If you are in the Treasure Island, Fl and want an on-water experience, skip the tourist trap sunset dinner and the crowded catamaran cruises and give friendly Captain Greg a call and reserve his comfortable and safe pontoon boat. Captain Greg will tailor an on-water experience to your liking and budget. I found Captain Greg by happenstance via Google search and I am so glad I did. I wanted a sunset cruise for the beautiful and gracious Karla as a birthday treat. Capt Greg gave us a tour around Treasure Island highlighting points of interest, homes with unique landscape touches and even stopping and jumping into shallow water to show us sea life. The pièce de résistance of the very enjoyable cruise was heading into the gulf to witness a beautiful sunset. Give Captain Greg a call..he is what floats your boat.

Sweet Escape Charters - Sunset cruise & private boat tour in St Pete aboard our luxury catamaran.

Our family used this charter to commemorate my mother's passing and it was a wonderful experience…read more The staff was very empathetic and accommodating. The catamaran exceeded our expectations and we would definitely use them in the future and would most definitely recommend their charter service.

I am extremely disappointed with how this charter from Sweet Escape Charters was handled…read more I received a last-minute text message informing me that my charter was canceled because the captain who held the required license for groups larger than six passengers "unexpectedly resigned." As a result, the company stated they could no longer legally accommodate my booking as originally planned. The message offered three options: reduce our group to six people, reschedule for a later date, or accept a refund. While I understand that staffing issues can occur, this explanation and solution are not acceptable given that this was a pre-booked, planned event that multiple people organized their schedules around. What is most frustrating is the timing and lack of proper contingency planning. A business offering group charters should not be in a position where a single staffing change results in last-minute cancellations or forced downsizing of paid bookings. This reflects poor organization and a lack of reliability. Because of this, I had to scramble last minute to salvage my birthday plans. What was supposed to be a chartered experience has now turned into a simple beach day with drinking games and making the best of a situation that should never have been handled this way. Overall, the experience was highly inconvenient and disappointing, and it significantly disrupted our plans. For a service that markets itself around special outings and experiences, this level of instability is not acceptable. I would strongly caution others against booking with Sweet Escape Charters unless you are comfortable with the possibility of last-minute cancellations and significant disappointment, especially for important events.

Need for Sea Boat Tours is a must-do when visiting the Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater/Madeira & Redington…read moreBeach area. John's Pass is where it is at and Capt Ryan was easy to book with, has competitive rates and his boat tour was fun and educational for our family of 4. He gave us a little info about the area, got us close to a couple pods of dolphins (even saw a mom and baby), and took us out to a sandbar where we all learned how to find sand-dollars and took home some amazing shells that we wouldn't have found on the beach. He knew a lot about every creature and shell we found. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely do the tour again. Tips: Bring a towel, water, sunscreens and a snorkel/mask if you want to venture along the sandbar more. Capt Ryan has a couple of water clear-view viewfinders but our one daughter wanted to snorkel and brought her own - us parents used his viewfinders. We HIGHLY recommend Need for Sea Boat Tours - it was the highlight of our weeklong vacation!

Didn't think I was going to enjoy looking for shells, but I was very wrong. On this route that the…read moredriver, Ryan, takes you on, you see many dolphins and many different shells and sea creatures that are fascinating. Ryan was also very nice and was fun talking to. He took pictures of my group, safely followed around the dolphins, and stopped the boat to grab my moms hat that flew off my head. Very nice time and would do it again!
