We saw dolphins within the first 10 minutes on the pontoon. :) After perching on the sand bar and getting off the pontoon to look for shells and sealife, that's when the fun for the family really started. As a result, the company stated they could no longer legally accommodate my booking as originally planned. The message offered three options: reduce our group to six people, reschedule for a later date, or accept a refund. While I understand that staffing issues can occur, this explanation and solution are not acceptable given that this was a pre-booked, planned event that multiple people organized their schedules around. What is most frustrating is the timing and lack of proper contingency planning. A business offering group charters should not be in a position where a single staffing change results in last-minute cancellations or forced downsizing of paid bookings. This reflects poor organization and a lack of reliability. Because of this, I had to scramble last minute to salvage my birthday plans. What was supposed to be a chartered experience has now turned into a simple beach day with drinking games and making the best of a situation that should never have been handled this way. Overall, the experience was highly inconvenient and disappointing, and it significantly disrupted our plans. For a service that markets itself around special outings and experiences, this level of instability is not acceptable. I would strongly caution others against booking with Sweet Escape Charters unless you are comfortable with the possibility of last-minute cancellations and significant disappointment, especially for important events.

I was very pleased with how well Captain Randy communicated and provided additional insight. Upon closer to the time for our day I had a follow up conversation with Cassie who provided even more information that brought comfort not only to me but my guests as well. They provided a cooler with ice and water as well as numerous floats and shelling bags. The whole experience was relaxing and refreshing. Our captain for the day was Jordan and she was Spectacular with keeping us on time and showing us around. We did a 4 hour boat tour but were able to have time on the slide and visit two islands. Phil just being a hardworking, knowledgeable, and fun guy to be around... it was such a great day chasing multiple species of fish. We started the day chasing Tarpon. We had 2 tarpon hookups but couldn't seal the deal. I fought one that jumped 7 or 8 times but broke me off in the end. What a rush!!! Then my daughter had a shark break her off at the back of the boat. We moved spots and caught a 4.5 foot Black Tip Shark! What a battle! We also caught our limit on Mangrove Snappers and caught some Red Fish to finish out the day. Besides all the fish we caught, we saw alot of the wildlife that Florida has to offer while out fishing today. We saw a manatee, sea turtles, so many dolphins, a 7-8 foot hammerhead shark that swam right under the back corner of the boat. Also, the dolphins ate a couple of the fish that we released! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…read more My wife and I were in town on vacation and wanted to get out onto the water. However, we did not want to go with a large group or spend a lot of money. I came across Charter Finders and saw they were veteran owned. I contacted them via telephone, they answered all of my questions, and were extremely polite. They offer a discount for veterans and first responders which was nice and was a draw for us. We knew we were likely in good hands. The boat leaves from Sea Dog Brewery which was great for grabbing drinks to go and bring with! They make a good seltzer FYI. Dean and Tim had a cooler with ice on board where you could throw your own booze. There were only 6 other people on board and it made for a much better experience. We made friends and just sat back and relaxed. We were able to see dolphins up close on the way to shell key island and back. (See attached photo) Once we were at shell key advice was provided as to where to find shells. Some of us had high success. We were unable to snorkel due to visibility. The island is beautiful and not populated. The trip was roughly 3 hours long, but they were nice enough to extend it an hour so we got very very lucky. We highly recommend Dean & Tim and cannot wait to go again in the future.
