear him. What to Expect If you've never done one of these ghost tours before, you may want to note this isn't going to scare the out of you. This is more of a historical ghost story telling type thing. Neil provided us with interesting background on famous area landmarks such as the Vinoy Hotel, the Blocker Mansion, Cordova Inn and more as well as famous ghosts like Esther Wright aka The Bird Woman of St. Pete. Tip Bring cash for tip - your tour guide is worth it.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with C Ponies, and I can't recommend them enough--especially if you're looking for something unique, meaningful, and truly unforgettable. What makes this experience so special goes far beyond just "riding horses on the beach." These are rescue horses--many of them coming from difficult or neglectful situations--and C Ponies has created something really beautiful by giving them a second chance at life. You can feel how deeply loved and well cared for these horses are. They are healthy, happy, and genuinely seem to enjoy their work. One of the most fascinating parts was learning that the water is actually healing for them. Being in the ocean supports their joints and overall wellness, so this experience isn't just fun for us--it's beneficial for them, too. That alignment made the entire experience feel even more special and ethical. Our guide, Raina, was fantastic. She had the perfect mix of humor (yes, some delightfully corny jokes), warmth, and knowledge. More importantly, you could tell she truly loves these horses and what she does. She made everyone feel comfortable, safe, and engaged the entire time. Walking the horses into the water--and even getting to experience them swimming--was surreal. Each horse had its own personality, which made it even more fun. You could tell they were relaxed, confident, and happy to be there. It didn't feel forced or transactional--it felt like a partnership between humans and animals. Living in Sarasota, it also meant a lot to support a business that is doing such meaningful work in our own SW Florida community. C Ponies is not only creating unforgettable experiences, but they are actively rescuing, rehabilitating, and giving these horses a life filled with purpose and care. If you're on the fence--book it. It's one of those rare experiences that stays with you long after it's over.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! Raina was an amazing guide, full of tons of information…read moreabout the bay, history of the ponies and nuances of each pony to better assist each rider. Would highly recommend! This is an experience you'll never forget. Thanks to Raina, Coral, Dori and Snooki.
